We had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Greenock Manor, and we could not have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, Chanel—who not only runs the venue but also served as our wedding coordinator and planner—was truly phenomenal. She is incredibly sweet, attentive, and went above and beyond to help us create a weekend we’ll never forget. Chanel connected us with amazing vendors, including our caterer, DJ, officiant, and photographer, and made the entire planning process feel seamless. She helped to ensure we were getting good prices, and she was always accommodating, communicative, responsive, and wonderfully organized, which made us feel completely at ease leading up to the big day. The venue itself is stunning—elegant, charming, and full of character. Our wedding was in late April, and the venue grounds were lush and vibrant with greenery and flowers. One of the highlights was the ample on-site lodging, which allowed the wedding party to stay with us over the weekend. Being able to spend extra time with our close friends and loved ones in such a beautiful setting made everything even more special. After the wedding, we took advantage of the fire pit on the property, and it turned out to be the perfect way to wind down with our wedding party and share a few more laughs before the weekend came to a close. We can’t recommend Greenock Manor—and Chanel—highly enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more.

Julie, Scott, and their team made our wedding day perfect. From the first site visit and throughout the planning process, they were amazing communicators. The venue has gorgeous outdoor spaces for the ceremony and cocktail reception. The indoor space is flexible for a reception with a dance floor. There are chairs for both the ceremony and reception as well as tables. We chose to have a June wedding and when the temps entered the upper 90s, we were grateful for the A/C reception space. Even better, there are two suites that the wedding party can use to make for a seamless process getting ready. We enjoyed our experience so very much. Lastly, the bathrooms there were also excellent and let’s be real, that’s a crucial component for any good party.

Where to begin! We have loved King Family Vineyards and the people there for a long time, so it was special to be married there. Throughout the planning process, their events team was very helpful & responsive. We met with Amanda about a month before, and walked through several last minute details. She was so incredibly helpful, answered several questions, and was so generous with her time and input. On the day of our wedding, we had to make a last minute change of ceremony location due to rain, and we had our ceremony on the patio. It was absolutely stunning, intimate, and smooth. The staff helped us above and beyond with last minute details, changes, chair-moving, etc. We felt so cared for throughout our wedding planning process, and definitely on the day-of. We’re beyond happy that we were married at KFV. There is nothing quite like it ☺ Thank you to all the KFV staff and family!!

Mount Fair Vineyard
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Crozet, VA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $6,995

Surrounded on all sides by mountains, Mount Fair provides an extraordinary setting for events. From hosting a small dinner at the Paddock House or Greenhouse to hosting weddings for up to 200 in our riding arena or on our fields, our venues can be used in multiple ways to entertain in uniquely creative ways.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Has a fun and festive vibe
  • Offers convenient lodging options

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • Dance floor not included
  • No in-house lighting and sound packages available
If I had to do it all over again, I would pick Mount Fair Vineyard every time. Everything was high quality: the wine, the views, the people, the communication, the property. I can hardly put into words how wonderful it was to work with Elaine and how much we enjoyed our wedding at Mount Fair. We fell more and more in love with it each time we visited and made the trip all the way from Georgia to bury our bourbon by the greenhouse. The Paddock House was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and getting ready in the morning while the groomsmen loved hanging out in the Tasting Room prior to the ceremony and the cottage was so convenient for us newlyweds. We were able to customize our day to exactly how we wanted it from the ceremony location to the catering team. You will have to bring almost everything in (restroom trailer, tent, chairs, etc) depending on the number of guests, but the property was so well taken care of that it speaks for itself, we barely had to decorate! Just be aware that across the street is Montfair which may have a wedding at the same time and Apple/Google directions may give you slightly incorrect directions, so you may want to put up signs for your guests! Get married here, you won't regret it!

Montfair Resort Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding day. From the moment we first inquired, their communication was quick, easy, and mostly over email, making the planning process a breeze. The venue itself is truly gorgeous, with sweeping views and lush, soft grass that created a cozy and intimate atmosphere. Victoria, the on-site coordinator, was super hands-on in helping us plan the details, but also gave us the flexibility to put our own personal touches on the day. They provided all the tables and chairs we needed, and even set up beautiful tiki torches along the ceremony field. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and well-executed wedding celebration. Highly recommend Montfair Resort Farm to any couple looking for a stunning, rustic-chic venue with an amazing team to work with.

The whole Valley Road Vineyards team (especially Barbara, Stan, and Ester) were amazing to work with from start to finish. Out of all the vineyards we toured in the area, VRV’s event space felt very intentional (essentially not an afterthought) for a wedding. We had a wedding of 70 guests in October, and the event space layout made the flow of ceremony to cocktail hour to reception very natural/seamless. Some of our guests had mobility disabilities, and Barbara emphasized how important it was to have the venue be accessible and help those guests. Additionally, though it didn’t rain on our actual day, we loved the rain contingency plan within The Barn because it still gave us/guests the opportunity to admire the vineyard’s beautiful scenery. The views of the valley/mountains from Valley Road Vineyards are gorgeous, and our guests complimented the area and wines throughout our wedding day! The sunset is also STUNNING here. During the initial venue tour, Barbara did an excellent job showing us the spaces, giving us time to enjoy the wines and discuss questions/concerns, and was honestly just a joy to interact with. As a queer couple, we felt welcomed by the entire staff. Throughout the entire planning process, Barbara was very quick to respond to any questions we had, flexible to what our needs were, and extremely helpful. We highly recommend Valley Road Vineyards for your wedding day!

Everything about our planning process and wedding day at Pippin Hill was simply magical. Pippin Hill truly knows how to make a wedding day smooth, seamless, and beautiful. Part of why we chose to get married at Pippin Hill was the breathtaking scenery, but also because of their many plan B options. We knew there was a chance it could rain during our outdoor wedding ceremony, and their rain option, the Veranda, is gorgeous as well. Somehow we ended up dodging Hurricane Dorian’s precipitation for our September 6th wedding and we were able to get married on the lawn with 122 of our closest family members and friends as witnesses. Davis and her team were incredible, the food was exceptional, and overall we just had the best day ever! I loved getting ready in the bridal loft with my girls. On the day-of, I honestly felt 0 stress because I knew the team at Pippin Hill would take care of everything perfectly. I enjoyed every moment of the day. These people are professionals and will put every worry that you may have to rest. I can not recommend Pippin Hill enough!
