“The Secret Garden At Rancho Santa Fe was an absolute dream venue for our wedding! This venue came with the best team and I would 10000% recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless experience and beautiful wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the team was responsive, quick, and clear in their communication, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Kendra did our initial tour and did a great job laying everything out on the table so there wouldn’t be any surprises. We could not believe everything that was included and the value- but it truly is an all inclusive experience. Mary was great with communication and answered all of my questions (even the really silly ones). On the day of, the quality of their work was truly amazing - they executed my vision perfectly, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Tammy, Ellen, and Brian who were our incredible photo/video team, went above and beyond to make us feel at ease and ensure we had a fun, memorable experience. Last but certainly not least - Laura was our coordinator and she was absolutely EPIC. She played such a huge role throughout the process and relieved so much of my stress through multiple meetings and emails. She made sure everything was perfect the day of, kept me calm (which is not easy to do) and was an absolute gem. She is truly one of a kind and the absolute best - I could not have asked for a better coordinator. We are so grateful to the entire team for helping make our special day perfect (and EPIC) in every way. It truly was the dream team and a dream wedding - thank you epic events for everything!”

“La Jolla Cove Rooftop is a gorgeous venue with some of the best views in San Diego, but the photos can show you that. What isn’t immediately known, but becomes obvious, is how great of a venue it is because of the people who work there. My husband and I booked our wedding at La Jolla Cove Rooftop over two years in advance from our wedding day. We spent that time fully customizing our day, including DIYing most of our decor. We were able to access the venue at any time we wanted, whether to check measurements or show it off to family visiting from out of town. They took care of all the bigger vendors (bakery, florist, DJ) so we could focus on the details that mattered to us. Even then, their hand selected vendors were fully customizable to us and brought our vision to life. Bree was the coordinator we met with throughout the process, and she was always so warm and so enthusiastic about our vision. She had many couples of her own, but when we showed up for rehearsal day, Bree still remembered us, gave us a big hug and was ecstatic about our day. Robert was our coordinator for the last meeting, rehearsal and wedding day. We couldn’t have had such a beautiful day without him. Immediately, Robert understood who we were as a couple and was extremely keyed in to all the little things we had worked on the last 2 years. We felt extremely comfortable putting our vision in his hands, and he became a very trusted partner quickly. When it became clear that we would have to move to a rain contingency plan, changing the vision of our wedding day we had for years, Robert was available to us to answer questions, quickly come up with a plan and comfort us through the anxiety of changing everything at the last minute. On wedding day, when the rain got the best of me, Robert was the one to give me a hug and let me process my emotions before our ceremony. The day was absolutely perfect thanks to Robert and team. All of our guests have told us what a great experience they had, and that they even liked being under the pavilion all together more because it gave the wedding an intimate feel. Even with the quick changes, all the important details were included and executed well. Our parents felt cared for by Robert during the whole process as well, he went out of his way to ensure their needs were attended to and they felt important. When Robert left for the night, Esteban and the rest of the team stepped in to take great care of us. Esteban even kindly helped me put my (very rain soaked) dress into a trash bag once the dance floor started so I could change into something more comfortable. At the end of the night, they had no problem kicking out our guests so we could have a private last dance. Shout out to everyone at La Jolla Cove Rooftop for making our wedding day exceptional, even with the weather throwing a wrench into the plans. We will never forget the kindness, warmth and love shown to us on the most important day of our lives. “We got married here on April 25, 2026 and the entire planning experience was straightforward, easy and stress free. We worked with Sammy in the initial stages, Tabitha as our coordinator and Kelly as our banquet captain and they all worked tirelessly to give us the most perfect wedding ceremony and reception. We used all their recommended vendors - Flit Flowers, Elegance on Display (dessert), Photos by LMP, DJ Maestro - and they all communicated directly with the Wedgewood team and the day was flawless. Our guests commented on how much fun they had at the wedding and they even enjoyed all the food! We would highly recommend this place if you do not want to be stressed about your wedding day :)”

Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa

“I got married at the Coronado Island Marriott in April 2023. It was the most magical weekend of my life! It was an Indian wedding - 300 guests and had events both Friday and Saturday (3 events total), all held at the Coronado Island Marriott. The views from the wedding site are stunning - you get the water and downtown skyline as your backdrop, and people were stunned. One of our events (Sangeet - Friday night) was at the hotel's Skyline Terrace, and the sunset hitting downtown and the lights in the night were breathtaking. You also get a view of the Coronado bridge. Everywhere you go, there are views. Our guests were raving all weekend about the accommodations. The hotel boasts the biggest hotel rooms in San Diego, and they did not disappoint. They were extremely clean and modern. The biggest bonus was the hotel wasn't huge to where people felt overwhelmed walking from one side to another. It was intimate while still being spacious, and you got the vibe it was my wedding wherever you went in the hotel. The hotel is super close to the ferry to downtown, so when people had free time, some of them would go downtown for food or site-seeing, and come back. It was super easy. The hotel has a spa as well (my husband and I got a couples massage the day after the wedding), which is so tidy and relaxing as well. There's a park nearby, and flamingos on site which I know a lot of the kids loved watching. The Coronado Beach is a 10 min drive (which is where we got some of our wedding pictures done), and a few people spend time there. The hotel also has a wonderful/spacious pool area, which a lot of my friends used. There are also a lot of restaurants walking distance from the hotel, which was nice since each of the families had welcome dinners at separate places - guests didn't have to worry about ubering or walking far distances. There's something for everyone to do/see during down time at or near the hotel. The hotel at the restaurant is called Albaca, and served up some delicious food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all great), and cocktails. My husband loved Albaca's spicy margarita so much when we visited one time, that he decided to make it his signature drink! I know a lot of guests spent time there hanging out. I have to give a shoutout to Kheshini over at the Marriott (Director of Event Planning) who was with us every step of the way - from site tours, to signing, to helping us plan the event, to being there when it all came together. Even if we visited the Marriott unannounced and we let her know we were in town, she'd go out of our way to say hi. She is so friendly, and just the person you'd want helping run your event. She worked with us to try to get everything we wanted, and to make sure that we were happy (ex. I wanted a very specific watermelon vodka for my signature drink, and Kheshini made sure that they were able to find it and order it in time). She was also extremely patient with the questions that came from our parents (which was a lot!). If you're considering booking the Coronado Island Marriott as a wedding venue, I 10/10 would recommend to anyone. You will not be disappointed, and I felt like a princess the entire weekend. Everyone there is extremely polite and accommodating, and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and happy on the most important weekend of my life thus far.”

“My daughter had a quick engagement so finding a location for her wedding and reception was tricky but Malibu came through! They accommodated us and we had the ceremony outside on their property since there were no permits available for the grass area nearby. Suzy and Riley were incredible with their communication, planning and help throughout the process and we were blown away with the setup the day of the wedding...they far exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious and the whole setup turned out beautifully!. I highly recommend Malibu Farms!!!”

“This venue was one of TWO venues that fiancee and I even considered. Not only are they an affordable event space, their staff is just absolutely incredible. They space itself is PERFECT for those who want a lower light, romantic setting with a rustic feel. Wine barrels galore! And the open floor plan really helps with making the space your own for a little bit. It was really easy to map out everything you needed for the day. The BEST part was this venue has indoor/outdoor space. Perfect for those who want to stay warm, while also perfect for those who needed to get some fresh air. This is a major selling point if you plan on getting married in SD since this venue is close to the water. Personable hosts, very professional. They offered glasses of wine to us every time we did a site visit. Extremely communicative and flexible to work with your schedule if need be. Marlene was our wedding coordinator and she really did everything she could to make our day so special. She knows what it's like when they say, "Treat your guests like family"... She made you feel right at home! She will do everything within her power to make you feel at ease. There was not one time I felt concerned. Our bartender, Bryan, was the SWEETEST! He would make your drink and just talk with you like he knew you already. Our guests absolutely loved him. Even if you're not planning a wedding, I would recommend this spot to friends and family for other types of events, for sure. Such a classy establishment with the FRIENDLIEST people.”

“After touring several venues, we ended up choosing the very first one we saw—The Lane—and it was absolutely the right call. The venue gave our wedding the exact look and feel we had hoped for: modern, clean, coastal, and elevated without ever feeling formal or stuffy. From the start, we were drawn to The Lane’s gorgeous indoor/outdoor layout, its location close to the airport (super convenient for guests!), extended rental hours (12p–12a), and the fact that tables and chairs were included in the price—all at a very reasonable rate. Another huge plus: its direct connection to multiple hotels, which made setting up room blocks a breeze and took transportation logistics off our plate entirely. That peace of mind was invaluable. Our ceremony took place on the balcony overlooking the water, which gave our guests such a quintessential San Diego experience. Cocktail hour followed at the opposite end of the balcony, keeping the ocean views going as the sun began to set. The reception had a beautiful indoor/outdoor experience—some guests danced the night away while others enjoyed chatting on the balcony. Watching the sunset light up the room during dinner was one of the most memorable moments of the night. With 150 guests, the space felt just right—roomy without feeling too big. The small bridal suite was also a great spot for our wedding party and family to gather before and after the ceremony, and we got some sweet photos in there too. Every step of the day ran smoothly. All of our vendors had no trouble working with The Lane’s team and layout—it was seamless from start to finish. We’re so grateful we found this gem of a venue. If you're looking for something that’s stylish yet relaxed, and offers a true San Diego experience, The Lane is it!”

From our first call with Amanda who is one of the most helpful and sweetest people we worked with to our tour of the venue with her team we knew it was the place for our special day. Amanda was so helpful and answered all of our questions and was so accommodating throughout the whole process. This venue is truly the most beautiful venue we have ever stepped foot in, from the breathtaking views to the layout, floors, stunning entrance, built in bar, outdoor fireplace, stunning long balcony with a view of Petco Park for a Padres game during your event, high ceilings and a folding door that offers an indoor outdoor experience. They also offer furniture that the venue owns for your event and it worked out perfect for our cocktail style reception. Hannah kept all our scheduling and logistics perfectly organized and was always incredibly responsive. Their resources, timelines, suggestions, and regular check-ins kept us on track and completely stress-free. Before the wedding, they coordinated our rehearsal, food tasting, meal selections, dessert orders, and our request for bilingual bartender and waitstaff, which meant so much to us and our families. Our production meeting with Daisy was especially helpful; she walked us through every detail, asked thoughtful questions, and made sure nothing was overlooked. On the wedding day, Daisy was so kind and attentive. She made sure we were fed, taken care of, and stayed on schedule. The team's help with setup and decor was outstanding. “I am a wedding planner and The Japanese Friendship Garden is one of my favorite venues. Everywhere you look there is beauty. They have gorgeous flowers and trees, coy ponds, waterfalls, and bridges. There is an incredible amount of natural beauty even in the winter. My couples love this as it makes for magical photos. Their events coordinator, Marina is wonderful! She is incredibly organized, responsive, and knowledgeable about the venue. Her warm and professional presence puts my couples at ease and her exceptional organization keeps things running smoothly. I can tell she genuinely cares about the couples and their guests. The rest of the team at the garden is also great to work with. I highly recommend JFG&M to anyone looking to get married. Also, if you have a chance to attend their Dream of Niwa Wedding Expo, definitely do that!”

They were incredibly helpful planning our welcome drink event and even let us bring custom stickers for our bar tab and our own welcome sign, which added such a personal touch. On the day of, they were attentive and kept checking in with us to make sure everything was running smoothly. The space itself is stunning, and their beer selection was a huge hit—even our guests who don't normally drink beer were raving about it. “We loved having our wedding reception at the museum! It was a unique venue, bright, and spacious. It’s an experience we (and our guests) still talk about almost 6 years later. It was a stress free wedding as Jenny (venue coordinator) was so easy to work with and very helpful in coordinating with all of our vendors and day of wedding coordinator. The museum has an approved list of vendors, and made suggestions that made the night even more special (like keeping the dinosaur skeleton out during the reception!) The cocktail hour was held on the second level, and the guests were able to walk through the exhibits. The reception was on the first level which was spacious.”
