The Ultimate Skybox At Diamond View Tower is a unique event space and wedding venue in San Diego, CA. Couples and their guests are able to gaze out at the city skyline, providing an urban touch to a sweethearts’ event. Nearly-weds can easily host the unforgettable celebration that they’ve always envisioned! Overlooking Petco park with sweeping views of San Diego Bay and Coronado Island, The Skybox is at the top of the Diamond View Tower and is a versatile space suited to a myriad of events. Its understated design, modern aesthetics, and functional facilities make it an ideal setting for “I dos.” Our venue spans 4,500sqft and can accommodate up to 180 guests based on the time of year and type of event. The space includes a 100-foot-long patio with a 15-foot fireplace. With hardwood flooring, large windows, and sophisticated lounge furniture, the elegant venue can complement a couple’s wedding theme with little decor needed.     The BEST San Diego venue

    The Ultimate Skybox was a fantastic choice for our wedding venue. The communication with Amanda and her team was great. She always was super quick to reply and answer all of our questions. The team was also able to accommodate our wedding size when it turned out to be larger than expected. The space itself is incredible and doesn’t need much additional decor because the views are so amazing. Our guests are still raving about the breathtaking views from the top and the beautiful sunset. We couldn't have asked for a better venue for our special day.

    Perfect Wedding Venue!

    We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. The venue overlooks downtown San Diego, Petco Park, and the bay. the view is breathtaking both day and night. The balcony was the perfect spot for our ceremony. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. We had about 130 guests, and the space fit everyone comfortably for a cocktail style reception with no assigned seats. We even took our family photos at the venue before the ceremony, which turned out gorgeous thanks to the balcony and "giraffe room"! The built-in bar was ideal for our open bar setup, and the TVs were great for karaoke later in the evening! A huge shoutout to Cindy Sanborn, our coordinator, who was truly amazing. She knows the venue inside and out and made everything run smoothly. She made sure our day was perfect. We couldn’t recommend this venue enough. If you’re looking for a stunning San Diego location with incredible views and an experienced team, this is it!

    Wedding planner

    Cindy was truly amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding planner. She made my wedding planning and day very smooth. She was extremely helpful. She was so supportive and attentive. I can’t thank her enough for everything. Truly recommend booking her for your wedding planner

    Best Wedding Venue!

    If you are looking for the most amazing venue in San Diego with the best view you could ask for your wedding or event we highly recommend The Ultimate Skybox. From our first call with Amanda who is one of the most helpful and sweetest people we worked with to our tour of the venue with her team we knew it was the place for our special day. Amanda was so helpful and answered all of our questions and was so accommodating throughout the whole process. This venue is truly the most beautiful venue we have ever stepped foot in, from the breathtaking views to the layout, floors, stunning entrance, built in bar, outdoor fireplace, stunning long balcony with a view of Petco Park for a Padres game during your event, high ceilings and a folding door that offers an indoor outdoor experience. They also offer furniture that the venue owns for your event and it worked out perfect for our cocktail style reception. All vendors were familiar with the venue and worked seamlessly together to create the perfect wedding. We could not have been happier with this venue and we cannot wait to have another event here in the future. We can’t thank the Ultimate Skybox team enough for all their help and making our wedding day so amazing. Highly recommend the Ultimate Skybox for your wedding or event!

Yes and we do not charge a corkage fee, but you are required to have a licensed and insured bartending company from our required vendors list serve your alcohol.
Yes, we have a parking garage located underneath the building. We charge a flat $20 per car. The client may host parking or have guests self pay. If you wish to host parking for your guests, vouchers will be printed by Ace Parking the week of your event and your coordinator will disperse them at the event. Once the event is over, your coordinator will count how many passes were actually used and that amount will be deducted from your security deposit. If a car is parked overnight please know the voucher from the event the night prior is only valid until 6am the next morning. After 6am, guests will be charged per hour.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Warmer months: Seated dinner: up to 130 guests Reception style: up to 180 guests Cooler Months: Seated Dinner: 100 Reception Style: 160
The room rental includes up to 5 hours of event time plus set up (4 hours for a sit down event, 3 hours for all other) and breakdown (1 hour) for a total of 9-10 hour package. More event time can be purchased beyond the 5 hours at $600 per hour. All events must end by 12am. Additional set up or breakdown hours can be purchased for $250 per hour. Break Down: The vendors must arrive at the end of the event and 1 hour is given for break down.
The rooms thermostat is always set at 72 degrees. If the nano doors are open, the air conditioner or heater will adjust accordingly.
There is not a location in the building to get ready. Most clients will book a hotel room nearby to get ready at then come over right as the event is starting. If you need a room block for your guests please let us know. We have a hotel RFP form that you can fill out and our local rep will contact the hotels within blocks of our venue for a group rate. This is a free service to you.
The owners only accept checks, cashier’s checks, wire or ACH transfers for payments. If paying by check it must be made payable to: DWF V DIAMONDVIEW TOWER, LLC
All vendors must provide liability insurance to the venue 60 days prior to event start date. Please provide each vendor contract to Creative Affairs staff once they have been booked. Creative Affairs will contact each vendor to obtain their insurance for the building.
Candles are allowed just so they meet CA fire regulations. You MUST be able to set a piece of tissue over the top of the candle holder for 5 seconds without it catching fire. When the candle is lit the flame must be 1” below the glass rim of the candle holder.
Yes, as part of the room rental we order a $1 million dollar day of insurance policy in whomever’s name is on the contract. The policy protects you the client, your guests and the property, from any damage that could occur during or after your event. *Pricing is subject to change for events that are booked during the holidays.
Smoking is not allowed on the patio on the 15th floor. If your guests wish to smoke, they must go downstairs in front of the building, more than 20 feet from the building entrance. We do not allow smoking in any form which includes vape pens, cigars, pipes or cigarettes.
12:00am is the latest the event can go. Yes, you can have live music or a DJ.
Of course, you can come down to see a set up. You just have to make an appointment with us.
No! There is one flat room rental fee.
The deposit is due once the contract is signed and turned in. The amount will be broken down and then given to you, once the hours of your event are decided upon. The deposit is NON-refundable once turned in. The $1,000 security deposit is refundable, pending no damage is done to the venue.
Yes, you can bring in ALL of your own beverages. The only requirement is that you hire a bartender through one of the caterers or bar catering companies on the preferred list, due to licensing requirements.There are NO corkage fees. *PLEASE NOTE: WE DO NOT ALLOW SHOTS OR KEGS.
Yes, our company Creative Affairs has been working in the industry for 19 years and has built relationships with multiple vendor type. Once signing the contract, we will refer vendors within your budget.
Yes, you can use any other type of vendor that is not on the buildings list except for the catering, bar catering and rental companies. They must be a professional company that has a business license and business insurance. Regarding a florist please know that you must hire a professional florist to set up and break down all floral items that are brought into the space. All florists must show up at the end of the event to break down and remove all floral and décor rentals from the property. If this is not done, and the on-site coordinator or cleaning company removes any floral or décor, $500 will be deducted from your damage deposit.
Yes, there are 15 highly recommended caterers on our preferred list. They all have a $1 million insurance policy on file with DiamondView Tower and have been trained to work in the building.
The Skybox staff comes in for set-up prior to the event, to make sure the room is in perfect condition. Included in the room rental fee is a cleaning crew.
No fog machines, cold sparklers or laser shows are allowed in the space. They will set off the fire alarm and if the fire department comes they will charge a fine which the client and vendor will be responsible for.
