“The Mansion at West Sayville is a gorgeous venue inside and out, and we’re so happy we chose it for our wedding. We loved the vibe from our first visit. It doesn't feel like a wedding factory, but being a Lessing's Venue you know they know what they are doing. Bob was down to earth, practical, and never tried to upsell us or pressure us into adding anything we didn’t need. Anytime I emailed Bob with a question, he responded within minutes and was always very on top of things. On the day of, everything about the wedding itself went so smoothly. Ann Marie the maitre d and Camille the bridal attendant were sweet, attentive, and so good at what they do. They set up our decor so beautifully and packed it away in an organized way at the end of the wedding. Ann Marie kept everything running smoothly, and Camille made sure we always had whatever we wanted, from food and bar drinks to our own pitcher of water when she noticed we were “the most hydrated couple she’d ever worked with” (lol). The bartender and all of our waitstaff were so attentive and wonderful too. The food was delicious and we got so many compliments about it, and about our venue in general. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable and The Mansion at West Sayville played a huge role in that!”

“Wright’s Mill Farm has weddings down! Between they’re prompt response for any questions we might have had, the upfront pricing, the guidebook, we were left feeling like we could tackle this wedding with no issues! But the real reason for that is the people! Bri is amazing, there isn’t anyone else I could imagine to trust to run the show like she did! Curt always had an answer for any question we came up with, Krissy was amazing, she paid special attention to my elderly grandparents, and they have been raving about her since the wedding! Mark was who we planned the music with, and the meetings we had with him were clear and concise and amazing to nail that all down, but when it came to the night of, we couldn’t have asked for a better DJ, Patrick was fantastic! The best! He knew how to get the crowd out on the floor and keep them there! It was a prefect night, the husband and I can’t thank Wright’s Mill enough for all their attention to detail, passion for the industry, being so kind and being an integral part of a wedding that went so smoothly, and will be remembered for a lifetime!”

“Saint Clements Castle provided a beautiful venue and kind staff for our wedding day. We especially appreciated our sales coordinator, Alyssa, who was professional, fast, and clear in her communication throughout the planning process. When rain forced us to move the ceremony indoors, the team quickly adapted the art gallery for us. The servers and bridal attendants were also attentive and went above and beyond to help finish set up when our florist left early. Our guests had incredibly kind things to say about the servers, and overall we had a great experience. It was also lovely to have a place that was a one stop shop for event planning! We did lose some decor in the shuffle which was an inconvenience, and some of the instructions for set up I left were not followed (our confetti got lost, only four guests got packets, the bridal suites did not have the supplies we left for them). My husband’s family were also really upset with one of the managers on property who wouldn’t allow them to walk in a covered area and was a bit rude about it, despite an event not happening and the rain being a torrential downpour causing unsafe conditions for his elderly family to walk in. Overall we had a great experience, and would recommend the castle to anyone planning a wedding!”

Great quality of work for a the value ; the venue is open, clean, bright, and airy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a wedding or big event . “Evergreen Farms was an amazing place to host our wedding weekend. Not only is the venue rustic, up and coming, and classic, the owners Jess and Mike are there for you from ever before you book with them, throughout the whole planning process, and during your wedding day. For us, their help on our wedding day went above and beyond. Our wedding day was filled with severe thunderstorm warnings and during our reception as it was down pouring, Jess and Mike were outside preventing flooding with shopvacs and sandbags so our caterers could enter and leave safely. All of this happened behind the scenes. What drew us for the venue from the beginning was the ability to have the venue for the whole weekend - afternoon on Friday through early Sunday morning. We were able to host our rehearsal dinner, set up early on Friday and then breakdown our items on Sunday morning which eased up our stress quite a bit. Our guests were in awe of the beauty of the venue. My husband and I couldn’t recommend Evergreen Farms more for your special day.”

Some ideas need time and space to materialize. Transforming an old rodeo horse farm into a creative compound for events and projects has proven to be a challenging example. Over time, thoughtful outbuildings and spaces are popping up throughout a fourteen-acre campus of oak forests and wild meadows. One hundred feet of wiggly barn welcomes experiences from intimate projects to large wedding celebrations with loved ones. Now, it’s a steady push towards sustainable, creative projects working in sync with the natural surroundings. Get out in the woods, get a little weird. Try to have a good time. “When we were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted a place where we could create a day that was totally ours. Okay Island exceeded every expectation we had. Our biggest priority was that everyone had something fun to do. We knew not everyone on our guest list was a big dancer, and Adam helped us plan a fire pit to sit around with cornhole boards; he even let us bring in a ping pong table for guests to play at. Probably one of the most special parts of booking with Okay Island was that Adam spoke of so many plans he had to continue to have the space grow and evolve. It felt really special to be able to get married in a space that was just a snapshot of the venue’s story, knowing that we were part of the ride. Our guests had such a great time. So many of them suggested we host a party at Okay Island every year! We're big fans of that idea”

“We had our wedding on 6/22/2024 at Angel & Anchor Farm with 125 guests. It was absolutely the best day ever thanks to the venue owners, Bill and Nicole. The venue is absolutely stunning. There are so many spots on the farm for your ceremony, for photos, etc. The farm was in full bloom in June as well. They truly did everything possible to make our wedding day so special. We didn't have to worry about a single thing, they were on it. “Our wedding at The Riverview was truly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives, and we honestly cannot stop reliving how perfect everything felt. From the moment we started planning to the very last song of the night, every detail was handled with so much care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Kayla, our coordinator, was nothing short of amazing. She made the entire process feel easy and enjoyable, always one step ahead. Her calm, confident presence made such a difference, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. Brittany, the assistant coordinator, was equally wonderful and so attentive, kind, and supportive every step of the way. On our wedding day, not only did we have Kayla and Brittany, but we also had Cam and Tara, two more bridal attendants that were absolute lifesavers. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure we could truly be present and soak in every moment. I honestly don't think I turned around once without them handing me food or drink! The service was outstanding across the board. The waitstaff was incredibly professional, fast, and attentive, making all of our guests feel so well taken care of. And the food, wow! It was beyond delicious. We are still hearing from guests about how amazing every course was. It truly exceeded all expectations. Nicole and Will at the bar were fantastic, friendly, efficient, and so fun. They kept the drinks flowing and the energy high all night long, and our guests absolutely loved them. We have had so many people reach out to us since the wedding saying it was one of the best they have ever been to from the food, the service, the atmosphere, everything. That says it all. The Riverview and their entire team made our day feel effortless, beautiful, and unforgettable in every possible way. “We recently had our wedding at Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, and overall, it was a beautiful and memorable day. The setting is absolutely stunning, with a gorgeous waterfront backdrop that sets the tone for a romantic, coastal celebration. The Venue: The venue itself is the real star. The ceremony space overlooking the water is breathtaking, and our guests were wowed. The Royal Ballroom was elegant and clean, though it felt a bit tight for our 200-person guest count and had a small dance floor. The staff did a great job setting up. One of the biggest positives was their effort to keep our ceremony outside despite some tricky weather. Plan B changed multiple times throughout the day, but they were flexible and made a call two hours before—allowing us to have a lovely outdoor ceremony on the patio. The Coordination Team: This is where things fell short. The onsite wedding coordinators did their jobs but offered little more. They operate within a narrow set of rules, and most non-standard requests were met with a “no.” If you want anything custom, you’ll need to go to the head of sales. We strongly recommend hiring an independent wedding planner. The coordinators are not substitutes for a full-service planner and do not assist with day-of timelines. Don’t expect personalized guidance—you’ll need to advocate for yourself throughout. Tasting & Food: The tasting experience was one of the low points. The food was poorly executed, and it left us anxious. That said, the kitchen completely redeemed itself on the big day. The wedding food was delicious, well-presented, and received many compliments from our guests. We’re grateful they delivered when it mattered most. Pricing & Contracts: Expect extra charges for nearly everything. Review your contract closely—Water’s Edge adheres strictly to what’s written, even when verbal communication during planning differs. This added stress and confusion. Their team is extremely contract-focused, so nothing should be assumed unless it’s clearly in writing. Hotel & Room Block: The hotel is beautiful but expensive. Managing the room block was more difficult than anticipated, and we were quoted one rate, but our final contract reflected another. This required a lot of back-and-forth to sort out and added unnecessary friction to the planning process. Final Thoughts: Despite the challenges, we had a truly wonderful wedding day. The venue was stunning, our guests had an amazing time, and everything ran smoothly thanks to their structured operation. Water’s Edge is definitely a “wedding factory”—they’re efficient, but not especially flexible or tailored. If you go in with clear expectations, a strong outside planner, and a willingness to advocate for what you want, you can absolutely have the wedding of your dreams here. We’re grateful for the memories and happy with how everything turned out in the end.”

“We had our wedding at the Boat Shed last weekend, and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with Constellation Catering. They went above and beyond and completely exceeded our expectations. Mary, Chantelle, Amy, and Angela were absolute superstars. They took care of everything for us and were always one step ahead. They were patient, incredibly helpful, kind, and genuinely caring throughout the entire process. On the wedding day, we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves knowing they had everything handled. They completely transformed the Boat Shed for our reception, and it looked absolutely beautiful. We chose the salmon and short rib for our entrées, and everything was delicious and came out hot. The entire staff was organized and efficient, and dinner service ran so smoothly. There was no sitting around waiting forever between courses—they kept everything moving while still making the evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. From setup and service to cleanup at the end of the night, everything was handled quickly and seamlessly. We felt incredibly well taken care of from start to finish. If you have the opportunity to book the Boat Shed for your wedding, do not hesitate. “I cannot say enough amazing things about the Mystic Yachting Club. It is truly a hidden gem within the beauty that is Mystic, CT. This all-inclusive venue has everything you need to build your perfect day. First of all, the structure is beyond stunning. The wood work and coloring is perfection for a New England coastal wedding. Beyond that, it sits right on the river with gorgeous boats right off the back deck. Beyond it’s beauty, the staff are a dedicated team of professionals who are truly there to make your day exactly what you want it to be. Working with Aimee was honestly one of the best parts of the planning process. Her knowledge and professionalism made me incredibly confident in our day from beginning to end. She was always there to answer a question or talk me off the ledge. When it looked like the Nor’Easter was going to rip through CT, she and Mary (also amazing) calmly provided my husband and myself with our options. Mary, our day of coordinator was also wonderful! She was organized, on time, and knew exactly how to keep the ship moving! The entire staff at the yacht club were wonderful people who were excited to celebrate with us. Their kindness went a long way with us. Thank you, Mystic Yacht Club for making our crazy day perfect.”

“Can't recommend the Haley Mansion enough!!! Besides being absolutely stunning (there are 10,000 amazing places for you and your guests to take pictures), the staff was phenomenal. Joe, Sue, Zac, and Kendra (and others!!) took amazing care of us. I feel like I literally had no thoughts and no stress the day of my wedding because they handled so much. They are so kind, easy-going (but on top of stuff), attentive, and think of everything. The process of booking, planning, etc. was so fun and easy. They are very flexible with the space and let you make everything your own while providing really helpful guidance. It's soooo nice that your guests can stay on site at the Inn and you can have an after party at the Rocks 21 restaurant. Nobody likes a shuttle/uber!! Multiple people told me it was the best organized wedding/after party they've been to. The food is good!! We got a lot of compliments on the food (recommend the lobster bisque!), which I feel is uncommon at a large wedding venue.”
