About this venue

The Hinterland is a barn located in Avon CT. We have decided to take a leap of faith and restore the barn to become a beautiful, budget-friendly rustic wedding venue. Owner, Kristyn LeBarron, has been in the Bridal Industry for over 8 years as a stylist, manager, and bridal coordinator for an award-winning company. She sees the need in the industry for a wedding venue and event space that allows brides to enjoy their big day, even under all the regulations. The Hinterland is a place you can come to and have options. Partner, Patryce Cintron (bus. partner) sees the opportunity to make more room for brides and so with two great minds we bring to you The Hinterland.

We like to keep our focus on smaller more intimate weddings. The Hinterland lays on 5 acres of land owned by the Miller’s Farm. On This land, The Hinterland is operated and owned by Kristyn Lebaron and Patryce Cintron. We wanted to bring rustic and modern to life.

Description

Please be aware that a cleaning fee of $200 applies to all packages! Our prices start at $1,000 for 15 guests and 3 hours, and up to 75 guests for 5 hours for $3,700. For 80-100 guests, we can set up a tent for an additional fee of $1200. If you are looking to go over 100 guests, we would love to chat! Inquire about add-ons, other events and 2025 pricing.

    Bride

    When we first toured The Hinterland, we knew it was the perfect venue for our fun, whimsical, pizza truck wedding! It truly is beautiful inside, and the perfect space for an intimate size wedding. Kristyn was great about going over all my questions and was quick to add suggestions when needed! I hired their day of coordinator (highly recommend!) and we could have not loved Deanna more! She was so sweet, handled all our vendors for us, did an amazing job with set-up and was just the best! All of the staff there from Ashley on the bar to Caleb, were so great to work with and made our day so special! The Hinterland is a real gem! It’s truly a unique and beautiful venue, and we are so grateful to everyone there for such a memorable and amazing day

    Definitely recommend

    The Hinterland was the perfect rustic and cozy farmhouse venue for our wedding. From the moment we reached out, the staff was polite and helpful, though their communication was a bit delayed at times. On the day of, the bar staff was beyond efficient and went above and beyond to ensure our guests were taken care of. They also helped us beautifully set up our dessert table, which was a huge help. The space itself is truly stunning, with a warm and inviting farmhouse feel that made our special day even more magical. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and would highly recommend The Hinterland to any couple looking for a beautiful, intimate, and memorable wedding celebration.
