Named after a 1932 jazz standard, Street of Dreams Jazz Band from New York City is a vintage jazz and swing group with a lush, romantic sound. Will is an accomplished musician and conductor. He has performed on numerous cast recordings of broadway musicals including My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the Roof, and the 2014 Tony Awards. He conducted the national tour of Miss Saigon, the 2015 Fiddler on the Roof revial, and the revial of my Fair Lady at Lincoln Theater. He maintains a vibrant teaching practice at the Elisabeth Morrow School, the Wilton Music Studios, and School for Strings. He brings his leadership skills and his well developed patience as an teacher to private event performances.

There is nothing quite like the elegance of strings. We recommend string groups for Wedding Ceremonies, Elegant Dinners, and Cocktail Hours. Whether it is the standard grouping of Violin, Violin, Viola and Cello or a hybrid ensemble with harp or guitar, our players are well versed in both classical and contemporary repertoire. We also have Electric String Quartets. Some clients opt to have the group play acoustic for the ceremony and switch to electric instruments for cocktail hour.

Our Hoppin’ John Steel Band performs Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Carnival, Belafonte, “Beach Music” and standard American selections as well. Instrumentalists in this group include steel drums (or “pans”) of various sizes, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keyboard, horns, vocalists, limbo dancers and other specialists added for special occasions.

The Celtic Balladeers perform all styles of Irish and Celtic music. In the above sound clip they are captured live (VERY live) on St. Patty’s day at Coogan’s on Broadway. The sound clip features our guitar and tenor banjo duo while the complete band includes several other instrumentalists such as guitar, Irish tenor banjo, accordion, fiddle, bass, drums, bodhran, whistle, pipes, flute, mandolin, keyboard, horns, vocalists and dancers. Besides the standard, and county specific Irish material they can also perform a whole catalog of American dance music.

String 18 is a perfect trio for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and dinners. Their repertoire includes Classic Rock, Contemporary Pop, Latin, Jazz, and Classical. With three acoustic guitars they create vibrant musical arrangements that range from the elegance of a String Quartet to the fire of the Gipsy Kings. There is almost no piece of music that they cannot perform, so this is a great ensemble for special requests.

Margot Varret is a uniquely gifted performer with both her voice and harp. As a native born French speaker she is expert in the repertoire of Chanson made famous by iconic artists like Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour. She is also a fabulous classic jazz singer who renders the classics of the great American songbook with a signature French flair. She regularly sells out Birdland Theater leading her own group.

In the heart of Greenwich Village sits the Cafe Wha?, a historic music venue that has hosted the likes of Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, and many more. Today, the Cafe Wha? House Band wows audiences six nights a week, playing all styles of popular music, from classic oldies, to funk and R&B, and even contemporary pop and rock hits. THROUGH THE LINDY HIS LOVE OF EARLY JAZZ GREW, BUT HE LAMENTED THAT THERE WERE SO FEW MUSICAL GROUPS THAT SPECIALIZED AUTHENTIC PERFORMANCE OF HIS FAVORITE KIND OF MUSIC.

This 11-piece band is a bi-lingual and multi-cultural collaboration led by the sensational Erica Ramos – their sound owes much to the classic 60’s and 70’s Boogaloo and Latin Soul of NY’s Barrio, with added original compositions and millennial funk.

JAMES KEENE IS A VERSATILE SOLOIST, CHAMBER MUSICIAN, AND MUSIC PEDAGOGUE. STARTING IN HIGH SCHOOL, HE HAS PLAYED SOLO, CHAMBER, AND ORCHESTRAL PERFORMANCES FOR AUDIENCES THROUGHOUT CHINA, ITALY, SPAIN, AUSTRIA, THE CZECH REPUBLIC, HUNGARY, POLAND, AND THE USA. JAMES APPEARS REGULARLY WITH NEW HAVEN SYMPHONY IN CONNECTICUT, THE PHILLY POPS, AND IS KNOWN IN THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA AS A PERFORMER AND TEACHER.

GENEVIEVE S. HOLDS A MASTERS IN MUSIC FROM RICE UNIVERSITY, AND A BACHELOR’S IN MUSIC FROM THE CLEVELAND INSTITUTE OF MUSIC. SHE HAS PERFORMED WITH THE DETROIT, HOUSTON AND MILWAUKEE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS. SHE PERFORMS IN CONCERT AND AT PRIVATE EVENTS WITH NOAH, CLASSICAL PIANIST AND CELLIST.

Praised for her “powerful command and nuanced facility”, Violetta Maria Norrie is a harpist, performance artist, and improviser of diverse range and ability. She began playing the harp at the age of 6, after falling in love with the instrument at a Renaissance Faire. Since then she has performed orchestral, solo, and chamber music at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Recital Hall, Symphony Space, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Violetta has been featured on The Today Show on NBC, MTV's Silent Library, and the Harmony ad campaign for Emirates Airlines.

For the past 17 years, Lenny has been performing music from these CD's regularly at various events, shows, festivals, fairs and even shopping centers. Lenny also does some other freelance projects such as directing musical theater, performing for special events on his own and together with his ensembles.

Chika and the Starry Night is a band fronted by Chika and her husband Tatsuya Sakurai, who hail from Japan and now live their dream of playing jazz in New York City.
