“Where do I even begin….I can’t recommend using Purple Mango enough. To provide some context, my wife and I weren’t going to get a videographer because most of them are extremely expensive. On top of that, my wife and I have heard many mixed reviews from our friends that have used them. However, we heard about Purple Mango through some friends and decided to speak with the owner, Sammy. We found out Sammy had worked many weddings even though his company was new. He offered an incredibly reasonable price for capturing our special day. While my wife and I were hesitant to get a videographer, our hesitancy was put to rest on the day of our event. So, enough backstory, onto the pros and cons: Pros: Incredibly professional – we hired a separate photographer due to COVID circumstances ruining our original plans, Sammy worked effortlessly with our photographer, whom he had never met, to capture our day while not impeding on any pictures that were being taken. He was so professional with all of our other vendors, working seamlessly with them so that we didn’t have to take any time out of our day to accommodate vendor problems. Easy to work with – we didn’t really have anything planned or in mind for what we wanted. Sammy would direct us when he wanted to capture something (which later turned out amazing), which I personally appreciated because I am absolutely not photogenic at all. We were so burnt out with all our other decision-making for the event that it was so helpful to have someone we trusted to tell us what we needed to do to create an amazing end product. Experienced – It was clear Sammy knew what he was doing. We had noticed some videographers at past events can be overbearing and block guests’ views trying to capture the events as they unfold, but that was not the case with Purple Mango. On top of that, my wife and I have different cultures (she is Indian and I am white) and Sammy was able to handle the different events with ease. Amazing work – I never thought I’d want to see so much of myself in high definition, but I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of video is unbelievable. You’re definitely getting an amazing product. Not only do you get all of the footage, but Sammy also puts together a great, short (3 minute) highlight video that you can use to share with friends and family. It is pretty remarkable. Sammy and his team worked efficiently and put so much thought into making the videos memorable for us – from the music choice, to the coloring and small details that we never would have noticed. We immediately sent our highlight video out to all of our close friends and family and received countless messages in awe of how perfectly it captured the emotions and sentiment of the day for us. As people who never quite understood the incredibly powerful meaning that can come from a wedding video, Purple Mango changed our minds for the better in a way we never thought possible. Cons: We didn’t hire him for our other event. Seriously, there were no cons. I just regretted not hiring him for our other event since we had two separate events.”
