About GlowDay

GlowDay

Analog Film Videographer

We specialize in creating one-of-a-kind multimedia wedding films on both analog and digital formats, blending vintage charm with modern artistry. Whether it’s the soft, nostalgic feel of 16mm film or the crisp clarity of digital, my goal is to serve couples who value creativity and authenticity, turning their wedding memories into a cinematic treasure. Timeless, unique, and unmistakably yours. Let’s celebrate your love story, your way.

GlowDay shoots on real 8mm and 16mm film, alongside 6K digital. That's not a filter, it's actual grain and light captured the old way, which is why the look holds up for decades instead of just this year. We don't stage moments or direct your day. We show up and let it unfold, so what comes back is the real thing: the laugh you didn't know we caught, the look across the room nobody choreographed. Consistent quality, made just for you.

    The Best Decision We Made!

Initially, when my husband and I were planning our wedding, we went back and forth on whether a videographer would really be worth it. We had already booked a photographer we loved, and I couldn't imagine what video would capture that photos couldn't. I was so wrong!!!!! Not only am I incredibly grateful that we decided to hire a videographer, I'm especially grateful that we chose GLOWDAY! Phil took the time to understand our story and what was most important to us. He listened to our vision while also making thoughtful suggestions that elevated the final film in ways we never would have considered. I now realize that video, especially film, captures emotion in a way that still photos simply can't. As much as I absolutely love our wedding photos, I find myself replaying our film over and over again. I know that years from now, when we're old and gray, that's what we’ll return to most often. One of my favorite parts was getting to experience moments I wasn't there to witness on such a busy day, my husband getting ready before the ceremony, our guests' reactions before I walked down the aisle, and all of the little in-between moments that would have otherwise been missed. Honestly, if I had to do it all over again, I would prioritize having a videographer over a photographer. I never thought I would say that, but our wedding film has become one of the most meaningful keepsakes from our day. We just got our videos back, and I am completely blown away by the editing. The videos feel effortlessly timeless and nostalgic without leaning into trends that will feel dated in a few years. They perfectly capture the emotion and atmosphere of our wedding while still feeling authentically us. GLOWDAY is, without a doubt, the way to go.

Absolutely in love with our wedding video

We decided at the last minute that we wanted to hire a videographer for our wedding, and we knew we really wanted the vintage Super 8 film look. We were so happy that Phil was available and became part of our big day. He completely understood our vision and was truly a "fly on the wall" throughout the day, capturing beautiful, authentic moments without ever feeling intrusive. He also worked seamlessly with our other vendors, which made everything feel effortless. Most importantly, the 30-second highlight film and the 5-minute video perfectly captured the emotions of the day. We've watched them countless times, and every time they take us right back to one of the best days of our lives. If you're looking for someone who can create something truly special on film, I can't recommend Phil enough.

Absolutely. Reach out anytime to ask about our special pricing for elopements! Please note your elopement must have fewer than 10 total guests.
Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.
Definitely! While we’re based in San Diego, California, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is over 100 miles outside the San Diego metropolitan area, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
We absolutely want the film to feel like you. We always ask about the tone, music preferences, and anything that matters to your story. Then we take it from there and edit with intention.
Both are real motion picture film formats that bring texture, nostalgia, and warmth to your wedding film, but they each have their own character. Super 8mm has a grainier, more home-movie feel — it’s dreamy, imperfect, and full of charm. Think vintage family footage or 70s/80s travel reels. 16mm is larger format and offers a more elevated look. It’s sharper, more detailed, and often used in indie films or fashion campaigns.
Couples typically book 6–12 months out, but we take on last-minute weddings when possible too. Once you have a date and venue, it’s a great time to reach out!
Our style is mostly documentary. We let the day unfold naturally. But I’ll guide you gently if needed, so you feel confident and comfortable. No awkward posing here!
Absolutely! We’ve worked with dozens of photographers and always make collaboration a priority. Our goal is to capture moments without stepping on any toes (or lenses).
