Our process began about a year ago when a friend of ours recommended Stephen. We had an initial meeting with him and was immediately sold. He had a very organized approach to what services he could provide and explained it all in a very simple and consumable way. He also exuded care and attention at every step, wanting to get to know us, our story, our expectations, and then remembered all of them for the entire duration of our time together.
We had an engagement shoot with him soon after. We fell in love with his aesthetic. Working with him is so easy. He gives great pose suggestions, directs well, and makes the session a very collaborative feeling experience. His eye and composition is also just top notch.
Between the engagement shoot and the wedding, Stephen did a great job of keeping regular touchpoints. Before the wedding we organized family portraits for the day of and he was able to mock up a thorough and detailed schedule that gave us confidence that he’d keep the day running smoothly.
During the day, he was so calm and helpful. He helped keep all of the portrait sessions moving smoothly and then also came up with a bunch of creative ideas for photos throughout the night. By halfway through the night, he had set up iPads with photo slideshows of some shots from the earlier session for our guests to see and by the time we left at night we received a personalized photo album with prints of some of his favorite shots already - you heard right, PRINTS by the end of the night!
