Matthew and Holly were absolutely wonderful to work with—so professional, quick to respond, and genuinely kind. We live out of town and they were always there to address any questions or concerns, making our planning process a breeze. The venue itself is stunning, with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony site, a beautiful tent for dinner, and a barn for the reception—truly everything in one place! The Ranch House was perfect for my entire bridal party to stay onsite, and it was spacious enough for all of us to get ready together. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue’s intimate feel and its close proximity to the charming Arroyo Grande Village. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or better people to work with, and we highly recommend Tar Creek Ranch for an unforgettable wedding day!

After some thoughtful research, what sold us on his work was his effortless ability to capture the perfect moments of a wedding day—especially his night photography and dance floor shots. He is incredibly professional, and we felt very comfortable with him from the start. He made us laugh, which was so helpful in easing those stressful moments. We were very impressed with his timeline and how smoothly he kept everything moving. He was prompt, had great ideas for photo locations to get the best results, and was also open to our input—making sure our ideas came to life. Andy was flexible with his packages to fit our budget; we had originally planned for five hours of coverage but decided to upgrade to the full eight hours because photography is so important to us. His communication throughout the entire process was amazing. He provided a helpful welcome guide to navigate the wedding process and a detailed questionnaire to plan out who would be photographed during cocktail hour. Again, his communication was flawless! Here was our timeline for a 4:00 PM wedding with a first look: 2:00 – Photography begins / detail shots and getting ready 2:40 – First Look 3:00 – Bridal Party (together, separate, solos) 4:00 – Ceremony 4:30 – Family Photos / Cocktail Hour 5:45 – Grand Entrance with First Dance 6:00 – Dinner 6:30 – Shoe Game 6:45 – Speeches 7:00 – Sunset Photos 7:20 – Dances 7:25 – Open Dance Floor 9:50 – Bubble Exit 10:00 – Photography ends Helpful tip to those planning a wedding, we only wished we had also hired a videographer to capture the words said or designate someone to take videos with their phone.

Kari and her staff were extremely passionate about making our special day perfect, and they were very accommodating in helping us work through any issues that came up. They went above and beyond, from thoughtful surprises like the speakeasy-inspired touches, to always being available to talk through details, to quickly resolving a catering error that could have been a major headache. I can't even begin to express how much my husband and I appreciated Kari's leadership - she is truly the best wedding planner, and we feel so lucky to have had the chance to work with her and her team. We had a slight issue on the day of, but Kari took care of it immediately with no questions asked. If you have the chance to work with Events by K Ann, consider yourself incredibly fortunate! Channon and Kari were both amazing. We toured in 2023, and Channon was extremely welcoming and warm. We toured on a wedding day, which was perfect because we were able to envision what our special day would look like. We toured about 7 other venues in the area and quickly realized that Oak & Ivy at Home Sweet Home was where we wanted to have our special day. Kari went through the budget with us before we hired her on, and she was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the planning process. I can't recommend her enough for planning. She planned a Taylor Swift themed Speakeasy that was AMAZING, and would highly recommend doing one if it's in the budget. Kari also did our florals- we loved them! Kari and Channon were great at communicating when things were due so we were able to stay on track without stressing out. We loved having our wedding day there and wouldn't change it for the world!

Rose and her team were a wonderful asset to ensuring the enjoyment of our wedding! We hired Rose as a month of coordinator for our May 2024 wedding. Once we started working with her the month prior to the wedding a lot of my anxieties regarding how the day was going to go were taken away due to her depth of experience and professionalism. She really took the reins during those last weeks to follow up on final details with our vendors and getting closer to the date I had people asking me if I was stressed out and I can honestly say that I was not as I knew that we were in great hands. The time frame leading up to the wedding I felt my excitement build with each meeting that we had with Rose! The day of the wedding her team of professionals I feel went above and beyond to ensure that everything was to my wishes. They constantly checked in on me during the whole day from when I started getting my makeup done to the last dance, I felt incredibly happy and was truly able to enjoy my wedding day. They made sure everything ran smoothly, that I stayed hydrated, that I ate at cocktail hour and dinner, helped me change into my second dress of the evening and even helped to fix my hair. Booking Ballesteros photography for our wedding was hands down the BEST decision we made for our wedding! From starting by taking engagement photos, to the final delivery of our wedding photos and video, they brought nothing but pure magic. The photos are STUNNING. Every frame looked like it belonged in a bridal magazine. The colors, the light, the emotions etc, chefs kiss. They didn’t just take pictures, they told the story of our day and wonderfully navigated the wedding scheduling etc like pros. She understood our vision and the vibe we wanted for the day and TOTALLY delivered. She also did our flowers, and they were stunning. Monica ensured the wedding setup and day of schedule went off without a hitch. She worked so hard the day before and day of - especially on the tablescapes, which I had told her I cared a lot about.
