    The Super Hero Photographer

    If you’re looking for a photographer for your event in the SLO/Santa Barbara area, Sarah at Mirror’s Edge Photography is hands down the best choice in central California. I booked Sarah for my wedding and engagement shoot, and she literally SAVED my wedding! Two weeks before we said I do, the long-term coordinator at our venue left without any notice -leaving us to pick up the pieces. For context, my husband and I live all the way in Richmond, VA, so SLO was a destination wedding for us and our families -some of whom traveled as far as Berlin, Germany, to be with us on our special day. When everything seemed to go wrong, Sarah was there to help step in and put us back on track. We first met Sarah for an engagement shoot. Her communication was impeccable; she arrived early and had no problem handling the chaotic whirlwind my husband and I had become. Not only did she have an amazingly bright personality, but she was also so prepared and professional. Later, she helped us adjust our day-of schedule to ensure the best lighting for pictures and the smoothest flow for wait staff. She even met up with us for an extra beach shoot when the fog rolled in the day before. After our first hour together, I realized that Sarah really truly had my back, and for the first time in weeks I was actually able to exhale and enjoy myself. The pictures she took of my husband and me are without a doubt the best we’ve ever had. Unfortunately, my wedding day misfortune would continue when my only bridesmaid, who was also my maid of honor, missed her flight. Sarah picked me up off the floor, dusted me off, and got me back into the proper headspace. If I needed my veil adjusted, she was there -no one to hold my bouquet? No problem; she shot pictures with one hand. When I say this woman is a superstar, I really truly mean it. By the end of our time together, I genuinely felt like I’d gained not only a new friend, but also an older sister. Sarah’s talent as a photographer speaks for itself, but when you hire her, you get so much more than just a professional. Do yourself a favor and book with Mirror’s Edge!

    Wonderful Wedding Photos

    Sarah, was wonderful. She shot our wedding at Cass Winery. We had to navigate some rain and mud, but she was a total professional. She was super easy to work with and any time we needed to communicate it was quick and easy. My wife and I were bouncing around cooridnating family ect.. and she did not add any burden to our plate. It was nice to have a reliable vendor, who was also great to work with. Definitely recommend.

    Run to her!!!

    From the moment we started working with Sarah at Mirror's Edge Photography, we knew we had made the best decision for our wedding day. Her communication style is simply the best ever - she was so communicative and so willing to listen to all of our ideas and preferences. Sarah went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and confident, building us up like no one else. I cannot recommend Sarah enough, she is amazing at what she does and makes you feel wonderful no matter what you use her for. I started with a boudoir shoot, then engagement photos and wedding photos...so clearly it worked! I've also used Sarah for family photos and will never use anyone else as long as she's working. Typically, couples book me about 8 months before their wedding date, but if you're working on a tighter timeframe, I still encourage you to reach out! :)
Depending on what package you choose, I will bring a Second Photographer to help cover your day. Some of my packages include one, and it's also an "add-on" that I offer for any package depending on your needs - feel free to ask!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, sharpness and color grading to ensure they look beautiful and cohesive. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal, skin smoothing, teeth whitening, "clothing clean up", etc. standard on ALL Couple's Portraits and Posed Family Portraits...it's just that little extra mile that I go to make sure your photographs are the best they can possibly be!
My turnaround time varies by season, BUT you'll always get a sneak peek within a few days of your wedding! Typically, you’ll be able to view your full gallery online approximately 3 weeks after your wedding. Once you've had a chance to proof everything (and share your gallery with your friends and family, of course!), I will send you a keepsake box and USB drive will all of your edited images so you have full resolution copies of everything! Hello Prints, Albums and other fun stuff!
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them or your wedding planner!
This all depends on your package and how many hours that I'll be at your wedding. You can usually expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your specific wedding, number of guests, venue type, and all the other little things that make your day unique! Don't worry, I've never had a client complain they didn't get ENOUGH photographs - they usually comment on how many they got!
No, my expertise and experience is deeply rooted in photography, and incredible videography requires someone who focuses just on that, BUT I do have a long list of vendors who I work with and refer for things like videography, Wedding Makeup and Hair, Planning, etc., so I can definitely point you in the right direction for it!
In my 15 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking or been unable to photograph a wedding. In the very rare event that something catastrophic occurs, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted 2nd Photographer. If you're not happy with who I have available, I can also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement. Again, this has NEVER happened, and I don't expect it to :)
