From an early age I always enjoyed playing with a video camera. ​I was first offered to film a wedding for a friend back in 2016 and instantly clicked with it. What to capture and how to capture it fell into place neatly. All the years behind a lens helped me quickly find my creative edge.

We are Jim and Melissa Lakey, a husband and wife wedding filmmaker team. We love shooting weddings in the desert that we call our home — Joshua Tree and Palm Springs — but we’re also partial to weddings at the beach. And in the woods. And in the city.
