From our very first conversation until the evening of the party, she was unbelievably diligent, respectful of our needs and requests, very courteous, accommodating, and a joy to work with. We had all the details in the contract, but it wasn’t until we saw it , that we realized they went above and beyond to make this event very festive and unforgettable for everyone. In 2011 we purchased an old dairy farm in a quiet corner of Harrisville, New Hampshire. We cleared fields, planted orchards and gardens, built barns and a commercial kitchen, boiled maple syrup, raised pigs and sheep, and opened a farm store. Our goal was to create a thriving farm that would serve our family, the community, and visitors like you. Today, that dream is a reality. Mayfair Farm offers a complete special events package that is truly unique. With our inspiring views, welcoming barn, and farm-to-table menu, your family and friends will share a one-of-a-kind experience. Our menu is hand-crafted and ethically produced, and each item is made with the most important ingredient—love. And, as our client, you will enjoy the benefits of flexibility and collaboration as we guide you through each step of the event-planning process. If you can think it up, we would love to help you make it happen. We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Sarah Heffron and Craig Thompson

The Perfect Combination of Beauty, Comfort, and Efficiency We were married at Mayfair Farm on Labor Day weekend 2025. We had about 130 guests. We had many requirements regarding food, drink, comfort of guests, the ceremony, and meals. It’s hard to imagine a host with greater caring, talent, taste, and efficiency than Sarah, the owner. Everything was perfect, even beyond perfect, like a dream! Facility: Mayfair Farm is a beautiful venue. The custom-designed barn was perfect for dining, dancing, serving, and preparation. The firepit right outside the barn made for memorable gatherings, especially on a chilly evening, and with the fun of preparing S’more’s for the guests over the fire. The scenery is gorgeous, particularly the top-of-the-hill ceremony spot surrounded by New Hampshire hills and mountains. The gorgeous view and natural setting added much to the wedding experience. The short walk up the hill to the ceremony hilltop was easy, and elderly guests were driven up without any issue. The barn and farm have professional kitchens so that preparing and serving a meal for 130 people went off without any issues. There was plenty of parking for guests. There is an AirBnB on-site where we stayed and got ready. It was comfortable and great for the hair/make-up preparations before the ceremony. Sarah made her entire facility available to us for the entire weekend—this made things highly convenient and relaxing. For meals, they helped us arrange for a beautiful tent to be set up right outside the barn, so we could use the barn for dancing. The table set-up was gorgeous, which contributed to a memorable, emotionally touching event. Planning: Sarah is a total professional, with the taste and experience to make our event as perfect as we had hoped for. Interacting with Sarah was a pleasure. She is kind, creative, and deeply cares about our hopes for the day and making them come to fruition. She made terrific suggestions on logistics and food, and was creative and responsive in iterating until we finalized the menus. She specializes in farm-to-table food, with local farmers, and this made everything healthy and delicious. She assisted us with vendors (e.g., flowers, tent, wedding planner, bartender, toilets) who provided excellent services. Sarah has a staff of efficient, trusted people who know just what to do, while at the same time exuding warmth and friendship while working. Whatever tension might be present on a wedding day, these workers diffused it and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is huge and played a big role in the perfection of our wedding weekend. Day-of Excellence: All of the above contributed to a wedding weekend that seemed effortless for us and our guests, and of course we saw and understood the tremendous amount of teamwork, talent, and effort went on behind the scenes. We felt relaxed, as did our parents and guests. We all enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the meaningful, beautiful gathering, ceremony, and celebration. Bottom Line: Mayfair Farm and Sarah provide a specialized offering unlike any other, and at a reasonable price. If you want a wedding in a rural setting, with farm-to-table food prepared to perfection, and a flawless, relaxed ‘vibe’ to the day, look no further. The bonus is that we felt cared for, we saw our vision come to life under Sarah’s supervision, and we saw Sarah’s employees and vendors enthusiastically and efficiently make everything happen perfectly. Highest recommendation.

I cannot say enough positive things about the Rosewood Country Inn as a wedding venue. This venue is special in that you get the entire 11-room inn for the weekend (Fri-Sun), and so we were able to have our closest friends and family staying with us, which was a blast! The inn offers a beautiful country setting on the outside that is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We held ours at the gazebo in the courtyard, which was surrounded by beautiful trees and scenery that make for gorgeous pictures. The dining hall of the inn hosts the reception, and is perfect for an intimate and stylish dining experience that then morphs a dance floor! The food is excellent (Stan's stuffed french toast can't be missed), not only for the reception but the rehearsal dinner and breakfasts on Sat and Sun. We held our wedding at Retreat Farm and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, this venue exceeded our expectations in every way. Our weekend began with a field day celebration the day before the wedding. Farmhouse Square was perfect for this, and the staff went above and beyond to help us organize food stations and arrange picnic tables. The staff made themselves available for the entire day and were friendly to our guests which helped set the tone for the entire weekend. Working with Samantha, the venue coordinator, made the planning process so much easier. She was incredibly communicative and patiently answered about a million questions from us. We were one of their Retreat Farm’s first weddings, so there were a few minor administrative hiccups along the way, but I have complete confidence these will be smoothed out for future couples. Samantha’s responsiveness and helpfulness were invaluable. On our wedding day, rain was in the forecast which was very stressful for us leading up to the ceremony which was slated to be held outdoors. We prepared to hold the ceremony inside the barn, which would have been beautiful in its own right, but then, the rain ended up clearing at the last second. Thankfully, the incredible staff had already set up the chairs and arch and managed to move everything back outside within half an hour (literally wiping down every single chair as fast as they could). We ended up with the most breathtaking outdoor ceremony as the clouds parted and the sun literally shone down on us. It was pure magic, and the staff's quick work made it possible. Additionally, the venue's beautiful outdoor spaces provided awesome backdrops for photos so we’re glad we were able to take advantage of them. One of the most unique and memorable aspects of Retreat Farm is the farm animals. We surprised our guests with a surprise donkey ring bearer (that the barn manager, Felipe, took the time to practice walking the aisle with), and during cocktail hour, the open barn allowed guests to interact closely with all the animals. This was hands-down one of the highlights that our guests are still talking about—the pictures that we saw everyone take were priceless. Every single person who works at Retreat Farm was exceptionally kind and professional. From the bartenders who handled the bar service beautifully (and even accommodated our requests for specific drinks on the menu) to the staff directing guests and everyone in between—the team made us feel so well taken care of. It's worth noting that this is more of a DIY venue where you bring your own decorations and coordinate most vendors. We loved this because it allowed us to truly make the wedding our own and put our personal stamp on every detail but recognize that this may not be for everyone. We highly recommend Retreat Farm for couples looking for a unique, beautiful, and flexible venue with character, charm, and the most wonderful staff (and also animals!)

Working with Kristen was an absolute pleasure. From the moment we reached out, it was clear she was excited to work with us. Kristen truly went above and beyond, helping us bring our vision to life from start to finish. No detail was missed, and the end result was a the complete package that exceeded our expectations. We also really appreciated the history and character of the barn, we barely had to decorate as the space was filled with memorabilia and fun details. It’s really the coolest spot. As we come up on our first anniversary, we’re wishing we could go back and relive it all!

The Blue Bear Inn was the perfect wedding venue for us! We knew we wanted a venue that allowed dogs, was close to an airport (1 hr) for family traveling, had excellent food, offered beautiful scenery, could house our out-of-town guests, was mostly a one stop shop (with lodging, wedding venue, ceremony site options, day-of-coordination, catering, & cake/desserts), and provided historical romance vibes without being a barn — and the Blue Bear checked every box and then some! Carrie, Bob, and the team gave us such a special wedding weekend in May - they didn't plan the most perfect rainbow, but I know they would’ve if they could!

My husband and I got married at Lake Shore Village Resort in May 2025, and it was the wedding weekend of our dreams. If you want a venue where everyone can stay together, relax, and celebrate in one beautiful lakeside location, LSVR is it. We wanted a camp-style but elevated experience, and LSVR delivered beyond expectations. Marissa, our coordinator, was amazing: organized, calm, and on top of every detail. Even when rain forced us to move our ceremony into the tent (along with all the other May/June Saturday brides in New England), she and the team handled it flawlessly and the ceremony and reception ended up feeling incredibly intimate and special. We had 130 guests on-site for three days of pickleball tournaments, a pizza welcome party, kayaking, volleyball, and an after-party bonfire (thanks to Leif, who kept the fire going all night). The farewell pancake breakfast hosted by Michael and his wife was the perfect ending to the weekend. We cannot recommend this venue or team enough. Our guests are still talking about it and so are we. Thank you Marissa and LSVR!! We can't wait to come back one day!

First Zola review! The short and sweet review of this venue is that it was perfect. If it’s details you’re looking for, then we have those for you too. Prior to getting engaged, we had discussed what our ideal wedding day would look like and had both agreed that a mountain-top ceremony was what we both envisioned. For the moment we turned into the Pat’s Peak parking lot and saw the beautifully maintained grounds, rustic ski-village inspired buildings, and cozy lodge we had a feeling we had found our wedding venue. The wedding team at Pat’s Peak was incredible to work with, helping us through every single step and answering every question we threw their way. A huge standout to us as a couple was how accommodating they were of our requests and the level of personal touches we were permitted to do which made our day extra special. While it is of course important to hear what the bride and groom thought of the venue, an aspect we’d like to add to this review is what our guests thought. It’s been two weeks exactly since our wedding at Pat’s Peak and we’re still receiving non-stop compliments from our guests on the venue we chose. We opted for the summit ceremony and we will remember that chairlift ride and view from the top as we got married for the rest of our lives. The weather was perfect for us (which we know is not always the case) but a BIG reason we picked Pat’s Peak is because we liked the weather back up options that were provided to us. Our guests RAVED about the chairlift ride to the top for the ceremony and the scenic ride down for the reception. Special call out here for the lift operators who went above and beyond to be friendly and genuinely excited for our big day. As the bride and groom, we loved the ability to set up lawn games like giant Jenga and cornhole on the deck that provided the perfect environment for guests to enjoy a cocktail, mingle, and connect during cocktail hour and the reception. We opted for a buffet style meal, which provided more than enough food for our guest count of around 100. Everything from the apps, buffet dinner, s’mores bar and ice cream sundae bar was absolutely delicious. To wrap this review up, we’d like to call out Pat’s Peak staff including Brigid and Mary Beth. These two (including our bartenders, and the rest of the amazing staff) worked tirelessly in perfect coordination with our vendors to make sure our day was completely perfect and ran smoothly. We cannot thank them enough for all their help and hard work. Prior to our wedding, we had no connection or tie to Pat’s Peak but now, it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. If you’re considering Pat’s Peak and looking for a quaint, rustic, and inexplicably cozy wedding venue, we’ve found it.

We had our wedding at the Inn at Pleasant Lake in Sept 2024. The day couldn’t have been more perfect and it was mostly thanks to the fabulous and attentive staff at the inn. The location is beautiful and serene, grounds were immaculate and they remembered every detail that we asked for. Kate was one of the biggest reasons we chose to have our wedding there. She is thoughtful, never pushy or rushed, detail oriented and responsive. Our guests raved about the food at each event (rehearsal, wedding and brunch) and having access to the full Inn and grounds made for a relaxing weekend getaway for our families and us. I only wish we could do it all over again!

My husband and I loved our experience at Hidden Hills. First and foremost, they were extremely accommodating with my allergy and the allergy of our guests, my mom’s wheelchair, and allowing us to have a dog at the venue as our ring bearer. Second, the venue was beautiful. The food delicious. And service incredible. The price was exactly what we were looking for: AFFORDABLE. But the best part was Haley. She made wedding planning with the venue easy, uncomplicated, and was very open to our ideas and what we wanted for our big day.

I cannot say enough good things about the team and the venue of Okemo. My husband and I were married here over the last weekend and it was beyond our highest expectations. We had a fully weekend of parties - Friday welcome party, Saturday summit ceremony with round barn reception, and a breakfast on Sunday morning. The accommodations blew everyone away, the service was seamless, and the grounds were gorgeous. They managed to provide top-tier service and polish while also staying very true to the ski mountain feel, which was perfect for us. There is a beautiful rain plan also, under the stone arch, which is totally unique - so if it is rainy, it's still an epic location. You can tell they regularly invest in this place and keep it nice. There are so many high quality amenities onsite, from the many pools to the gym, the pickleball courts, and of course all the unique activities in the adventure zone, people absolutely loved it. The team though is very impressive. Every step of the way, they were thinking of everything and worked to answer all of our (many) questions and considerations in detail, and they considered everything. the logistics were impeccable, which is a feat for a summit ceremony getting 120 people up and down a chairlift. The food was incredible, and was served quickly to all tables. The round barn had been freshly painted and was lovely. a special thank you to Maggie and Chef Mark, who not only delivered the results but supported and coordinated with us throughout the process, making me and my family feel very confident in the team throughout the stressful planning process. What a fantastic experience, if you're considering it don't hesitate to choose this amazing venue!

My husband and I got married at the top of Mount Snow last September and it was such the perfect spot! At the time, the resort was only having full weddings down at the bottom but since we only wanted our ceremony there they suggested a few spots at the top of the mountain so we could have a beautiful overlook. We had about 30 people overall. Kate Rideout, our contact at Mount Snow, was the best! She communicated so quickly and was extremely helpful with planning. Since it wasn't an official site for them she helped me with the lift tickets, timing of it all, and even organized a champagne toast at the bullwheel. Before the big day she took us to the top to look around and pick the spot as well. Kate went above and beyond to help us plan and we couldn't be more thankful. On our big day, all the staff members were aware of our unofficial event and went out of their way to make sure all our guests made it up the mountain and knew where to go. Although the spot was not "reserved", people were extremely nice and let us use the chosen spot for our ceremony. It wasn't a problem at all to have random people at the summit! If you want a small intimate ceremony location with a beautiful backdrop this is a perfect option.

Today is our three month wedding anniversary and we are still talking about how perfect our wedding was, with a huge part of that due to The Hermitage Inn. The team at The Hermitage made the entire process easy, calming and fun and made the weekend lovely, memorable and perfect. Gina was with us from moment one and was a constant professional who was warm, non-judgemental and available whenever needed. She made sure the day of went on without a hitch and took care of all the big and small details, making sure we didn’t need to worry about anything. I was very specific about wanting to start hair and make up later in the day and Gina adjusted the schedule and made sure I had my morning to myself. During the weekend Mercer, Jan, Sarah, Katia and so many others, along with Gina, made it the best weekend with all of our guests saying the same thing. From the rehearsal dinner, breakfasts in the morning, bar service and, of course, the big event, it was all excellent, personal and thoughtful. Location and venue wise The Hermitage was again, perfect. The property and inn are beautiful, luxurious and luscious. It was incredible to have the entire inn to ourselves with our closest family and friends. The carriage house was a perfect home base to not only get ready in but to have drinks at and to have a little welcome event for just those staying at the inn on Thursday night. I have pictures of my parents and aunts and uncles sitting on the porch telling stories which I will cherish forever. The grounds were beautiful for the wedding and even though the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were at the same venue- each part of the weekend felt unique and intentional as the venue offers so many options. Its been fun to look at the other weddings that have happened since ours on Instagram because not one of them have looked similar. That must be the magic of The Hermitage Inn and Gina, as they truly allow you to bring your own wedding to life. Can’t wait to come back for a weekend and reminisce. My aunts and parents also fell in love with the venue and are planning a trip up the winter.
