About this venue

Nestled amongst thirty tranquil acres of our lush wooded private property, The Emerald Forest provides a stunning backdrop for a strikingly serene and cherished micro-wedding or elopement. We are just four miles east of downtown Redmond and fifteen miles east of downtown Seattle. Within the forest is the Emerald Forest Theater, built-in 2018 by Treehouse Master Pete Nelson. The Theater is a one-of-a-kind outdoor climb-in movie theater made up of a large seating area 15' off the ground, four box seat open-air pods, two "Kodama zome" elevating loungers (tree-levators!), two stories of hammock-like dream nets high in the trees, and projection onto the 16' screen hanging in the trees. The forest of hemlocks, cedars, and fir trees within a gorgeous carpet of green moss is truly one of the most beautiful forests in the world (or so we have been told dozens of times!).

Featured on Treehouse Masters, this magical retreat was built by Pete Nelson in 2017. The glowing wood interior and windows extend from floor to ceiling. Tucked away on thirty forested acres, the airy interior is comfortably furnished and bursting with natural light. Access to the treehouse is off the deck 150' behind our home with a 55-foot suspended bridge among the trees. The treehouse is surrounded by an expansive deck and crow's nest (40 feet high) overlooking the private nature preserve.

Generally, no. The zipline is for staff only. However, with prior discussion and approval, we will often let the Bride and Groom zipline out of the forest after the wedding (with a lot of fanfare) if they are staying in the treehouse that night.
Yes, we have a propane BBQ and BBQ utensils available upon request. We supply to propane.
The entire trail is lit with string lights. Flashlights are available upon request.
No. If you do, you’ll regret it and ditch it 1/3rd of the way in. Please use a backpack.
The venue does not have an actual address. An email with Parking/Driving Directions will be emailed about three weeks prior to your event, and the email is designed to be directly forwarded (by you) to your guests/vendors.
We have an ice machine that can create enough ice for the supplied filtered ice water throughout your event. If you need more than that, you will need to purchase and drop off bags of ice on the day of your event.
Infants and toddlers (3 and under) do not count against your capacity.
