About Oxy Sakagami Photography

Oxy Sakagami Photography

Photographer

I’m Oxana (Oxy), a Seattle-based wedding and portrait photographer with a documentary heart and an editorial eye. I love capturing weddings the way they truly feel — honest, unposed, and full of quiet in-between moments that often go unnoticed. My goal is to help you feel comfortable, present, and completely yourself in front of the camera. I work best with couples who value connection over perfection and want their photos to feel natural, personal, and deeply intentional.

What sets me apart is how personal my approach is. I don’t just show up with a camera — I take the time to understand who you are and what matters most to you. I photograph weddings the way they truly feel, not just how they look — capturing honest, fleeting moments with a calm, intentional presence. My couples often tell me they felt seen, comfortable, and fully themselves — and that, to me, is everything.

    Amazing person, photographer, videographer

We chose Oxy Sakagami Photography LLC and couldn't have made a better decision. From our first conversation, Oxy was friendly and genuinely invested in making our day special. She went above and beyond by organizing group photos, helping arrange our flowers, and even guiding guests down to the ceremony site. What really set her apart was how she captured the love and happiness we were feeling—when we watched our wedding video, we felt just as emotional as we did on the actual day. Oxy's personalized approach and high-quality work made our wedding feel unique and truly ours. We highly recommend her to any couple looking for a photographer who cares as much about your story as you do.

Ahh, thank you so much for this. 🥹🤍 Reading reviews like this never gets old. I absolutely loved being part of your wedding, and it makes me so happy to hear that watching your film took you right back to that day. That's exactly what I hope for every couple! Thank you again for trusting me! Sending you both the biggest hug ❤️

The Photographer You Want For Every Life Milestone

From our engagement shoot, we knew Oxy was going to be amazing, but we didn’t realize just how impactful she would be throughout our entire wedding experience. During our engagement session, she made us feel so comfortable and natural in front of the camera. She let us truly be ourselves while still gently guiding us into the best poses and moments. She had fun prompts that genuinely made us laugh, never felt intrusive or “in our face,” and delivered so many beautifully edited photos with natural colors and timeless editing. Leading up to the wedding, Oxy was incredibly helpful and encouraging through all of her planning check-ins. She provided thoughtful photo checklists, helpful suggestions, and made the entire process feel organized and stress-free. On our wedding day she captured our first look perfectly while also giving us the privacy and space to truly be present with each other in the moment. She also somehow managed to wrangle our entire family for portraits while still keeping everything calm and fun and ensuring nothing got missed. So many of our friends and family commented on how warm, kind, and wonderful our photographer was, which is such a testament to who Oxy is as both a person and a professional. She delivered far more photos than we expected, and every single one feels meaningful and high quality. We had shared the people and moments that mattered most to us, and she captured every single one beautifully. I’m currently pregnant with our first child, and we’ll absolutely be using Oxy again for maternity photos. She’s the kind of photographer that once you find her, you keep coming back for every milestone. We truly could not imagine our wedding day without her, and I cannot recommend her enough.

Oh my goodness... thank you so much for taking the time to write this. 🥹 I honestly don't even know what to say. Thank you again for your trust, your kindness, and for making me feel like part of the celebration. It was an absolute honor. And I am excited to see you again very soon! ❤️

    Highly recommend!

We hired Oxy for our small courthouse wedding, and we are so happy we did! It ended up being a rainy day, but we wanted our photos outside and Oxy embraced the weather and used it to create the most beautiful classic PNW moody/romantic photos! We are not great in front of the camera, but Oxy made us feel comfortable and caught some great moments of us laughing together and none of our photos felt overly posed (which is want we asked for!). I highly recommend hiring a Oxy for any of your wedding !!

Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! You two were an absolute joy to photograph, and I loved all of the little laughs and moments you shared throughout the day. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness (and hopefully a few more cozy PNW adventures together)! ❤️

    Our Sunny August Wedding

100% a genuine, kind, and engaging photographer. Snapped emotional photos of our wedding for hours on a hot day and was happy to stay late when asked on the spot. She captured photos in the exact style I was hoping for and angled shots based on ideas I had. Can’t wait to work with her again!

Thank you so much for these incredibly kind words! You made it so easy with your energy, trust, and creative ideas — I loved bringing your vision to life. I’m so grateful you felt comfortable enough to have me stay and keep documenting those extra moments, especially in that heat! Totally worth it. I would be absolutely thrilled to work together again someday 🫶

I photograph weddings in a documentary way, focusing on real moments as they unfold. I step in with guidance when it’s helpful, especially for portraits, but the goal is always images that feel natural, honest, and true to you.
Yes — gently and intentionally. I’ll guide you during portraits and group photos so you don’t feel awkward or unsure, but during the rest of the day I mostly observe and document what’s happening organically.
You can expect about at least 60 images per hour of photographing if I work by myself and minimum 80 images per hour if I am working with a second shooter. The final number of images in your gallery varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I’ve never cancelled a booking before but we are all human. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my trusted colleagues. I’ll provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement. In case you are not satisfied with the selection and I am not able to provide with further options, you will be fully refunded.
For weddings, galleries are typically delivered within 6 weeks. Engagement sessions are delivered much faster — usually within 10 days.
If you want your wedding photos to feel like your day — not a staged, dircted, and posed photosession — we’ll likely be a great fit. I tailor my approach to each couple, but one thing stays the same: nothing feels forced or overly posed. You’ll be guided when it helps, and otherwise free to be present and enjoy it.
Not at all. Almost everyone tells me this. You don’t need to know how to pose or what to do — I’ll guide you when it helps and keep things relaxed so nothing feels stiff or forced.
A mix of both. Most of the day is about candid moments as they happen, and we’ll also set aside time for portraits. Those are guided, but kept easy and natural — never overly posed.
Yes — depending on the size and flow of the day. For larger weddings or timelines with a lot happening at once, a second photographer helps cover more moments from different angles. For smaller or more intimate days, I often work solo and that’s usually more than enough.
