With over 200 years of Alaskan aviation history surrounding you, our museum provides an eclectic, one-of-a-kind setting and an uncommon value for weddings, receptions, and special events. You and your guests can celebrate alongside vintage aircraft and interactive displays while watching takeoffs and landings right from the grounds. We offer a variety of distinct spaces—from classic hangars to an intimate control tower—ensuring a memorable backdrop that honors Alaska’s pioneering aviation heritage.

Alaska Aviation Museum

Alaska Aviation Museum, unique event spaces at an uncommon value.

The Alaska Aviation Museum offers four highly unique and versatile event spaces: • Main Hangar: The most popular choice, this space is in the heart of the museum's history. It can accommodate 150 standing or 120 seated guests and is closest to catering facilities. • Odom Hangar: Offering the same historic vibe as the main hangar, this space is designed for larger events, comfortably accommodating 300 standing or 200 seated guests. • The Tower: For an intimate and memorable gathering, the Merrill Field Control Tower offers a lakeside, birds-eye retreat with a capacity of 48 guests. It provides a spectacular view of the floatplane operations on Lake Hood. • 737 Jet: Available from May to September, you can make your event truly historic by utilizing the 737 Jet, which has a capacity of 40 guests, providing a one-of-a-kind setting right on the grounds. All spaces allow you to choose your own caterer.
