About this venue

Arctic Valley is a non-profit ski area in the Chugach mountains just outside Anchorage. We offer the best combination of large indoor spaces for dinner and party, along with a beautiful outdoor location for your ceremony. Our lodge has large spaces upstairs and downstairs, so we can separate dinner and the party for large weddings, or keep everything together in the same space for more intimate weddings. We're an open catering and open alcohol venue, so you can bring your choice of vendors, and provide your own drinks if desired. Our chairlift is a unique experience, allowing you and your guests to get to the top of the mountain for beautiful photos and views. We offer most of the necessities as part of our packages, including tables, chairs, arch/arbor, dance floor, sound system, bar areas, and a bunch of table & room decorations. Our curfew is 1am, so you can keep the party going late! We welcome folks to stay overnight in our parking lots or public use cabins.

Great space for dinner for large weddings, and dinner + after party for smaller weddings.

We can seat up to 215 downstairs for dinner, and for weddings of up to about 150 people (120 more comfortably) we can also host the after party in this space. Large windows on the west side provide lots of light and beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Large windows & great views on 3 sides makes this space ideal for your after party or cocktail hour!

For larger weddings, upstairs is the ideal space for your after party! Use our large dance floor and crank the music up for a fun night. The deck just outside is a great place to escape for photos and a breather. For weddings of 100 guests or fewer, use this smaller, more casual space for both the reception and after party.

The Rendezvous Peak package is perfect for a one-day, no-stress celebration! Let us take care of the setup, decorating, and cleaning, while you enjoy your special day. All furnishings and equipment are included to simplify your planning, including our dance floor, sound system, decorations, ceremony chairs, tables, and more. This package allows 12 hours in the lodge, and some of that time can be used the day before (if not booked for another event) for a rehearsal dinner.

Description

Planning a small to mid-size wedding, and don’t want to stay up all night? Take advantage of Alpenglow Lodge’s fantastic views and neutral interior to host a no-fuss wedding and reception in one day. Setup is easy with everything you need (except linens) already on site, and can be done in a couple of hours. At the end, put away the tables and chairs and pay us do the detailed cleaning. Includes 12 hours in the lodge, and all our equipment and furnishings.

Weekend Wedding Bash

Description

Have lots of friends excited to share the best of Alaska’s outdoors with you? Invite them for a long weekend wedding party at Arctic Valley! Camping/RVs are allowed on site, in a beautiful setting without the city lights or noise to detract from the natural surroundings. There’s plenty of time for a rehearsal dinner after setting up. Includes 24 hours split between three days and all of our furnishings and equipment. Add on cleaning by the hour to make the end of your weekend easier.

    We found Arctic Valley Ski Lodge through a recommendation from my boss who is part of the ski team that frequents there. I went in thinking "we'll just check it out", but I was absolutely blown away. The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and had everything we needed and more. John was incredibly kind and helpful, he responded quickly any time we had the smallest of questions for him and the process was simple and easy to reserve our wedding day. They even have a package where they will do the ENTIRE DECORATING AND TAKE DOWN PROCESS FOR YOU. That took SO much pressure off of us. They sent us a brochure of all the decor they had available but we weren't picky and just told them 'make it pretty'. They delivered! The venue was gorgeous, the chairlift was AWESOME - they even kept it running longer than our contract stated so they could make sure everyone had a turn. They truly helped turn the wedding of our dreams into a reality. I remember my brother was really stressing me out at one point and one of the people working the chairlift (I can't remember her name right now unfortunately) told me "Just breathe, this is your day and they will wait for you". She was so kind and helped me to remember that stressing would help nothing and I should just sit back and enjoy the day. The next day when we came back to grab all the gear and anything we might have missed, they had boxed everything up for us, they had even taken down the photobooth! I could not recommend this venue enough, I truly had the best wedding I could have ever hoped for and a huge reason was because of these guys. They made it so fun and so easy. The ONLY thing I would say that is not so great is that I would highly recommend for the ladies to get ready before heading over, there wasn't a great amount of mirrors or plug-ins for hair and makeup in the dressing room. Otherwise? It was PERFECT and more than worth the money spent.

With its stunning mountain views and wildflower- and berry-filled hills, Arctic Valley offers a gorgeous setting that feels miles away from the city—yet it’s conveniently close to Anchorage. The lodge provides the perfect space for hosting wedding receptions, and dancing late into the midnight sun. For couples looking for a truly Alaskan experience, this venue delivers in every season, but summer and fall weddings here capture Alaska at its absolute best.
