My love for the romantic classics and Disney Fairytales has brought my love of event planning to life! Watching every event like a story unfold and become something beautiful. Our main focus is YOU and bringing your ideas to life to celebrate with family and friends for any celebration.

    Our experience with Posh Peony Events was an absolute disaster. Their communication style was non-existent at best - Daniele, our wedding planner, would ghost us for weeks or even months at a time, leaving us in the dark about critical details of our wedding planning. The quality of their work was completely unprofessional. In fact, she even no-showed at a couple of the weddings she was supposed to be coordinating. Things started out well, but as the year went on, the lack of responsiveness and organization became increasingly frustrating. Ultimately, Daniele ghosted us completely right before our wedding, leaving us to scramble and pick up the pieces on our own. I would not recommend Posh Peony Events to anyone looking for a reliable, professional wedding planning experience.

    I feel this review is necessary to inform other couples of what to expect and what our experience was with Posh Peony Events. Communication with Danielle started strong and the interview process went well. She seemed like a very type-A person who would be great at planning and communicating during the wedding planning process, however, that was short lived. Several months after she was hired and contract was signed, the communication slowed to a crawl and simple textsemails began to have response time of several weeks. A meeting was held and we emphasized that this behavior was not working for us; promises were given and our worries were placated. Shortly thereafter, communication completely stopped from her end and no amount of texting, emails, phone calls, and/or Google Meets would prompt a response from her end. We essentially felt ghosted by our own wedding planner.

    Although this happened last summer, I feel it’s important to share because couples deserve to know what to expect before trusting such an important event to this planner. There was a similar review I came across on Google, and after experiencing the same issues myself, I can confirm that this seems to be part of a larger pattern. We hired Daniele a little over three months before our event, specifically choosing the date based on her availability. From the start, she made a good impression. She was responsive, friendly, and seemed like someone who would be organized and on top of things. But as soon as we paid the deposit, everything changed. After the initial contact, the communication stopped. Weeks went by without any updates. When I reached out to check in, Daniele assured me that she would start planning soon and send over a mood board. But as the week came and went with no mood board, I followed up again. She promised we’d meet soon to start the process. However, when the scheduled meeting time arrived, no Google invite was sent. If I hadn’t reached out again, I’m certain nothing would have happened. Despite this, I remained hopeful, thinking things would eventually get on track. But as the event date grew closer, we were still without a venue (even though Daniele had promised to help us find one). I reached out multiple times via email, text, and phone but got no response. At this point, I had no choice but to book the venue myself. I was doing all the work, even though we hired a planner for exactly that reason. Eventually, I received an email stating that a refund was being processed, but there was no explanation or apology, nor any assistance in finding a replacement planner (which her contract promised if she couldn’t fulfill the event). To make matters worse, she didn’t communicate directly with me about the refund or the situation. I had to figure it all out on my own. What’s even more frustrating is that the refund was only partial. Despite Daniele canceling on us and doing absolutely nothing to assist with the event, we only received part of the payment back. It feels unfair that she kept money for services she never provided. What’s most disappointing is that this event was an engagement party, an important milestone, but also an opportunity for Daniele to showcase her work and secure future wedding clients. Given that weddings are her stated priority, I would have expected her to go above and beyond to impress us, especially since we were considering her for our wedding as well. Instead, we were left to handle everything ourselves. Thankfully, we found a fantastic planner at the last minute who was able to save the day, but it shouldn't have come to that. It’s a shame because I had high hopes for Daniele, but her unprofessionalism and failure to deliver on her promises were clear red flags. I’d advise anyone considering her services to be cautious. Especially if you're planning something important like an engagement party or wedding, as she may not be able to handle the workload.
