Hello nearlyweds! I'm Margarita, yes just like the tasty tropical drink. :) I love weddings and I always have. I have cried at all the ones I have attended, and my friends tease me because I will ask anyone who has me over to show me their wedding album! I have spent the past few years working for Wedgewood Weddings and learning everything there is to know about weddings and events. I have helped plan over 200 weddings and personally coordinated more than 125+ weddings with guest counts ranging from 20-250+. Prior to that I worked in tech account management, which gave me the experience to provide you with top tier customer service.

I excel in written and verbal communication, and I'm always on top of the details. When I say I will get you something, you can be certain there will be follow through. My pro wedding tip is to have an activity for your guests instead of spending money on favors that get left behind (unless they're edible!). Recent favorite activities have been hiring an artist to do watercolor portraits of guests, a fortune teller that read palms, and a cigar rolling station! I would love to work with you to bring your wedding vision to life and take care of all the details for you, so you can feel like a guest at your own wedding. Let's get started!

Description

Package includes everything in the Day-of coordination package plus vendor communication in the months leading up to the event and creation of a custom floor plan. Service starts 60 days out. 90 day package also available starting at $3,000.

We start with an in-depth call to discuss the details of your wedding. Then I will review all of your vendor contracts and create a custom Wedding Day Timeline that serves as the playbook for your event. I share it with your vendors before the wedding and manage them day-of. Package also includes virtual check-ins, a venue walkthrough, rehearsal management, and up to 10 hours of in-person support day-of. Service starts 21 days out.

    August Wedding

    Working with Events by Margarita was fantastic start to finish. Margarita was patient and responsive whenever we had questions or needed to make changes, especially as we made decisions in the days leading up to the event. She was diligent about keeping everything on schedule, even though our ceremony and reception were in different parts of town, and we never had to worry about timing or logistics. Her thoughtful approach to planning meant our day flowed perfectly. Beyond the actual planning, her great attitude made the whole process enjoyable. We would definitely recommend Events by Margarita to any couple looking for someone who truly cares about making their wedding special.

    Wonderful Coordination

    Margarita was the wedding coordinator for our September wedding and she did a phenomenal job. She was very organized and communicative. We had a lot of DIY decorations and her assistants did a great job at executing the vision. Our wedding went so smoothly and would recommend her for any couples looking for a coordinator!

    Perfect coordinator made the perfect day

    Hiring Margarita as our wedding coordinator was easily one of the best decisions we made. From our very first meeting, she was incredibly organized and clear about her process, which immediately put us at ease. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she tied up every single loose end so we didn’t have to stress about the details. On the actual wedding day, she was behind the scenes quarterbacking the entire event. Everything ran so seamlessly that we barely had to worry about a thing.     Best decision!!!

    Hiring Margarita was the best decision I made when wedding planning! From the day she took over coordinating, I was instantly able to relax and knew everything was going to be fine. One of the first things she did was use her contacts to ensure that the spot for our first look would be available - which I really appreciated. I had the most relaxing morning of my wedding because she was there and I didn’t have to think about much else. She even pinned all the bouts on the guys! The rest of the wedding was executed flawlessly. Having her there allowed me and my husband to truly be “guests of honor” at our own wedding and to enjoy to moment.

I am the lead planner and day-of support for all weddings. If you add an assistant to your package, you can rest assured they are experienced and reliable. I have worked with them on many, many events!
Yes. I also plan corporate events, milestone birthdays, anniversary parties etc.
No. I like to focus on only one event per weekend to focus my attention on your rehearsal and wedding day!
Yes. I carry up to $2M in liability insurance and can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) if your venue requests it.
Yes! I grew up speaking Spanish with my parents. I love being able to communicate with wedding guests who feel more comfortable communicating in Spanish. Speaking Spanish is also immensely helpful as a wedding planner because many vendors, catering staff, delivery persons etc in the Bay Area are Spanish speakers and being able to communicate with them effectively is essential for a smooth event.
It depends on the wedding! Adding an assistant coordinator to your package is required for events with 2 venues, over 200 guest count, or extensive DIY decor. The price to add an assistant is $500.
