Hi I'm David! Professional Wedding Photographer, part-time snowboard bum, proud Dog Dad, and husband to my wonderful wife, Phoebe. I started White Umbrella Photography for the same reason most people would start their own business, to pursue my passion and experience more out of life. And so far it's been an honor to capture such intimate and honest moments for so many awesome couples. I've laughed, shouted for joy, and even cried for a lot of the couples I've worked with, all from behind the camera. I really do find myself smiling ear to ear after each wedding, being reminded of how rad it is to love, and to be loved in return.

I create an easy going environment where my clients can feel comfortable and safe. It's not unusual to hear me cheerfully globing over you nailing that whimiscal pose I suggested, or gasping with glee when I see you both strike your own pose with confidence. I give my clients the encouragement they may need to stand confidently behind the lens, while having fun and feeling empowered on your wedding day.     It was a pleasure working with David!

    I worked with David, as a fellow vendor (planner) on a recent wedding. David was a pleasure to work with! Professional, responsive, and easy to collaborate with throughout the process.     David is the best!

    White Umbrella Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography! From the beginning, David made us feel comfortable and guided us well during our engagement shoot, as we had never done a professional photo session before.     Captured Our Day Perfectly

Typically, couples book me from a range of 1.5 years to 6 months out from the wedding date. I encourage every couple to reach out as soon as they can, in order to ensure their wedding date is available. But the later you wait, the less of a chance your date may be available. But it's always good to reach out even if your date is one month away, there may still be some availability depending.
While I do not work with an assistant, I do have a secondary photographer that I work with when a couple decides to book a secondary photographer as part of the package.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. Blemish removal, retouching and whitening are also all included in any service.
You can expect about 50-80 images per hour of photographing. That equals 400-500 photos for 8-10 hours, but keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
Making your photos look beautiful takes time, but I use every bit of it to make sure your photos are to the same standard of work that led you to send me that initial inquiry. All galleries are typically finished within 6-8 weeks.
I live in Aurora, Colorado, but am also able to serve clients that live in Las Vegas, NV and the Bay Area, CA. I have family that live in both these locations, so I could offer a discounted travel rate since my lodging would be covered.
Since I have family in both locations, my lodging would be covered, and all you would have to worry about is covering travel. Depending on the season and time, travel fees can range from $375-$450. I'm happy to work with all clients on coming to a fair agreement on travel pricing.
