Pure Sounds has always had a philosophy of “This Is Your Day, Not Ours”. With over 20 years in business, Pure Sounds has solidified its reputation in the industry as a company that seamlessly combines professionalism, class and entertainment, while adhering to each client’s wishes at every step.

We pride ourselves on not being "that DJ"! While MCing, we keep announcements professional, simple and to a minimum (unless we're doing something like inducing you). We have an easy-to-do online planning process, and meet with you before the event to go over everything, and gladly help where needed. We play the right track at the right time (reading the crowd), and did I mention we can beatmatch and keymatch tracks? The pride and joy we put into our events can only come from absolutely loving what we do – and it shows! In short, the success of your event is just as important to us as it is to you.

    Great wedding DJ!

    Sam at Pure Sounds did an excellent job as our DJ. We requested our favorite song from an eclectic mix of genres. Sam took our musical preferences into account and played a great set. He also was great at the announcements and MC-ing. All our guests had a blast at our wedding.

    Pure Sound is Pure Magic

    Michael was amazing. Before the event, he connected us to some wonderful vendors that made our reception easier and more special. During our reception he was always watching/listening and one step ahead of the room and us. He had excellent advice about how we could effectively "keep the party going". We had multiple comments from guests about how good he was - identifying perfect moments for photos and dancing. We would hire him again, in a heartbeat!

    Excellent DJ experience!

    Michael and the Pure Sounds team were great partners for our wedding! He took time to talk through our preferences and hopes for the night throughout the process, and was a great partner in running the event. Highly recommend to anyone!

I knew what you wanted, and getting to run it alongside you on the day was the part I loved. The dubstep Hava Nagila is still one of my favorite moments from this season.     The Best DJ!

    We were very impressed and pleased with Michael – Pure Sounds Productions! He was professional and organized from the beginning to the end. He was incredibly organized and has the intake process down to a science. We felt like he genuinely learned what we liked and disliked as a couple and absolutely nailed our music. In addition, his day of presence was truly impressive. He coordinated effortlessly with our planner and always kept us in the loop when we were moving to the next part/event of our day. You can tell Michael has a depth of experience that enables him to run the entire show without issue. He was so helpful and kind with tips on how to improve our experience at the reception. Everything from how to keep people on the dance floor to how to navigate greeting each table. He kept the party going and really read the room throughout the night. We would highly recommend Michael!!

    Amazing experience with Pure Sounds!

    From the moment we booked Pure Sounds Productions, we knew we were in good hands. Sam, our Dj, was incredibly responsive, kind, and adaptable throughout the entire planning process. As the DJ and MC for our wedding, Sam exceeded all of our expectations. He was efficient, personable, and truly went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. For our wedding, we had a long slideshow tribute to my father that Sam seamlessly incorporated, removing any stress from us. Additionally, Sam expertly organized the timing and flow of the entire event, ensuring our guests always knew where they needed to be while keeping the energy high on the dance floor all night long. We couldn't have been luckier to work with Pure Sounds Productions and we highly recommend them to any couple planning their wedding.

Yes, we offer an optional ceremony sound system that includes up to two lavalier microphones and a handheld microphone with a stand. Additionally, we can provide an extra speaker for cocktail areas to ensure seamless music transitions between spaces, eliminating any music downtime.
Yes, we are fully insured, which is essential for wedding DJs. If necessary, we can also add your wedding venue to our insurance coverage.
My style is 'mixed format' with a focus on contemporary pop music from the '50s to today. I create a seamless and dynamic musical experience, curating each moment in real-time based on the dance floor's energy and your preferences. This keeps guests entertained and engaged, while avoiding tiring your guests out with too many very high-energy songs at once or using too many slow songs. With nearly 30 years of professional experience, I bring expertise in 'beat matching' and 'key matching' from my house music background. This ensures smooth transitions and a cohesive flow, with most tracks played almost in full and no awkward silences.
I like arriving and setting up 2.5 hours before the event's start time.
We provide multiple lighting options, from a great wash dance light system to an "advanced" dance light system with moving heads. We also offer up-lights for a more atmospheric effect. A ceremony sound system and extra speakers are also available. We do not currently provide photo booths, but we can make recommendations for great photo booth professionals!
