Hi, I’m Lisa, the photographer behind Take A Shot Photography by Lisa, proudly serving couples throughout West Michigan. Photography is more than a business to me—it’s something I truly love. I’m passionate about capturing the genuine moments, emotions, laughter, happy tears, and little details that make your wedding day uniquely yours. I want my couples to feel comfortable, have fun, and enjoy their day while I preserve the memories they’ll treasure for a lifetime. My goal is to create beautiful, authentic images that allow you to relive the love and emotion of your wedding for years to come.

What sets me apart from other photographers is that I genuinely care about the people behind the photographs. I don’t want to simply show up, take pictures, and send you a gallery.     Take a Shot Photography by Lisa was AMAZING

    Lisa truly exceeded our expectations. She captured our wedding day so beautifully and got everything we could have wanted and more. She was quick with responding, quick with editing and all around amazing to work with. I highly recommend Lisa for all of your life events.

    Lisa photographed my daughter for her senior portraits. She was very easy to work with when it came to scheduling. She offered a variety of times that worked well for her and gave us the opportunity to choose one that worked for us. She has the inside scoop on some beautiful scenery to make the photos just "pop." She spent countless hours editing photos and giving us many options to choose from. THE PICTURES...the pictures turned out beautiful...even more than I hope for. Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening for an additional charge.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-8 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a digital gallery.
In my 6 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
