Hi friends! I'm new to Zola! I’m Mimi, the photographer behind the lens at Sol & Rose Photography. I’m a mama to the sweetest little boy, a lover of period dramas, golden hour light, and stories that tug at your heart. If I’m not chasing my kiddo or capturing love, you can probably find me curled up with a good book, daydreaming about wide open skies and wildflowers. 🌾📚📸 Photography isn’t just my job, it’s my heart. Disappointed
We chose Mimi as our wedding photographer because she appeared experienced, professional, and confident throughout the planning process. Unfortunately, our experience after the wedding did not meet the expectations set by her portfolio, communication, or contract. Our wedding was on February 9, 2026. According to our contract, our full gallery was to be delivered within 6–8 weeks. When the 8 week deadline arrived and we still had not received our photos, I reached out on April 6 to ask about the status of our gallery. Mimi responded that wedding season had been very busy and that our gallery would be completed by the end of that week or, at the latest, the beginning of the following week. Although this was already beyond the contracted delivery timeframe, I remained patient and understanding. After waiting another 10 days without receiving anything, I reached out again on April 16. Mimi responded that she had sent our gallery. While I was excited to finally receive our photos, my disappointment began when I reviewed them. The most concerning issue was with my bridesmaid portraits. In virtually every individual photo with a bridesmaid, another bridesmaid was visibly standing in the background. Additionally, neither of us was looking directly at the camera in many of the images, despite there being two photographers present throughout the day. Several photos also appeared unfinished in post production, including one where an attempted edit on the wall behind us was left incomplete, resulting in an obvious blurred or smeared area that draws attention rather than blending naturally. Wedding photography is a significant investment, and we chose this team expecting attention to detail, quality control, and professional editing. Unfortunately, the final gallery did not reflect the level of service or craftsmanship we believed we were paying for. I understand that busy seasons happen, and I tried to be patient throughout the process. However, between the delayed delivery and the quality concerns within the final gallery, I cannot honestly recommend this photographer based on my experience. Brides and couples deserve timely communication, carefully curated images, and a final product that reflects the importance of their wedding day.

I completely understand your frustration regarding the delay in receiving your gallery, and for that I am truly sorry. Wedding season was exceptionally busy, but that is not an excuse. Throughout the editing process, I was putting so much love, care, and attention into your images because I wanted you to receive what I felt was a beautiful and complete gallery that honored your wedding day. I would also like to clarify that the bridesmaid portraits referenced in this review were not the images that remained in your final gallery. The images initially uploaded were not the final versions intended for delivery. As soon as I realized the mistake, I immediately corrected the images, updated the gallery, and personally contacted you to let you know the corrected versions had been uploaded. It genuinely saddens me to read this review because I truly did my absolute best to serve you throughout the entire process. Your wedding was one of my favorite weddings to photograph, and your gallery remains one of my favorite galleries I have ever created. Every image was edited with care, and every part of your wedding day was documented with the intention of preserving those memories beautifully. While I respect that your experience did not meet your expectations, I am proud of the work that was delivered and the heart that went into creating it. I always strive to grow from every client experience and feedback received. I sincerely wish you and Phillip a lifetime of happiness, love, and wonderful memories together. Thank you for trusting me to be a part of such an important day in your lives.

We were so lucky to find and choose Mimi to capture our wedding day! She has such a beautiful personality and energetic presence that made me feel so comfortable the days leading up to our wedding as well as on the big day! Her commitment and communication were both stellar and we truly just feel so lucky to have had such a genuine person responsible for capturing the magic of our wedding day. Our guests are still talking about her and some have even reached out for her info after being so impressed by her performance at our wedding.
