Our experienced consultants will guide you every step of the way, ensuring every detail is crafted to your needs. Exclusivity and personalized service are our priorities. Set on 43 acres of landscaped grounds, we offer both outdoor and indoor ceremony spaces. The light-filled barn and picturesque lake, pier, and lawns create the perfect backdrop for photos. Our 7,200-square-foot barn accommodates up to 300 guests, or can be customized for a more intimate setting. We also offer three spacious getting-ready rooms, providing a relaxed atmosphere for you and your wedding party.

This venue is conveniently located 90 minutes outside of Dallas at Cottonwood Barn, large chandeliers and white wooden walls lend a touch of elegance to any celebration. Ceremonies can be held outdoors on Cottonwood acreage, so you can immerse yourself in the beautiful countryside.

Beautiful property but service did not match
The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the staff members I interacted with were always kind and pleasant. However, my overall experience was overshadowed by repeated communication issues and a lack of accountability when concerns were raised. One of the first issues occurred during planning. I believed I was communicating with my original venue consultant, Rayen, for months, only to learn during my final planning meeting that she had left the venue long before. This transition was never communicated to me and contributed to confusion throughout the planning process. On the wedding day, our reception layout was not set up as discussed. When my helpers asked about missing tables and linens, they were informed certain items were unavailable, resulting in last-minute design changes and multiple interruptions while I was getting ready. This was especially frustrating because I had created detailed setup instructions in advance to avoid these situations. The most disappointing issue involved the venue’s in-house catering service. Throughout planning, we were told we would be responsible for collecting leftover food at the end of the night, so we came prepared with containers and custom to-go boxes for our guests. Instead, the catering staff left early, did not offer seconds to guests, and packed up while my husband and I were still taking photos. Guests were still asking for food and commenting that there appeared to be plenty remaining. We repeatedly sought answers. We asked before leaving the reception, I followed up by text afterward, and I returned the next morning and asked again. At no point were we informed that the remaining food had been packed up and left at the venue. We only learned that later. As a result, a significant amount of food we paid for went unused due to a breakdown in communication. Another concern involved a beverage dispenser that cracked during setup. My helper immediately informed venue staff and offered to pay for it herself so it would not affect my deposit. She was told the replacement cost would likely be between 40–60. However, I was later informed that 100 would be deducted from my deposit. I fully understand being held responsible for damage. What disappointed me was the difference in how accountability was handled. I apologized for the damage and hoped the venue would be willing to work with us on the deposit given the communication failures that had already resulted in frustration, confusion, wasted food, financial loss, and a diminished guest experience. Instead, I was informed that the venue does not provide full-service coordination, that the staff involved was new, and that the deduction would remain unchanged. The reception layout and in-house catering communication were both services coordinated through the venue. While the venue was quick to hold me accountable for a cracked item, I did not feel it accepted the same level of accountability for communication failures involving services under its control. Before writing this review, I made every effort to come to a resolution with the venue staff. My experience left me feeling that couples will be held accountable when something goes wrong on their end, but the venue will not hold itself to the same standard when issues arise within services it coordinates and manages.

The Cottonwood Barn Venue was an absolutely fantastic choice for our wedding. From the very beginning, the team was quick to respond to all of our questions and requests, making the planning process a breeze. I absolutely adore Rayen and all of her help for my wedding leading up to the day. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and brought my vision to life! The staff were also incredibly helpful, with representatives on hand throughout the entire day to assist us and our guests as needed. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to host our special day!

Great venue
My wife and I had nothing but an amazing experience choosing this venue to be the site of our wedding. The landscape is beautiful, and the venue is well-kept. The space itself is worth every penny, and the staff are all incredibly flexible and amenable. Cottonwood Barn has been incredible, and we are so grateful to them for letting us have our day there!
