    My wife and I decided to hire Mikkel because of the beautiful photos taken at my wife’s sister’s wedding! The glowing reviews she has from her past clients couldn’t be more true. Mikkel is professional, organized, compassionate, and treats you as if you were her own sister/family member. She truly cares about the couple’s experience and takes that into account from the moment you have your initial meeting with her. My wife and I were worried about being awkward in front of the camera, but mikkel put us at ease and made the entire process fun, guiding us to be ourselves and encouraging us to get lost in the moment! During the twists and turns of our wedding weekend, Mikkel never showed a sign of concern (regarding the tropical storm headed our way), but always stayed positive, assuring us that we would have the most beautiful memories no matter the weather! We can’t recommend mikkel enough! She is an immeasurable addition to your wedding day experience and will leave you with stunning and lasting memories to enjoy for the rest of your life!

    Mikkel was more than just our photographer, she was a partner to us for the wedding as a whole! We had a destination wedding on the new Disney cruise ship, the Wish, and while it was an amazing time there were definitely challenges to planning a destination wedding at a brand new venue that we couldn't see until the wedding trip itself. Mikkel has a strong network of contacts in the industry that kept her informed of the ship and logistics and she ended up being more helpful to us than our Disney wedding coordinator! She checked in multiple times throughout our wedding planning on photography things such as the timeline, but also helped in providing her opinion on things like the bridesmaid dresses, the locations for the first look, and was generally helpful with her wealth of knowledge of Disney Cruise Line weddings to bounce ideas off of. Her pictures were INCREDIBLE! The quality, coloring, angles, lighting, everything about them is absolutely perfect. But most importantly, she is such a warm and happy person to work with that we felt incredibly comfortable posing in front of her for hours on end! We also had the luxury of her husband helping us a bit too and they were such a team, working together in the hot Bahamian sun quickly and effectively without even needing to direct each other most of the time to maximize how many pictures we could get before the sweat ruined our dress/suit/hair! Another attribute of Mikkel's that's worth mentioning is her flexibility. We took pictures with her the days before and after our wedding in addition to the big day, and our plan and timeline for the full weekend was completely in flux due to the chaos of our venue. If that caused issues for Mikkel, we never knew as she was upbeat and positive and leaned into every challenge that came our way. Honestly I could go on and on about her, she's exactly who we needed for our wedding and I am so grateful that we found her. If you are considering Mikkel, stop thinking about it and just book her - you won't regret it!

    We love working with Mikkel! She makes every meeting and shoot a good time and is also such an efficient photographer. Her work is so beautiful and she always goes above and beyond to deliver what was initially promised. She's great at switching gears on the spot if something doesn't go as planned or if an idea isn't working. Truly a pleasure to work with as a videographer. We can't wait for the opportunity to work with her again!

    Hiring Mikkel was one of the first things I did when I got engaged. I let her know immediately the dates we had in mind so I was sure that she would be our wedding photographer. The truth is, I gave her very little direction on what I wanted because I trusted her vision and work completely. The day of the wedding, our entire family was so impressed at how well she knew everyone's name, our entire family dynamic, as well as our location (we did a destination wedding and Mikkel made sure to do a full walkthrough of the entire property beforehand). We still joke about how much little involvement we had because we felt so comfortable working with her! I will say this time and time again, hire someone you trust and know will give you peace of mind. Mikkel captured every moment so beautifully and seamlessly I almost forgot we were being photographed. Hands down the best decision we made!
