Our wedding day!

Shelby was the perfect addition to our special day. She is professional, kind and caring. She made sure our ceremony was everything we hoped for and even more!

I’m so glad we hired Shelby as our wedding officiant! She met with us in advance to get a sense of us as a couple and what we wanted from the ceremony, shared a ceremony script before to get our feedback (e.g. poem options), and gave me feedback on my vows that I shared with her just a day before the ceremony. She was super flexible with our last-minute elopement, even finding room in her schedule to move us a day earlier when we realized that would work better for us. The ceremony itself was poignant and exactly what we could have hoped for. I definitely recommend Shelby to anyone getting married in New York.

Let me just say, I've attended many weddings and the officiant is typically not a memorable part of the night. However, that was NOT the case with Shelby, and I'm not just saying that because it was my own wedding! Multiple guests made it a point to tell me weeks after the wedding that they loved the ceremony and especially our officiant's calm energy. I believe that says everything you need to know about Shelby's talent for officiating a lovely ceremony. First, she took the time to get to know us before sending us a draft of the ceremony which went through a couple rounds of edits so it better fits "us". She was a joy to work with and I generally appreciated her easy-going attitude and responsiveness. Super professional and I'm sad we won't get to work together again.

My husband and I hired Shelby for our wedding ceremony and were more than happy with her services. She was professional and knowledgeable, but also warm and thoughtful. She came with set ceremony scripts to choose from and was more than happy to modify it in parts to meet our requests. As well, she gave us helpful advice and info about the whole marriage license process. It was one of only a few parts of organizing the big day that did not add any stress!

Shelby was amazing as our officiant for our recent wedding. Her calm energy was what made us want her to officiate our wedding and she did an amazing job. The ceremony was sweet, a little funny, romantic, and perfectly timed. Thank you so much Shelby!
