Restaurant now open in Middletown offering tastings! Preparing and serving slow smoked, expertly prepared Texas barbecue and rustic Italian inspired dishes is the greatest joy in my life. There are no short cuts in barbecue and that's what I love about it. We started Luongo Barbecue to glorify the Lord and grow the Kingdom of God. We use the business as a means to feed and serve our community. After spending 30 years in Texas we have relocated to central Pennsylvania to begin working with family on the next chapter of Luongo Barbecue. Winners of "Best in Show" and "Best Entrée" at Taste of Western Lancaster County 2025 for our brisket.

We're not hired to simply provide and serve food. We provide the bride, groom and their guests with a memorable dining experience for them to truly enjoy as they gather around the table to celebrate and honor the beginning of their lives together. Our work is our worship. We aim to bring glory to God by serving you with excellence. Every wedding is sacred and worthy of our best efforts. A portion of profits go to feeding the homeless and funding missions though our church. NO SEED OILS! Quality is non-negotiable. We cook all of our prepared dishes exclusively with olive oil, avocado oil, and tallow.

I used Luongo catering for my backyard wedding reception and the food was a hit! They brought plenty of food and it was all delicious! We had a charcuterie board, pulled brisket, pork, and chicken. As well as coleslaw, potato salad, green salad, Mac and cheese, and corn casserole. The peach cobbler dessert was amazing as well! They were very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend them if you are looking for awesome smoked meat and sides for your event!

The Best Ribs for the Best Day Ever!
Chuck and his wife were an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end! And when I say their communication is fast, that is genuinely an understatement. I emailed Chuck one afternoon and had a response in my inbox less than TWO MINUTES later! Throughout the entire planning process, they were incredibly responsive, helpful, and easy to work with. And then there's the food. Chef's kiss!! Everything was absolutely delicious. You probably don't see too many brides happily eating ribs in their wedding dress, but after our tasting, I knew there was no way we were having our reception without Luongo Barbecue's ribs. Between those and the peach cobbler, I was sold. I genuinely didn't care if someone had to put a bib on me at my own wedding—I was eating those ribs! And they were every bit as delicious on our wedding day as we remembered. What made our experience with Luongo even more special, though, was Chuck himself. He made a point to personally stop by our wedding and happened to catch us as we were heading in for our private moment immediately after the ceremony. It was so wonderful getting to see him, and he took a moment to pray over the two of us and our marriage. It was such an unexpected and genuinely special moment that we'll always remember. From the incredible food to the unbelievably quick communication to the genuine care they showed us as a couple, we couldn't have been happier with our experience. If you love barbecue and are looking for an amazing caterer who will work with you to make your wedding day as special as possible, we absolutely recommend Luongo Barbecue! And seriously...get the ribs and peach cobbler. You won't regret it!

Amazing Wedding Catering!
Choosing Luongo BBQ as our wedding caterer was one of the best decisions we made! They provided such a great experience from start to finish and were incredibly responsive, quick to communicate, and flexible throughout the planning process. They were so easy to work with and genuinely cared about making our wedding a great experience. And, of course, the food was amazing! We received so many compliments from our guests about the BBQ and how delicious everything was. They did an incredible job at The Star Barn and handled everything seamlessly. We also really loved getting to work with a company that is so mission oriented and clearly cares about what they do and the people they serve. We would absolutely recommend Luongo BBQ to other couples and would happily work with them again. We’re already excited to check out their new restaurant!

Best Wedding Caterer Period
The absolute best wedding caterer you could have. From day one, Chuck was nothing but kind and responsive. We ultimately went with him to cater our wedding and him and his team did not disappoint. I truly lost count on the number of people who came up and said this was the best wedding food they've ever had... I eat a lot of BBQ and smoke a lot of meats myself and this is truly phenomenal. The taste, the presentation, and the generosity of the crew working. Had several people comment how kind the staff was... would do it over again 100. I would hope the Star Barn would add him to the preferred list as well because this blew away all of the tastings we did from their "preferred" vendor listings. Thanks Chuck!!

Still dreaming about the food!!
Luongo Barbecue exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding! The food was absolutely incredible, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. We received so many compliments throughout the night and even after the wedding. I am still dreaming about that brisket and the green beans! Beyond the amazing food, the entire Luongo team was phenomenal to work with. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for outstanding food and exceptional service for their wedding! P.S skip a cake and get their dessert instead! We got the peach cobbler and it was incredible!
