Q: What do you wear?

I always ask the couple! I can be as casual or as formal as you'd like. Generally I try not to take too much attention away from the couple or the guests, so I wear a black suit with a white shirt (tie optional).

Q: Do you learn new songs?

Absolutely! Depending on the difficulty and how long I have to learn it before the wedding, this could be an additional fee. But my goal is always to make the wedding what you want it to be, so I will be honest if it is not feasible.

Q: Do you take music requests?

Yes, but I'm not always able to accommodate. But if I don't know a song, I'll always do my best to play something similar that the requester might like!

Q: What is your style?

I'm able to play a little bit of almost every genre. But my favorite things to play are what most people would call "laidback acoustic music". I play a lot of Jack Johnson, Avett Brothers, John Mayer, Jason Mraz, The Lumineers, etc. But I also play pop hits from Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, and Passenger; some oldies by Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, and Nat King Cole; some country by Zac Brown Band, John Denver, and Old Crow Medicine Show; and some rock by The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and U2! Just ask for my complete song list and I can send it to you :)

Q: What is your travel and break down fee?

I don't charge for setup/breakdown time and travel fees are really on a case-by-case basis.

I can provide insurance upon request!

Q: What makes you different from other musicians?

For starters, I'm not a diva! If you've ever worked with musicians before, you'll know that some musicians are just drama queens. And you don't want drama on your big day! One thing that my past clients always echo is how easy I am to work with. But also, I strive to provide the highest quality music possible for your wedding, rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, or whatever event you need me for! I think my singing ability combined with my versatile song selection is what sets me apart.

I really pride myself in being a professional. When I joined the wedding industry, I was shocked by how many vendors were...not professional. I have very simple contracts that don't overcomplicate things yet clarify what you can expect from me and vice versa. I personalize every performance and I'm willing to work with the client no matter what that looks like: learning new songs, playing with a track, payment plans, you name it. But the main driver of my pricing is the quality of music I provide. I practice hard nearly every day to keep my voice and guitar skills in top shape so I can make your wedding as special as it deserves to be.
