Discosapien Weddings

We are so glad we chose discosapien dj for our wedding! Rex did such a great job with the music and especially dancing portion- so, so many of our guests were complimenting the experience and we are so glad we went with him!

I had high hopes for Discosapien because they are on The Manor House’s preferred vendor list. My initial disappointment came from a missed meeting, but what ultimately led me to write this Google review was how the situation was handled afterward. My wedding planner had a meeting scheduled with them at 12:00 PM, and they never called as agreed. We also tried reaching them by phone, but no one answered. I understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can happen. My concern was the complete lack of communication after the missed meeting. A quick “family emergency. can’t attend meeting” message would’ve been super helpful. They did not contact us until after I posted my review on The Knot, and even then, the focus was on having the review removed rather than apologizing for missing the scheduled meeting. That left me with the impression that addressing the review was a higher priority than addressing what had happened. When couples are making important decisions about their wedding vendors, clear communication and accountability matter. After I shared my experience, my wedding planner, who had scheduled the meeting, received a phone call, a voicemail, and a text message asking that I remove my review. I would have expected an apology for missing the scheduled meeting before there was an effort to have the review taken down. This review was originally posted on The Knot but was removed because I was not under contract with this vendor. I understand that this is The Knot’s policy. However, I believe it is still important for other couples to know about my experience during the inquiry process. Professionalism and communication before booking are just as important as the services provided after a contract is signed.

Andy from Discosapien was fantastic for our Denver wedding! He kept the energy high all night and had everyone out on the dance floor. He read the crowd perfectly, mixed great music, and rolled with everything the evening threw his way. Couldn't have asked for a better DJ to make our reception a blast — highly recommend!

We are about 3 months out from our wedding and when I say all I mean ALL of our guests are still raving about how amazing the wedding was and most specifically, the music. I quote "the best music at any wedding we have ever been to". Hiring Discosapien and specifically DJ Max Kruse was the BEST decision we could have ever made. Our dance floor was packed the entire night and when we said we wanted a party, DJ Max heard the assignment loud and clear. We had a very clear vision of what we wanted and he took our preferences but also creative liberty when making song decisions. He was so present with the crowd and attune to what the people wanted without straying from our style one bit. If you are still looking for a DJ, you can stop your search here. 10/10, especially if you are looking for club style music but I am confident they would absolutely crush whatever music style you are envisioning. For those that care a lot about the professionalism and responsiveness, you will have no concerns with this company. Incredible response time and probably the easiest of all my vendors to work with. It was an epic night and we would relive it with Discosapien every time if we could.

Discosapien was terrific as we planned our wedding. Our specific DJ, Matt, was amazing and tailored the music to our exacts requests. Very professional, very responsive. Would highly recommend.
