“My husband and I absolutely adore Kristen. Trying to pick a photographer was an overwhelming decision for us due to the fact that there are so many different styles and we weren’t sure what we were looking for. But once we talked to Kristen on the phone we knew she was the perfect fit for us. Her energy over the phone was so infectious and made us excited to get in front of her camera. Our first time meeting her was at our engagement shoot. We decided to go with a sunrise beach session and Kristen showed up with energy and ready to capture our love. “Kaitlin is amazing to work with. As a photographer who has done weddings myself, I had high standards and specific requests that weeded out a lot of people during my search. Kaitlin immediately stood out to me as someone with the ability to capture the essence of a couple. As I browsed her galleries I felt like I knew the couples and their stories by the time I was done. My wife and I are very introverted, shy, and not used to being the center of attention — let alone in front of a camera. After consulting with Kaitlin it was even more clear that she was the perfect photographer for us. Kaitlin listened to our requests, asked us questions to get a better understanding of what sort of coverage we’d like, and checked in multiple times leading up to the wedding day to go over plans. On the day of, Kaitlin was incredible. She set her flash units up perfectly to give a beautiful sense of lighting to our indoor pictures. Kaitlin was quick and professional with our family formals without feeling like she was rushing anyone. We love our newlywed portraits, largely due to how natural it felt to work with her—again this was huge for us as two people who are a bit camera shy. Our reception photos are equally beautiful, she captured meaningful candid moments without feeling like she was standing between us and the moments happening around us. If you’re like my wife and me and aren’t used to being on camera, I would 100% recommend booking a practice session with Kaitlin either for engagement photos or couples’ photos. As a photographer I’m used to being behind the camera and not in front of it. She helped us feel comfortable and it also helped her see how we interact together as a couple. At no point did we feel like Kaitlin was commandeering our schedule to check off boxes on a shot-list. She was seamlessly integrated everything. Genuinely, I cannot recommend Kaitlin enough. “Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

“Tony was on top of absolutely everything! Sometimes it was like he was just teleporting to the right places at all the right times!
