Kathy Loiselle is a travel and destination wedding and elopement photographer based out of New England. She has photographed in Tuscany, Lake Tahoe, Santa Monica, Colorado, Savannah, Greece, Key West, Maui, Germany, Orlando, and Maine. With a master's degree in business education and 10+ years of experience running her own business, Kathy is a mentor to other business owners in the Connecticut wedding industry. With a mix of editorial and photojournalistic images, your images will be timeless.

With a background in business education, Kathy and her team will approach your day both as artists and professionals. Kathy will direct you to get the best images when needed and balance out her direction with candid and natural moments that are captured as your wedding day unfolds.

    Truly the BEST!

    Working with Kathy was SUCH a pleasure i'm not sure if I can even capture it in words! She truly played a huge role in making the day so magical. She was phenomenal with the kids in our wedding party and was extremely personable with our families/wedding party. Her daughter came along to help, and she was also extremely professional and SUCH an asset (she literally had band-aids ready for a crying kiddo and it was the sweetest thing ever). She worked seamlessly with our videographer, and really helped take the awkwardness out of posed photos (especially as me and my husband aren't exactly used to being in front of a camera!). We were SO happy with how all the photos came out, and have gotten SO many compliments from our family and friends as well. Again, not only did she help make the magic on the day happen, but also captured it BEAUTIFULLY and provided us with amazing final photos.

    Incredible photos!

    Working with Kathy from Simply K Studios was an absolute dream! Full disclosure: I've known Kathy since she was my high school teacher, and have followed her photography ever since she made her career change. As soon as we got engaged, I knew without a doubt that I wanted her to photograph our wedding. Her work is stunning, and her eye for detail is incredible. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day, Kathy brought such a calming, upbeat energy that instantly put us at ease. I don't love getting my picture taken and often feel awkward in front of a camera, but Kathy is so chill and instantly puts you at ease. She has a knack for guiding you through natural-looking poses, and her prompts led to photos that feel candid and real — nothing cheesy or stiff. It honestly felt like we were just having fun together, not "posing" for photos. Kathy also recommended our videographer (Matt Van Ness! Also highly recommended!), and they worked seamlessly as a team the entire day - their synergy made it clear that they've worked together before! I can’t recommend Simply K Studios enough. Kathy clearly loves what she does and that love shows up in her pictures. If you're looking for a photographer who’s both incredibly talented and an absolute joy to be around, Kathy is it. We’re so lucky to have had her capture our day!

    Kathy is amazing to work with! She is professional and fun, takes away all of the camera shyness! She truly captured our vision with our engagement photos and wedding photos! The album she created was simple, timeless and absolutely stunning!

    THE BEST

Yes, engagement sessions are offered during weekday evenings unless you are planning to have a destination session. You are not obligated to add an engagement session to your wedding package, but it is a wonderful way for us to meet and connect with each other! There is no better way for us to learn your style and for you to see yourself in our photos before your wedding day.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a digital download with high-resolution image files, so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints directly from your online gallery.
Yes, we carry liability insurance for events! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them via email.
You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
Yes, all regular wedding packages include a second photographer. If you have a more intimate wedding with less than ~40 people then I recommend having one photographer versus two.
Typically, couples book me about 12-18 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame, as dates fill up quickly once we open the calendar.
No, I prefer focusing on still photography only, so you can get the best wedding pictures possible.
