From my initial conversation with Johanna about my vision for my look, I could tell this was the right salon for me and my girls. Her careful attention to detail and genuine care for me as a potential client impressed me. Throughout the process, Yoli, the bridal coordinator, responded to all of my questions promptly and cheerfully. Marielly and Janelle made me feel so comfortable and confident at my trial and were open and responsive to feedback and follow-up questions I had about my own look as well as questions my girls wanted to ask. On my wedding day, my bridesmaids, mom, and I got ready at the pink salon. The space is bright, airy, and full of cute spots for photos. Marielly and Janelle gave each of my girls the same VIP treatment they gave me at my trial and they kept us on time to ensure the rest of the day went smoothly. My group ranged widely in terms of needs (we had hair that was curly, straight, thick, and thin and girls who ranged from wearing little to no makeup regularly to girls who regularly go full glam and wanted bright and colorful looks), and each girl ended up with a look that was perfect for them! Our hair and makeup lasted all night long! While the final product was impressive, what stands out the most to me about working with The Stately Rose was how they made me feel. Every question or concern I had was treated as important (no matter how small) in the lead-up to the day. In the salon, Marielly and Janelle created a positive, fun, relaxed, and empowering environment. They were the ultimate hype-women all morning and they really set the tone for the day moving forward. It was especially meaningful to me how much care our team took in accommodating health and safety concerns among my party; requests we made to keep those with compromised immune systems or allergies comfortable and safe were made without hesitation. We all left the salon to start the rest of the busy and stressful day feeling like our best selves. I could not have asked for a better glam team and I’d recommend The Stately Rose to any bride-to-be without hesitation!”

“Amber and Kristy did a great job on the makeup and hair for myself and my bridesmaids, and makeup for my mom. They were fun, friendly, and informative, and everyone looked beautiful. They listened to my feedback from my trial, and everything came out even better on the day. I felt so beautiful all day, and never worried once about my hair or makeup staying in place, even through SO many tears (even when the wind decided to take my veil, it popped easily back into place)! And everything was so comfortable for how durable it proved to be - no drying products or pulling on my hair. Amber and Kristy's work is a great value, and they fit right in with my bridal party, making the start to the day that much more fun. My only critique was the timeline - I was working without a coordinator, so I trusted the professionals to lay out a timeline that they were comfortable with. Ultimately it just wasn't enough time, and despite my mother-in-law dropping out of the lineup (for unrelated reasons), my makeup still finished late. I understand this stuff happens, but I felt like the only one concerned about continuing to fall behind, and we would have had no issue getting started earlier if asked. So I would recommend some buffer in your timeline, particularly if you are DIYing it, but they did a great job!”

“Meghan was an actual blessing on our wedding. We got married in Maine and I had previously found someone more local to do my hair. To say that initial test with the other person was disappointing would be a gross understatement. I have very thin hair and as such bought extensions. The other person said she couldn't use all of them, and the ones she did use pulled on my hair and scalp in such a painful way that I couldn't wear them for more than an hour or so and the style looked thin and fried. Enter Meghan. Given the exact same tools and accessories she worked actual magic. She gave me wedding hair better than I ever could've imagined or dreamed of. I asked for wild and witchy and romantic and she delivered tenfold. It was so comfortable and long-lasting and I got nothing but compliments on it and she did such a good job integrating the extensions that no one believed it wasn't my real hair. “I had my trial in July for my October wedding, and I’ll admit I was a little nervous since I never wear makeup and didn’t know what to expect. I told Pam I didn’t want really heavy makeup up and she listened. The makeup looked beautiful, but I was a bit concerned about how long it would last since I couldn’t keep it on for long after the trial. My curls also weren’t as tight as I’d hoped, and they fell flat after a few hours, so I worried they might not hold up on my wedding day. I shared my concerns with Pam and Brenna—especially about my hair, since it never holds curls—and they truly listened. On the day of the wedding, they absolutely nailed it. They were also so fun to work with. My makeup and hair both lasted all night long, and my hair was exactly what I had envisioned. It couldn’t have been more perfect! I don’t have professional photos yet but these are some friends took.”

Very responsive to emails, feedback, questions and more. As a client, watching her be so passionate about her work was/is inspiring. She made the morning of my wedding so fun, stress-free and set the tone for the day (in the best way possible). My entire wedding party had nothing but wonderful things to say about Sara and how they looked/felt after getting their makeup done. As a bride, Sara gave me the space to criticize what I liked, what I didn't like and/or what I wanted to emphasize more. I cried during our trial (tears of joy) and cried the day of my wedding (I'm a soft ball). The day of my wedding, I told Sara what details I wanted to change and she was SO supportive of my decision(s) - which is a big deal because everyone wants to give their thoughts/opinions and Sara only cared about what *I* wanted. Lastly, I cried on/off during my wedding day (so many happy tears), it rained/sprinkled during our first look photos and the rest of the night, I sweated on the dance floor and my make up looked FLAWLESS throughout the entire night. Sara gave me a little kit for touch ups as needed (after the ceremony) and I didn't even need it (except the lips which I did eventually reapply).”
