Welcome. The Grounds of North Star is located on the path of our Lady of Guadalupe. At the center of the 50-acre farm stands the world’s largest statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Mary’s likeness stands 50 feet tall and is covered by over 450,000 mosaic tiles. In front of the statue lies the LAKE OF HOPE, surrounded by the world’s largest illuminated fifteen-decade rosary. At night, the view is awe-inspiring as the beads light up the night sky.

Sugar Lake Lodge is a 135 acre estate with a seven acre private lake surrounded by Lake County Metro Parks. It features a gorgeous 6,700 square foot lodge & event center with an 1,800 square ft. private suite fully equipped with kitchen, fire place, and elegant bathroom all with a slight rustic feel. The Place has wonderful memories waiting for you. We open our home to the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in our master suite. We also have a room for the groomsmen to get ready in once they arrive, with a flat screen TV, mini-fridge, couch, and arcade basketball. Have your ceremony next to the water, in front of the barn, down by the stream, or inside with beautiful sliding barn doors as your back drop and large pine beams overhead. Six generations of the Patterson family in Chesterland have played their part in connecting people with where their food comes from. Originally built in the early 1900s for luxury faucet manufacturing, the 22,000 square foot warehouse sat empty for decades.
