Ryan was the most professional and helpful person during our entire wedding process. He also took our engement photos. All of the photos turned out so immaculate it's hard to even put into words. What I was most impressed with though, is how in depth and thorough he was during the planning process. He really doesn't want to miss anything. It's the attention to detail that makes him such a great photographer. I Can't reccomond him more!

What you see is what you get. No fancy job titles, no big company, no outsourcing editing. My approach is always to capture the authenticity of the story unfolding before me. From the brief glimpse of a tear in a groom's eye as his bride walks down the aisle, the split-second stillness of a toddler, or the tender moments between a new husband and wife. I strive to create images that tell stories. Images that age like fine wine and make you feel exactly how you felt on your wedding day. It's about the little moments, the ones that happen in-between, it's about the connection, the laughs, the tears….it’s what makes your story…yours.

Daniel is theee man! I honestly don't have the words to fully describe how well he captured our wedding weekend. My husband and I planned our New Orleans destination wedding from the Midwest, & relied heavily on social media to select our vendors. That comes with a ton of uncertainty, but we fell in love with Daniel the first time we talked to him on the phone. His energy is so dope, such a down to earth dude. He and Jazmin are a complete VIBE. They treated us like family & the photos definitely reflect that sentiment. We get to look back on the most amazing weekend for years to come, and we’re so grateful to Daniel & Jazmin. Much love! - The Wesleys

The Swansons communicated very efficiently and timely. They were on time and ready when we arrived. This was the most fun I ever had during a photoshoot. It was the first shoot we had in about 5 years but definitely won't be the last. They were quick and only asked that we be ourselves. We enjoyed every minute.

Hiring Rae as our photographer was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. Her photography style is breathtaking, and her attention to detail perfectly captured our vision. When we shared a few of her photos with our guests afterward, many commented on how she has an “incredible eye"! Beyond her artistic talent, Rae was such a joy to work with—professional yet lighthearted, and incredibly dedicated to capturing every important moment. She ensured we got all of the family shots and details we wanted captured during our special day. We also used Rae for our engagement photos and bridal portraits, and we have so many favorites that we’re honestly going to need more wall space to frame them all! Highly recommend Rae to any couple looking for a photographer who truly goes above and beyond.

Awarded Best of Zola
Planning a wedding from afar is a real pain, and I was looking for companies who did more than a single service. After reading reviews and speaking with the owner, I locked North Productions for all the services they offer. I did not meet Bryan or anyone until my wedding day. We all hit it off instantly. We had talked on the phone for months prior to my day, but it was nice to finally put a face to the voice. Everyone loved him. He did make fun of my husband on more than a few occasions, but it was done tactfully and got my man smiling. Those are the best pixs from the whole night. The video was spectacular and showed everything I had missed and something I wished never happened---me falling flat on my face while dancing. Bryan asked if I wanted that on the video and I was like yes, I want it all. My flowers were roses and peonies and were red and a pink. My venue is already decorated so I did not need anything else. Simple and very elegant. For anyone looking for one vendor who does it all, north photo, video and floral does..

I'm Marcia, a full-time elopement wedding photographer based in New Orleans. I'm here to help you navigate through all the overwhelming options of getting married in New Orleans. Visual Society
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)

My name is Kelsey and I want to take your picture! With my father being a photographer of 30+ years, I befriended the camera at the young age of three. I fell in love with how one photo captures a moment that forever brings us back in time over and over again. How precious it is to relive a special moment or day in time! It's been five years since I began pursuing photography. I founded my business on three principles: versatility, diversity and authenticity! It's these three principles that help me cultivate photos that mean something.

From our first conversation, the team at Visual Society put us at ease with their efficient and friendly communication style. On our wedding day, they seamlessly captured all the beautiful, special moments without ever being intrusive. The final photos are breathtaking - they truly have an eye for highlighting the most gorgeous aspects of our celebration. I would book Visual Society again in a heartbeat, and cannot recommend them highly enough to any couple looking for a talented, professional photography team to document their big day.

Andrew Alwert Studios
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Westwego, LA

Andrew Alwert Studios is a professional photography studio. Our mission is to create timeless art through a documentary-style approach using medium format film and digital photography. We produce colorful content and enjoy connecting with every client we work with on a personal and professional level.

Andrew isn’t just a photographer—he’s an artist, a professional, and someone who became a true friend throughout our wedding journey. We originally hired Andrew as part of our New Orleans wedding dream team. I found him by going through tagged photos of our original venue—while most looked similar (lots of light and airy styles), every time a photo stood out to me as creative, candid, moody, or just flat-out cool… it was always one of Andrew’s. I knew I had to have him. I was thrilled when he was available for our big day—and even more blown away when he was excited to pivot with us when our plans completely changed. After we found out we were expecting a baby—and due the same week as our NOLA wedding—we made the tough decision to cancel the original event. We rescheduled everything on a tight timeline and relocated the wedding to Massachusetts. Andrew didn’t hesitate. He was all in, genuinely enthusiastic, and just as committed to making the new plan feel special. He made the long trip to MA with the most positive energy and attitude, and from start to finish, he made the process so fun. He and my planner Donna instantly clicked—they truly partnered up and helped bring our reimagined wedding to life. Watching them work together felt like magic. Andrew’s photography style is incredible. He has such range—editorial, moody, candid, light and airy—he blends them in a way that feels completely unique. His shots never feel staged or predictable; they’re emotional, rich, and full of life. He gave us just enough direction to get gorgeous, creative shots, while also encouraging us to interact naturally. It was the perfect balance. My husband hates taking pictures—he’s normally wide-eyed and frozen or giving a fake smile. But Andrew completely changed that. He made him feel relaxed and confident, and the difference in the photos was unreal. Every shot looked natural and joyful. We did both our engagement shoot and wedding with Andrew, and my husband—who initially grumbled about even hiring a photographer—ended up loving working with him. On top of all that, Andrew was incredibly professional, communicative, and responsive the entire way through. And somehow, despite all the stress of replanning a wedding in 12 weeks, he kept us grounded and laughing the whole time. One of my favorite moments he captured was this Beatles-style shot of us crossing the street—it was creative, playful, and so us. Everyone who’s seen it has commented on how cool it is. Andrew didn’t just deliver photos—he delivered art and a genuinely amazing experience. I can’t imagine having had anyone else by our side. Book him while you can.

We're Alyse & Ben, and we are SO happy that you're here! As a husband and wife photography duo, we are honored to be a part of the beginning of your lives together. When we're not photographing weddings, you can probably find us planning our next adventure together. We both grew up in South America and LOVE traveling the world! If you're dreaming of a destination wedding or session, or even one close to home, let's make that happen!

Alyse and Ben are an absolute dream — truly the BEST decision we made for our wedding day! As a super Type A and detail-obsessed bride, I met with several photographers before booking, and no one came close to the connection we felt with them. From our first conversation, it was clear how deeply they care about their couples — not just about capturing beautiful photos (which they absolutely do), but about really getting to know you and your story. They brought so much warmth, kindness, and heart to the entire process. We felt so supported every step of the way, and come wedding day, they were such a calming and joyful presence. Their light, bright, romantic style was everything we dreamed of for our garden-inspired wedding — and the photos are beyond stunning. Every shot feels full of life, emotion, and love. Not to mention, they got us some beautiful sneak peek photos of the wedding less than a week later!! We also adored the husband-and-wife dynamic. My husband especially loved working with Ben, and it was so fun having both of them there guiding us with ease and genuine excitement. Alyse and Ben made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and captured us exactly as we are. We are endlessly grateful to them and could not recommend them more — book them, and prepare to be obsessed with your photos forever!

I’m still in awe when I look at our wedding pictures. They truly managed to capture the emotion of the day, from the nervous smiles before the ceremony to the crazy dance floor at the end of the night. The colors are vivid but still natural, which is exactly what I wanted. The video is so beautifully done that my best friend said it looked like a professional short film. They really understood the flow of the day and positioned themselves so well without being in the way. Communication was always clear, and they were incredibly reliable. I never felt stressed about the photos once they were in charge. They even sent us a few preview shots the next day, which was such a nice touch. Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.

Canyon & Pine: Wedding Photography + Films
Rating: 5.0 (25 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $1,700
  • Serves Westwego, LA

Emma & her team have been photographing weddings for 13 years, building Canyon & Pine as a husband-and-wife studio rooted in experience. Before weddings, Emma worked as a photojournalist — a background that still shapes the way she sees a wedding day unfold: quickly, intuitively, and with an eye for the moments that matter long after the cake is gone. Their work balances artful candids with guided portraits that feel natural, romantic, and genuinely fun. The editing is timeless, and the priority is always the same: the people. Parents. Grandparents. Best friends. The faces you’ll want framed when the years start to stack up.

Awarded Best of Zola
Where do I even begin? Hiring Emma (and the Canyon & Pine team) was, without question, one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the first message, Emma made us feel seen, understood, and genuinely cared for—not just as clients, but as people. Her warmth, clarity, and professionalism stood out right away. She was never pushy or salesy—just honest, open, and full of heart. You can feel how much she loves what she does, and that passion shines through every step of the way. Planning with her was such a gift. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, asked thoughtful questions, and helped build a timeline that felt intentional and realistic. We had no idea how much a great photographer could shape the rhythm of the day, but Emma guided us with total ease. She helped us make decisions we didn’t even know we needed to make—like the best time for a first look or how to slip away for sunset portraits without missing the dance floor. Every call and email left us feeling more prepared and genuinely excited. She was organized without being rigid, confident without being controlling, and always a joy to talk to. Her communication was flawless—fast responses, clear expectations, and tons of insight from someone who truly knows weddings inside and out. On the day itself, she was pure magic. She showed up calm, ready, and creative. She struck this beautiful balance between leading and stepping back—giving just enough direction to help us feel confident in front of the camera (and we are not camera people), while still letting real, candid moments unfold. Nothing felt forced. Just natural and authentic and beautifully captured. There’s a steadiness to her presence that put everyone at ease—not just us, but our families, wedding party, and even the more chaotic guests. She got beautiful portraits of our parents, caught blink-and-you-miss-it moments with our friends, and wrangled our huge, goofy bridal party without breaking a sweat. Her team was just as wonderful—kind, professional, totally in sync. You can tell they’re not just skilled, but genuinely care. And then the gallery arrived. I’m not exaggerating—we screamed. Every photo was stunning—true to color, thoughtfully composed, and full of emotion. We saw ourselves in these photos in a way we never have before. They weren’t overly trendy or filtered. They were timeless, honest, vibrant, and full of life. You could feel the intention behind each frame—the lighting, the angles, the storytelling. She delivered everything with care and artistry, and the gallery was so easy to navigate and share. People haven’t stopped talking about our photos. We’ve had so many guests tell us they’re some of the best they’ve ever seen—and we agree. More than anything, Emma is just an incredible human. Kind, thoughtful, funny—she pours her heart into every wedding she takes on. We never felt like “just another client.” She treated our day with the same care and intention we did, and that made all the difference. If you’re on the fence—don’t be. Book her. Book her yesterday. You’re not just hiring someone to take pretty pictures. You’re bringing in someone who will support you, advocate for you, and create heirlooms you’ll treasure for the rest of your life. We’re forever grateful. Thank you, Emma.
