We live to travel, see new places, meet new people, experience new things - as long as there is pizza and wine, of course! I'd say my photography style would be something along the lines of "lifestyle photography". [That means that posing you in silly ways that seem fake / awkward isn't really my jam.] I mean, unless that gets some snuggles & laughs. I'm ALLLL about that. I like to capture REAL life with REAL emotions and REAL smiles. Your session should be relaxed and fun. [All while I get some kick-ass photos!] I will most likely make a giant fool of myself at your session, so you'll feel like a professional. I sing, trip, laugh, make noises, mention inappropriate things, show my nerdiness. AKA YOU'RE GOING TO DO JUST FINE.

I spent my childhood summers on Cape Cod, lived in the mountains and now on the coast of Maine and called Nantucket Island home for just over eight years. I have fallen in love with the charm of New England and capturing the beauty and character that lies in these small towns and bustling summer communities. I'm a New Hampshire Wedding + Portrait photographer primarily serving the New England area. I started my photography career in 2013. As a photographer, I've become intimately acquainted with my clients which have lead to great relationships and even better friends. Photography is apart of my lifestyle. When I'm not behind my camera, I'm spending time with my High School Sweetheart, my beautiful daughter and two adorable Chocolate Labradors.

I want to capture it all on your big day. From the moments of you putting your dress to the tears running down your face as you read your vows to each other. To the first kiss and “OMG you’re my spouse now!!” feels. To the unexpected Taco Bell run you make after the ceremony or your grandparents getting down on the dance floor. Being able to grab the moments for you to hold to forever, is such a rewarding humbling job for me.

Capture the North was founded by multi-award-winning, and published photographer Sarah K. Marshall, and her husband, Christopher Marshall. Both are Marine Corps veterans and native New Englanders. Despite traveling across the world while serving in the Marine Corps, there is still something so magical about the New England area for them. Sarah was named Department of Defense Military Photographer of the Year 2020, and Marine Corps Photographer of the Year 2020 + 2021. Her work has been displayed in the National Museum of the Marine Corps and her imagery was the cover art of Leatherneck Magazine.
