Hey, I’m Val, wedding photographer for the rule-breakers and the “we’re doing it our way” kind of couples. If you’re ditching the traditions that don’t fit and building a day that actually feels like you, I’m all in. I capture the real, raw, emotional stuff with a dark and moody twist. No fake smiles. No cookie-cutter poses. Just your story—unfiltered and unforgettable.
I love playing with light. Whether it's just good ole fashion natural light or creating a dramatic night portrait with strobes, I like to create something unique for every couple. It's important to me that I make art that my client's will hang on their walls forever.

Personable, easy going, adventurous photographer
Val Bozzi Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding day. From our first interaction, she was quick to respond, personable, and easy to communicate with, putting us at ease right away. Their photography style is emotional, fun, goofy, and completely natural - they captured all the special moments and little details that made our day so unique and memorable. We tend to be goody awkward people and told Val to give us some directions so weren't so awkward in pictures and she did the perfect job of giving us small cues but let us be "us." Which resulted in the most stunning, authentic photos that we'll cherish forever. We can't recommend Val Bozzi Photography highly enough!

Val is amazing

She was present and proactively communicative every step of the way from the engagement shoot through the wedding, and she kept my family calm during multiple weather and scheduling changes. The most organized wedding vendor we had!
Val was absolutely amazing! We booked her for July 2023 and she just blew us away. She was so professional, organized, and helpful throughout the entire process and we are so happy with our photos! We love the moodier romantic vibe compared to bright Bright colors so she was perfect! Her check in cadence leading up to the wedding is awesome too and she has great forms you fill out to make sure she understand exactly what your vision is. She nailed it! We would definitely recommend her to others!

Just Hire Her!
Val was, quite simply, amazing. We booked her for our wedding because we loved her contrasty, color-rich photography style and her composition was on point in her gallery - her use of light is stunning. Our engagement session was fun and she got, out of two people who consider themselves completely unphotogenic, beautiful pictures that capture our relationship, our love, and joy we experience when we are in each other's presence. It's like she can somehow take a picture of what you feel in your heart, not just how you look. I actually cried when I saw that gallery since she'd - in one session - undone years of anxiety around what I look like on film. I am blind in one eye and am older. When I was interviewing photographers, Val stood out as one who understood my concerns and she spoke of working with other brides with similar concerns while simultaneously celebrating my 'asymmetry' and life experience. In our sessions, she kept this in mind and seamlessly positioned me or suggested poses that would capture me best and, where needed, judiciously applied photo editing. Val was personally invested in our story and who we were as people and was consistently helpful throughout our wedding planning and wedding day. Val's excitement for us was genuine and I think that really matters when when you trust someone to capture your event. It felt like we were hanging out with a good friend during our photo sessions. Everyone who sees our pictures remarks on how gorgeous the photos are and how wonderful we look - including West Coast friends I have who are wedding photographers themselves! I think it says something that as our wedding day wrapped up, I began hatching ideas for ways to work with Val again - maybe a family photo session? 1-year anniversary session? I will not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a photographer.
