The now "annual" Stissing House Craft Feast has made holiday shopping fun, festive, inspiring and very low stress. From the minute you step into their signature green door, you feel transformed to another time. And suddenly the only reason to have a cell phone is to take photos of every incredibly gorgeous vignette. You have no choice but to be present and to indulge the senses as you take each step through the maze of decorated display and historic architecture. Carolers, trays of wonderful treats and smells and smiles all made for the most perfect and unique experience. The event was so seamless organized and curated. Hats off to Clare and Katie and the team!!! A personal thank you to them for the endless hours that it took to bring this amazing community event to our valley for all of us to enjoy. You made my Christmas season (yet again!).

Working with the team at the Ethan Allen hotel was so easy. They made our special day as stress free as possible. Joseph was so responsive and helped with all of my questions throughout the process from start to finish. Minnie also was so great with getting the hotel room block set. The banquet manager Greg made everything run smoothly the day of. The space really transformed for our wedding and was so affordable for amazing quality. Food also was delish! Our photographer was also able to get some really beautiful photos inside and outside of the hotel for some really unique shots that we love! The Ethan Allen is your one place for everything !!

In addition to the staff, the venue and surrounding area speaks for itself. As a videographer, having a venue that has beautiful surroundings and visually pleasing areas is a MUST. TPC has a beautiful ceremony site that overlooks the stunning fairways of their golf course with trees, lakes, and gorgeous sunsets. These views double as the perfect spot to take couples for portraits and family sessions. The overall experience that you will find at TPC is unmatched and I am always excited when I see their name on my wedding schedule.

Weeks later, we're still absolutely gushing over the Mansion! It was the perfect venue for our wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to luxurious facilities, not to mention the stunning views. We had the pleasure of working with Alexandra(Alex) we could not have asked for a better person! Alex knew all of our family members and bridal party’s names, and was extremely personable. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of all night. She brought me a snack before the ceremony and continuously brought me my water all day and night (without me asking)They truly make you feel like a VIP throughout your entire day and their top notch team(along with our caterer David Alan) ensured that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. In the early stages of planning we worked with Jessica Hess and she is extremely helpful and communicative. The mansion truly felt like home for the day. We hosted our ceremony on the vista , cocktail hour was on the terrace, and we had dinner in the East ballroom. Guests were in awe of the estate (we also lucked out with absolutely perfect weather), and how every detail was perfectly executed. Our special day was truly a dream and felt like it was out of a movie! We could not recommend the Wadsworth Mansion enough, and can't wait to return for future celebrations. It's definitely well-worth the investment and would 10/10 recommend hosting your special day here! They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! The Basilica is a one-of-a-kind space. If you are trying to avoid having a cookie-cutter wedding, this is the place for you. The staff has seen this venue set up in MANY different ways and can make anything you imagine come to life. I was really worried about being able to turn a blank space into my dream night but they made it happen easily. I'll never forget the feeling of seeing it all set up for the first time. If you want a PARTY, book this venue. They have multiple rooms at this venue you can book depending on your headcount. We booked the Majestic Room on the top floor for 75 people. They also have the Swan Room that can fit over 150 people or something like that. The whole second floor was dedicated to our event. Here are some of the features it had that just makes sense functionally: we had a bridal suite that fit our whole bridal party and parents, an elevator since it was on the second floor, a grand staircase, our own bathrooms and bar separate from the downstairs area, a built-in dance floor, and a welcome landing. We had to bring minimal decorations, like centerpieces and such. They provide table settings, everything in the bar, name cards, and table numbers. We suggest finding a vendor for uplighting. Our DJ provided it for us and made the room look amazing. The food is fancy and delicious. In the days that followed our reception, we received compliments about the entrees and passed hors d’oeuvres. They are plated like an inspired high-end restaurant. We had an open bar and everyone was very pleased with the service. TLDR: these people know what they’re doing. The space is BUILT for weddings, not retrofitted, and it shows. The service is WHITE GLOVE and the food will impress your guests. Book this venue!

From the beginning planning stages, Hattie, Lauren, Kelley, everyone was so incredibly responsive, helpful and answered a million questions from myself or my mom. They worked with us to ensure everything was perfect, and we could not have had a more elegant wedding without the help of the entire venue staff. From day of Rob and everyone who assisted made sure things ran so smoothly. One of our busses was delayed due to traffic (Memorial Day Weekend- no surprise there) & even with the minor inconvenience the staff made sure that things ran so smoothly that myself (the bride) and my guests really had no clue things were pushed back a tiny bit. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccable. We had our cocktail hour both inside & outside and adding a second bar was ideal. We added a sushi bar, and my guests are still talking about how delicious it was. They accommodated all of our requests with ease, and I wish I could relive the day and night over and over again. All of my vendors informed me during the planning process just how professional and wonderful the venue is, and it could not be more true. They all worked seamlessly with Riverhouse. Our personal attendants were wonderful, ensuring myself and my husband had the best day and night of our lives. Most venues do not offer suites for grooms, and I am so happy that the men were able to have their own place to relax and hangout. our bridal suite was prepared perfectly for us with champagne snacks and everything we needed. Quality service is hard to come by these days, but every single staff member working at our wedding went above and beyond to make sure my husband, myself and my guests had an incredible night. My guests are still raving weeks later about the wedding. I could not recommend this venue and the entire staff enough, get married here!!! Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.
