    Might Not be Worth the Savings

    To start with the positives: the rooms were clean, breakfast was average, and it's located in a convenient location. Some rooms had issues with things like TV not working, or the shower not functioning properly. (Both of which were quickly fixed once the front desk was alerted.) We booked our room block here because they offered a rate of 125/night, which was better than a lot of places in the area. For the negatives: their website is difficult for guests to navigate, so many people couldn't figure out how to enter the room block code. We heard from over 10 couples that they had issues with getting ahold of someone on the phone, or they had to explain repeatedly that they wanted to book a room in a room block. Some people tried to book online and the system told them that we were out of rooms in our room block - but we never reached anything close to the room cap. A week before the wedding, we were sent a list of booked rooms in the block, and there were only 7 couples on there. We had a lot of family coming from far away so we knew that wasn't the right amount. They canceled someone's room without their direction, double booked one of my bridesmaids, and had 3 rooms booked under my husband instead of 2. We had to contact all of our guests to see who booked a room so that we could provide a complete list for the hotel. We ended up with about 17 couples booked in the hotel who all wouldn't have gotten the discounted rate otherwise. And on top of it all, there was a 30-45 minute wait for our rooms when we tried to check in at 3 because so many hadn't been cleaned yet. We had to rush to get ready for our wedding rehearsal, which started at 4:30 and was half an hour away. If you have the patience to navigate all this, it's a decent option. But I was honestly surprised that a hotel had so many issues with a room block, which I thought was a standard hotel offering.

    Wedding

    Working with the team at the Ethan Allen hotel was so easy. They made our special day as stress free as possible. Joseph was so responsive and helped with all of my questions throughout the process from start to finish. Minnie also was so great with getting the hotel room block set. The banquet manager Greg made everything run smoothly the day of. The space really transformed for our wedding and was so affordable for amazing quality. Food also was delish! Our photographer was also able to get some really beautiful photos inside and outside of the hotel for some really unique shots that we love! The Ethan Allen is your one place for everything !!
