The Blooming Twig Floral Design
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,000
  • Serves Washington, DC

We are a couture floral design company based in the Washington, DC Metro. Our talented designers are dedicated to elevating celebratory experiences with exquisitely chic floral designs for our clients. We work collaboratively with our wedding couples to ensure that every element of each couple's design is crafted with their love stories in mind. Our wedding packages include a wide variety of floral arrangements that add exquisite beauty to our clients’ event spaces. Using premium-quality florals, our designers ensure that every creation elegantly balances colors and style for a unique, eye-catching work of art!

I highly recommend this vendor (The Blooming Twig) for all decorating needs. For my wedding, Trysh made multiple visits to the venue to measure and ensure proper placements of all decor. She listened and did not recoil or back down when I made some challenging requests. On the day of the wedding we had to pivot and change the ceremony from outside to inside, due to weather. The venue did not allow her the time needed to get everything done, but she got it done in spite of. She brought all of my ideas and pictured examples to fruition, creating an absolutely beautiful look.

Homayra is an incredible artist and I am so happy that I found her. I was immediately blown away by photos of her beautiful work when I was looking for a floral designer for my wedding in DC. I wanted to incorporate spring/summer colors into my wedding but I am not creative at all, so I was relying on Homayra to tie things together, and she absolutely nailed it! She created a vision board after we talked about what I was looking for, and I was amazed to see what she produced. She was flexible, very responsive, and accommodating when we made a few adjustments to the arrangements as the wedding day drew closer. Cut to the day of the wedding - my bridesmaids’ bouquets were set up in the bridal suite and they were stunning! The way that Homayra was able to incorporate the different colors and floral textures so seamlessly far surpassed what I could have ever imagined. The drapery and flowers on the ceremony and the reception centerpieces were exquisite. Everything came together so amazingly - our guests were raving about the gorgeous arrangements and decor. Thank you so much for making our day so beautiful, Homayra. You are truly talented, knowledgeable, and creative!

OMG! I absolutely love Katy. From the initial appointment to determine what our vision was for the wedding and reception decor, I felt very at ease with Katy. Katy took great care to try and learn what my vision was for the wedding and how to use her expertise to create what I wanted. I liked that - and this enabled us to truly create a custom one of a kind look for our big day. Katy was kind, accommodating and responsive to emails, texts and phone calls. I would bounce things off of Katy and without hesitation, she would first clarify what my vision was, and then add her input based on her expert eye for detail, color coordination, etc. On the day of my wedding, I broke down into tears at the beautiful, dreamy atmosphere that Katy and her team had created for my spouse and I. It was literally everything thing I had dreamed of; it had the glitz, glamour, bling, sparkle, romance and more than I wanted. Katy even added touches here and there that she felt were needed to add more beauty to the venue. She exercised her creative rights. My guests could not and have not stopped talking about the beauty of it all. Additionally, a few days before the wedding, I was not pleased with a mock up of my bouquet (provided by another vendor) - and Katy to the rescue! Within about 3-4 business days, Katy and her staff PERSONALLY delivered the most beautiful, sparkling bouquet that I have ever seen (along with a jr. bouquet and corsages). She made it her business to make me happy. I am truly sad that I won't be talking to Katy as much any more since the wedding is now over. Katy delivered on ALLLLLLL levels and I can't say enough about her. Thank you soo much Katy. You will forever be a better part of our memories. If you have the pleasure to work with Katy, you will not be disappointed, I promise you. I really felt that Katy put her heart into this....and the results show it.

Woodland Floral Design Co.
Rating: 5.0 (78 reviews)
  • Serves Washington, DC

Proud Cat & Dog Mom // Your New Wedding Vendor BFF It’s never been just about pretty flowers to me. I started out in social work because I wanted to serve and connect with others. I first entered the floral design world as an intern in 2016 and noticed a lack of originality in designs and a need for more connection between the florist and the couple. When I started WFD in 2019, I decided to prioritize both artistic designs and building long-term relationships with each couple. Planning my own wedding in 2021 gave me an even deeper appreciation for the importance of receiving creative expertise and genuine support from wedding vendors.

Misha was an absolute dream to work with while planning our wedding. From our very first meeting, she was kind, caring, and incredibly intuitive - she fully understood my vision from the start, even when I struggled to articulate my thoughts. Misha is extremely organized and thorough; we met several times to discuss vision changes and updates throughout the year. She has such a gentle, grounding energy that makes the whole planning process feel calm. When you work with Misha, you feel as though you are her only and top priority. Her love for the couple is palpable- you will never feel like you are just another client. She cares in a way that is genuine and effortless and is truly the salt of the earth. Misha's work is just as incredible as she is. She is a genuine artist doing exactly what she was made to do. The florals she created for us were absolutely beautiful, beyond anything I could’ve imagined. Guests were complimenting how beautiful they were all night! She was able to locally source my favorite flower and create the dreamiest, rich in color, fall arrangements. I am so infinitely grateful to have had Misha flower my wedding!

They walked us through the process seamlessly and the quality of their work was excellent. Bazarr Blossoms
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)

The pandemic served as a wake up call for me just like it did for so many others. Allowing me to rediscover my love for flowers and all things beautiful. Bazarr Blossoms is more than a business its a passion that allows me to stay true to that teenager who once created and dreamed inside that high school classroom.

Each piece was a work of art, capturing the essence of our style and the ambiance we wanted to create. The flowers were fresh, vibrant, and beautifully arranged, adding an unforgettable touch of elegance to our special day. What truly sets Bazarr apart, though, was her responsiveness and flexibility. Throughout the planning process, we had many changing ideas and evolving wants, and she handled everything with grace and patience. She listened carefully to our desires, offered invaluable suggestions, and adapted seamlessly to any adjustments we requested. Her professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction, making the planning process smooth, enjoyable, and stress free- what more can you ask for!! The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!
