Formed in 1911, the Woman's Club of Bethesda has been an active member of the Federation of Woman's Clubs. Our clubhouse was built in 1927 and has hosted countless community events, dances, and celebrations. We maintain the historic charm and character while offering all the modern day amenities. Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion is an elegant wedding venue in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Conveniently located just 9 miles from downtown DC, it resides on a private 40-acre nature sanctuary. Built in 1927, this historic location was designed by the renowned architect John Russell Pope, who also designed the Jefferson Memorial, DAR Constitution Hall, and the National Archives Building. Environmentally conscious couples will appreciate this venue’s commitment to nature and wildlife preservation, offering a beautiful and sustainable setting for your special day. Part of the rental fee is tax-deductible.

The Cloisters Castle, located just outside of Baltimore, MD, reflects the beauty and grandeur of medieval Europe! The Cloisters is a historic home designed to look like a European castle, featuring delicately carved wood, exquisitely detailed stained glass, and ornately designed wrought iron, much of which was sourced from European castles. There are multiple indoor and outdoor locations for your ceremony and reception. Several movies have been filmed here, including Cry Baby with Johnny Depp, and Will Smith and Jada Pinkett were married here on New Years' Eve in 1997!

Belmont Manor is a restored 1738 era historic site with extensive gardens and outbuildings, perfect for the quintessential garden wedding. We are considered an outdoor venue. Nestled on 68 acres of rolling green hills, this 18th Century property offers warm hospitality. Belmont Manor is a Howard County Park. Howard County Recreation and Park guidelines apply that are different from privately owned venues. The Park provides the location and property amenities while the Permit Holder provides all vendors, including an approved full-service Caterer and Wedding Coordinator.

Lovely Lane—while serving an active congregation—has hosted public groups for decades at our mid-Baltimore heritage site location. Yet, our space had limitations until recently. Modern amenities have been added since 2020 to improve the visitor experience and increase public use of our historic building.
