Formed in 1911, the Woman's Club of Bethesda has been an active member of the Federation of Woman's Clubs. Our clubhouse was built in 1927 and has hosted countless community events, dances, and celebrations. We maintain the historic charm and character while offering all the modern day amenities. Sylvanside Farm, established in 1744, evokes the ambiance of a small village in the European countryside. In 2018, the farm was purchased and restored to its former glory. The goal in hosting weddings is to preserve this special land, Loudoun’s rich farming heritage and the beautiful rural landscape of Loudoun County, Virginia.

Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion is an elegant wedding venue in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Conveniently located just 9 miles from downtown DC, it resides on a private 40-acre nature sanctuary. Built in 1927, this historic location was designed by the renowned architect John Russell Pope, who also designed the Jefferson Memorial, DAR Constitution Hall, and the National Archives Building. Environmentally conscious couples will appreciate this venue’s commitment to nature and wildlife preservation, offering a beautiful and sustainable setting for your special day. Part of the rental fee is tax-deductible.

This historic Greek Revival-Style farmhouse has been updated throughout the years but still retains its historic charm, making it a perfect venue for your special day. The surrounding grounds also provide a unique and beautiful addition to any celebration. The Mansion's picturesque architecture and outdoor space is guaranteed to be the perfect location for your intimate wedding!

Your dedicated planning team will take care of all the heavy lifting when it comes to planning your wedding day. From floor plans to timelines, we have you covered. We want it to be your choice on how hands on (or off) you want to be. We understand that you have lives, jobs, friends, and the typical wedding takes about 500 hours to plan start to finish for a non-professional first timer! ​You will have access to your dedicated coordinator and planning team from booking to your farewells to ensure every detail you envisioned will be taken care of on your special day. Your personal on-site day of coordinator and bridal hostess will be with you throughout your event to assist with anything you may need.

Lovely Lane—while serving an active congregation—has hosted public groups for decades at our mid-Baltimore heritage site location. Yet, our space had limitations until recently. Modern amenities have been added since 2020 to improve the visitor experience and increase public use of our historic building. These amenities include: ADA-compliant street-front access ramp into building Four additional gender-neutral restrooms on main floor Air conditioning with fresh air mixing component in Fellowship Hall space

People travel far and wide to visit historic Westminster Hall, the Burying Grounds and Catacombs. Guests have the opportunity to explore one of Baltimore’s oldest cemeteries which contains tombs of prominent political, military and business leaders, and the grave of Edgar Allan Poe! Westminster Hall, formerly a Presbyterian church has a unique combination of early Gothic Revival appearances, mixed with today’s modern conveniences. The restored Gothic church has elegant stained glass windows, carved oak woodwork and an 1882 Johnson pipe organ. People appreciate Westminster's prime location at the corner of Fayette and Greene Streets in downtown Baltimore. Immediately adjacent are the University of Maryland Baltimore, University of Maryland Medical Center, Maryland Bar Center, and Baltimore VA Medical Center. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the oldest investment bank in America (built in 1901) located in the heart of Baltimore’s historic Financial District, was restored and converted to an upscale venue. The restoration included the building’s original marble, oversized windows, a historically-accurate bar and a Tiffany dome.

The Andrew Mellon Auditorium stands, without question, among the very finest classical buildings in America. The gilded auditorium and lobbies are among the nation's most magnificent interiors. We are very proud of our farm; the charm of the treelined drive, the stone house, and the allure of photographs in front of the vintage car which has been in the family for generations. From the spacious bridal suite upstairs to the mancave downstairs there's so much more to the stone built colonial house than just great photo ops! The old walnut tree at the ceremony site is a gorgous backdrop to your vows with the rolling countryside and farmland of Maryland completing the perfect setting. Then reserve a sweet spot on the patio or inside the house for cocktails before dinner is served in the spacious tent. Complete with hardwood floor, the tent can accomodate up to 275 guests comfortably, and still has space for a large dance floor.
