We had the incredible honor of hosting our wedding at Zion Red Rock Villa on October 11th, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were completely captivated by the beauty of the property — the stunning red rock views, the peaceful surroundings, and the feeling that we were tucked away in our own little paradise. It’s one of those places that instantly takes your breath away and keeps surprising you with its charm at every turn. One of the biggest blessings was being able to host over 40 of our closest friends and family in the main home for four unforgettable days. That experience alone made our wedding feel so much more than just an event — it became a family reunion filled with laughter, late-night conversations, and unforgettable memories. The home itself is beautifully designed, spacious, and welcoming, making it easy for everyone to feel right at home from the very start. After the wedding, we hosted a big BBQ at the villa, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the entire weekend. The property’s outdoor spaces are perfect for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the beauty of Zion together. Seeing our loved ones laughing, eating, and celebrating under the open desert sky was everything we’d dreamed of and more. We also can’t say enough about Andrea, the property manager. From our very first conversation to the moment we checked out, she was incredibly caring, responsive, and thoughtful. Andrea truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of and that we felt supported every step of the way. Her kindness and communication made the entire planning process so smooth and stress-free. And of course, a huge shoutout to the maintenance crew, who were nothing short of amazing. They were always quick to lend a hand, and it was clear how much pride they take in keeping the property in perfect condition. Mike, in particular, stood out for his friendliness, hard work, and willingness to help with anything we needed — he was truly awesome and made such a positive impact on our stay. We wanted our wedding to feel like an event that brought everyone together, something filled with connection, joy, and love — and Zion Red Rock Villa delivered that beyond our wildest dreams. It was the perfect balance of elegance, comfort, and natural beauty. We will cherish those four days forever and can’t recommend this incredible property — and the amazing team behind it — highly enough. If you’re looking for a place where unforgettable memories are made, Zion Red Rock Villa is it. Memorial House At Memory Grove Park

5.0

Salt Lake City, UT
  • Up to 150 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Offer

The area which now comprises Memory Grove Park was set aside as a city park in 1902. The park however, remained unimproved until the 1920s when the women of the Salt Lake chapter of the Service Star Legion asked the city to designate the park as a memorial honoring America's soldiers and spearheaded the planting of trees and placement of monuments in the park. Memorial House was constructed around 1890 as a stable and equipment storage shed for contractor Patrick J. Moran. When Salt Lake City acquired the park area in 1902, the city's water department used the building as their barn, tool shed, and blacksmith shop as it was located directly across from the city's water intake structure on City Creek. In 1926, Salt Lake City leased the building to the Service Star Legion which planned to use it for veteran's activities and they renovated it to become an events center, there have been weddings held at Memorial House ever since. Now operated by Preservation Utah.

If I could give Hobble Creek Events Center a constellation of stars, it would still fall short of expressing our gratitude and awe for this exquisite venue and its unparalleled service. From the moment we stepped onto the grounds, we knew we had found a gem nestled in the heart of a winter wonderland. The location is truly idyllic, with snow-dusted mountains cradling the venue in their serene embrace. The crisp winter air and breathtaking views provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding reception—a scene so picturesque it felt as though we had stepped into a dream. Inside, the venue's cozy setup radiated warmth and charm, creating an intimate and magical atmosphere for celebrating love. The star of our experience, however, was Spencer, the event coordinator. From the first interaction to the final farewell, Spencer's attention to detail, warmth, and professionalism left us in awe. She walked us through every step of the planning process with a grace that put our hearts at ease. Every question, every concern—whether anticipated or unexpected—was met with thoughtful, reassuring answers. Spencer seemed to have an uncanny ability to anticipate our needs before we even voiced them, ensuring that every detail was perfect. On the night of our reception, Spencer was nothing short of a maestro orchestrating a flawless symphony. Her quick communication and seamless coordination allowed us to focus solely on the joy of the moment, free from stress or worry. It was as though she had sprinkled the entire evening with a touch of magic, ensuring that everything unfolded effortlessly. While the venue’s affordability was a pleasant surprise, it was the way we felt throughout the entire experience that truly set Hobble Creek Events Center apart. We weren’t just clients; we were treated like family, with every effort made to ensure our celebration was as special and unique as our love story. If you are searching for a venue that combines natural beauty, impeccable service, and a genuine commitment to making your event unforgettable, look no further. We booked Alta lodge for our destination wedding a year ago. Misti, the wedding coordinator was in contact with me the whole time and was so helpful at helping me plan! She responded quickly and was very patient in answering my thousands of questions. We didn’t go to the lodge until our wedding weekend and hadn’t tried any of the food so we had faith that everything would live up to our expectations. We booked the lodge for the whole weekend and had access to it exclusively, we had a welcome dinner, the wedding and then a farewell brunch. When we got there, we were blown away by the view, it is absolutely beautiful and photos don’t do it justice! The food throughout the weekend was delicious and we got a ton of compliments about our choices. The day of the wedding, Misti and her team took over completely and set everything up, coordinated with the vendors, helped decorate, etc. They took care of everything so we could sit back and enjoy the day. Overall, it was a very low stress wedding weekend which was appreciated!! I have nothing but amazing things to say about Misti and her team. They were so friendly, helpful and the service was impeccable. We were very impressed with everyone there and how well they set up the wedding. If you are thinking about booking the lodge for your wedding, DO IT! It’s 1000% worth it! Thank you Alta lodge for everything!!!
