“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“Hiring DJ Benni as our wedding DJ was the best decision we made for our wedding! Benni was a game-changer for our special day! From the first consultation to monthly check-in’s, it was clear we were in expert hands. We shared our vision and DJ Benni shared his thoughts based on the weddings he has DJ for, and he saved us on making some big mistakes as we are new to this. His professionalism and attention to detail were impeccable. Benni let us customize as much or as little as we wanted and would constantly encourage us to do what we want and not cave to “wedding norms”. We ended up having a classical version of Lord of the Rings as the processional and Top Gun Theme song as the recessional, our dog was our flower girl, and DJ Benni rocked every step of the way! We had a tool to help us build out the timeline/flow of our wedding from start to finish. This allowed our DJ to know exactly what to do, and when. And in the case of an emergency if our DJ couldn’t make it, a sub could step in and execute. Which allowed me (bride) and the groom to enjoy the evening and not think about logistics. DJ Benni was also very flexible and easily adjusted on the fly for a few things too. The dance floor was always full, and DJ Benni played banger after banger! He asked us to create and share a playlist with songs we wanted played, the more the merrier, and to note our top ten “must play” songs. From there, he was able to understand the vibe we wanted, and he found songs that we didn’t think of that were major hits! My shy 10-year-old cousin was dancing and having the time of his life, and DJ Benni gave him his contact info and told him to call if he ever wanted to DJ. My cousin was over the moon and had the time of his life. DJ Benni also skillfully read the room, adjusting the music to keep the energy high throughout the night. The sound quality was top-notch, and the equipment setup was sleek and unobtrusive. They also provided excellent MC services, making smooth transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, speeches, and dancing. His enthusiasm and charisma added an extra layer of excitement, making our wedding reception unforgettable. We received numerous compliments from our guests about the fantastic music and vibrant atmosphere. If you want a memorable wedding celebration, hiring DJ Benni is a must!”

“We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

He wasn’t just a part of our wedding day, he made our wedding day. From the very first moment to the very last song, he gave us something so magical, so unforgettable, that it still makes us emotional to think about. He was literally the heartbeat of our day. He played live cello pre ceremony for all the guests to enjoy that was truly so beautiful. But the live cello as I walked down the aisle is a memory etched into our hearts forever. It was more than music. It felt like the soundtrack to our love story, and it was the most beautiful beginning to the rest of our lives. Then, during cocktail hour, he transformed the atmosphere with looping, beatboxing, and cello in a way that left every single guest completely captivated. People couldn’t stop talking about it, and even now, they’re still telling us it was the most unique and breathtaking performance they’ve ever experienced at a wedding from start to finish. And then there was the saxophonist he brought in during the dance party. pure magic. Together, they created an energy that was electric, soulful, and overflowing with joy. They didn’t just entertain, they touched every heart in the room. Not only was he the most talented cello musician, he absolutely crushed the dance party and played non stop for 3:30 hours. Not one bad song or bad mix. It was absolutely incredible. But what truly sets him apart is how much heart he pours into what he does. Without us even knowing, he recorded our entire ceremony, our cocktail hour, our dance floor, and gifted us not just music, but memories. He allowed us to relive the most important day of our lives again and again. That level of thoughtfulness is beyond anything we could have imagined. Our wedding was perfect because of him. He exceeded every expectation and gave us more than we ever dreamed possible. He is, without question, the most talented, kind, and extraordinary musician and DJ we have ever met. If we could give him more than 5 stars, we would. “Our event went absolutely flawlessly with Billy and Jason at the helm. He was not only our DJ, but our lighting guy, pyrotechnics (with the cold sparks), MC, and day-of coordinator. I mean… Can you really ask for more? If we would have hired different vendors for all of those roles we’d have pay 4x the price. So for their Diamond package it was an absolute steal. Pricing aside, they absolutely slayed the dance floor and Billy was hysterical with jokes and fun games throughout the evening. Why are you even still reading? You should have already booked them!!”
