The inspiration behind Black Pearl Moments LLC traces back to our early fascination with the transformative power of a photograph. When I went to college I knew I wanted to have a career that allowed me to work with people and so I studied Social Work and Psychology! Photography was a hobby but when my friend found her self with no photographer days before her wedding, she asked if I could shoot her day and from the first wedding I was hooked! 11 years later and I think I have the best job on the planet. I have been married to the love of my life Jordan for 6 years now and she is the extra magic in Swiger Photography. We have a lil rescue pup named Furgie and spend our free time trying new bourbons and exploring Philadelphia!

Hi, Thanks for reading! Here's my photography short story: 2017, after 13 years of teaching, I said goodbye to the classroom and pursued Olympic weightlifting photography- my company was Everyday Lifters. Shortly after, I launched my wedding business. The Long Version: Weightlifting has taken me to places like Turkmenistan, Germany, & across the country! The weightlifters started getting married, and along the way, I received training to advocate for diverse bodies as a photographer. During this time of transition, I started taking documenting courses through the International Center of Photography and work on documenting local stories.
