“I first discovered Wedgewood Weddings while researching all inclusive venues in New England. I was surprised and delighted to see that they had their package pricing available on the website, the transparency and openness was an immediate green flag (and why I think the one star review here is completely unwarranted). You are able to price out your wedding with them before even walking through their doors, which is exactly what we did. We quickly reached out to schedule a tour! We were greeted warmly and shown the beautiful grounds at Fern Hill before talking about what package we would most be interested in. We chose the Premier Package, but everything is completely customizable within that. We left the tour with a copy of exactly what our wedding would cost and it didn’t take us long to decide that we wanted to move forward with Fern Hill. The all inclusivity of the venue is what puts Wedgewood over the top for excellence for us. In all my research, I couldn’t find any other venue that came ANYWHERE close to how all inclusive Wedgewood is. As a couple that has a hard time choosing what to have for dinner every night, we needed ease when it came to wedding planning. With Wedgewood we didn’t have to worry about finding a DJ, florist, caterer, or bakery. Beautiful invitation options are included, and the ones we chose allowed us to also add on extra decor and programs on top of that. They provided a lot of smaller decor necessities that saved us money and time (easels for signage, cake cutting utensils, baskets and boxes). The Bliss Benefits that are offered also saved us money on other expenses outside of what was already included. The best part is that your final cost is based off of your guest count, which can be changed up to 10 days before your wedding. When we had last minute declines, we were able to lower our final cost by hundreds of dollars. When we had another few declines happen after the 10 day mark, we were able to put that money towards adding lawn games on to our package. No money went to waste. Throughout the planning process, the team at Fern Hill answered any and all questions we had (no matter how small or seemingly silly). We were able to visit the venue multiple times through the year to be able to show our parents. When we decided to have a completely dry wedding, they were so excited for our signature mocktail ideas and helped us make that still fun and engaging for our guests. Rehearsal day could not have gone smoother. The entire team at Fern Hill are efficient, communicative, and just overall so good at their jobs. Wedding day was even better. We felt so taken care of and supported by the staff. The flow of the event was seamless, even when the schedule needed to shift for extra photo time. We received so many compliments on every aspect of the wedding; from the gorgeous ceremony space, the delicious food, the beautiful centerpieces, to how warm and kind the event staff was. We literally have zero complaints. We would highly recommend Fern Hill Barn, or any of the New England Wedgewood venues to anyone getting married. It was a completely stress free experience and has so much customization while still being all inclusive. We’re looking forward to being guests at a Wedgewood wedding in Colorado next year for one of my bridesmaids!”

“We found the Barn when searching for an all-inclusive yet customizable venue (so our wedding would feel like us), with good food and staff that would make the day feel seamless. LGBTQ friendly was a must. Ultimately, we’re so grateful we picked Gibbet Hill! Furthermore, having a daytime celebration allowed us to have the wedding we wanted within our budget. Overall, the Barn’s team was genuinely invested in making our vision come to life, and they more than delivered on our big day. From our very first intake and tour, we knew we were in good hands. Our planner, Bree, was with us from the beginning, answering every question with warmth and confidence that immediately put us at ease. Throughout the planning process she was professional, responsive, and just fun to work with. We also picked many of the Barn’s preferred vendors, who all spoke highly of one another so it was clear they had great experience and flow as a cross-vendor team. On the day itself, the entire Barn staff operated with a calming efficiency that made everything feel effortless. They had a grounding presence that kept us on track without ever making us feel rushed and that tone made an enormous difference. Our top notch team, including Bree, Sarah, Jess, and so many other amazing staff also helped with our dresses, carried our trains, drove us in a golf cart for photos, and took wonderful care of our guests throughout the reception (who commented on how well they were looked after). We even found out afterward that the team had helped our flower girl tend to a wasp sting during the festivities. That kind of attentiveness speaks volumes. Any issue that arose they handled with utmost professionalism. Also, the food was fantastic and we STILL get so many compliments from guests! Our personal goal as the couple was to enjoy the food and that we did. One highlight for us was also the “reserved for newlyweds” appetizer plate brought to us in the bridal suite. Such a thoughtful touch. We cannot recommend The Barn, Bree, and the entire team highly enough. If you’re looking for a venue where you’ll feel genuinely cared for from the first conversation to the final exit, this is the place. “I honestly can't say enough good things about Harrington Farm. From the first time we toured it until our wedding day, everything was amazing. Jess and the entire staff were incredible. “The Cambridge Boat Club was the perfect choice for our New England fall-themed wedding! It is an absolutely gorgeous location on the river with just the right amount of historic charm. We had originally considered going with all-inclusive venues, but ultimately opted for the flexibility we had with the CBC to craft our own vision. The venue features two distinct rooms, a larger room called the Drinkwater room, which can be used for the wedding dinner, the Club Room, which was used for cocktail hour and the dance floor, and a porch, which has a stunning view. The layout perfectly accommodated both the party enthusiasts and our more introverted guests, who preferred quieter spaces for rest and socialization away from the dance floor. Opting for this venue requires a more DIY approach compared to all-inclusive options. Since it is a historic building, there are some restrictions to be aware of, e.g. no sparklers or ceiling drapery, and existing wall decor generally need to stay on the wall. This was no issue for us since we had a clear vision for the wedding theme and decor, and enlisted the help of Tastings Catering (highly recommend, since they have previous experience working in this space and also handle some of the decor) and Designlight. Major shoutout to Katie Donnelly, the club manager at Cambridge Boat Club, who always responded in record time to all our inquiries and provided helpful guidance. With everyone's help, we were able to create the wedding of our dreams!”

When Shane and Wayne Bernard (Co-owners of Pica’s Pub and Grill est. 1939) were presented with the opportunity to expand next door into the building formerly occupied by Laschi’s Garden Center they jumped at it. They knew exactly what the area was missing and wanted to create a fun space with quality food, ice cream and a renovated greenhouse to hold private events and weddings to compliment their full service restaurant next door. Featuring several of their fan favorite items from next door, quality Italian Deli Sandwiches and Gifford’s Premium Ice Cream. “Before you read this lengthy review, the short answer is: YES, get married at the New England Aquarium! We started our search looking for venues and wanted something fun and unique. The Aquarium made it onto our list, and the prices were comparable to other venues—it wasn’t significantly more expensive than renting out a restaurant with food and drinks. We read every review possible before we had our first meeting and toured the venue. Our biggest concern was catering because there were some older reviews on The Knot about this being an issue. At our first meeting, not only was there a representative from the New England Aquarium, but also a representative from the catering company. This was definitely a green flag for us, and it sounds like the Aquarium took the older reviews seriously and transitioned to a new catering team. Throughout the planning process, the team was wonderful. They kept in touch via email, gave us clear deadlines, and answered all of our questions. We did have to get pre-approval for all of our centerpieces and anything else we were bringing into the Aquarium because of animal safety. This was not an issue for us and was a very straightforward process. A few months before the wedding, we also had our food and wine tasting. This was definitely one of the fun parts of the planning process because all we had to do was show up! We knew we wanted buffet stations instead of a plated dinner, so we told them which entrees we wanted to try. The Italian dishes were really great, along with all of the salads. We also had some suggestions for a customized Indian station, and the team took very detailed notes, which was a great sign that they were listening to what we wanted. Amanda Solomon was the person we worked with very closely as we got closer to our wedding date. The week before, she sent us encouraging messages and made sure everything was on track. On the day of the wedding, she and her team made sure the setup was done correctly and that everything was ready for us. We didn’t have a wedding ceremony at the Aquarium—just the reception. Cocktail hour was inside the Aquarium, while dinner and dancing were outside in the tent. Everyone absolutely raved about the venue! One thing we loved was that guests had options throughout the night. They could hang out in the tent and dance, go inside the Aquarium to see the animals, or walk along the harbor. It made the whole experience feel really unique and gave people plenty to do. People also said they really enjoyed the food, which was the only hesitation we had when touring potential venues. We were so happy that we decided to go with the Aquarium and would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for something unique, fun, and memorable!”

“We got married just about a month ago at Hyla Brook Estate! To say our day was perfect would be an understatement. We had the pleasure of working with Ashley from touring in a hard hat through having her as our day of coordinator! She is truly one of a kind. I am a wedding coordinator myself, so coordinating a wedding coordinators wedding is no small task. She made me feel at ease and able to let go and enjoy my weekend. She was always there with a smiling face to help in any way she could. My wedding party and family had so many amazing things to say about her. It was the perfect weather day, except when dinner service began. We decided to go an untraditional route and have food trucks for dinner. It started to absolutely downpour outside off and on when guests had to go get their food. The Hyla Brook staff was outside with umbrellas walking guests to and from the trucks the entire time. One of my guests even told me a story recently that she had already taken off her shoes and was going to go barefoot and one of the staff members had some of my provided flip flops ready for her to walk outside. Needless to say, everyone working there was amazing and I could not recommend having your wedding at Hyla Brook Estate enough! We wish we could go back and relive our day over and over!”

“We recently had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Gallifords. We are not from the area and the wedding venue gave us a list of suggestions for the rehearsal dinner. We tried several other venues but was most impressed with Gallifords. Initially we were skeptical about having the event at the zoo. Gallifords was the most accommodating of any other restaurant. The private function room came with a private patio with views of the zoo. We had three staff members take care of our event. The food was outstanding. The staff was beyond outstanding and made the event even more special.”

“I cannot thank the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor enough for everything they did to help make our wedding the most magical experience of our lives. I could not have picked a venue that better reflected me and my husband. We live 15 minutes away from the Hyatt by the water and it perfectly reflects the mix of coastal and city vibes that we love so much. Leading up to the wedding we would go to the Hyatt's restaurant regularly so we could become familiarized with the venue and just enjoy the stunning scenery. We will continue to always do that and will be reminded of our incredible wedding day there, and at this point the Hyatt feels like a 2nd home to us. The staff members were so professional and helpful the weekend of the wedding and truly throughout the whole year planning process, especially Joan and Kim who were our main contacts. They were extremely responsive and any roadblock we may have run into they addressed immediately and were so accommodating. On the big day itself we had so many people come up to us saying it was one of the most beautiful weddings they've ever been to, with the most spectacular views. The sunset was unreal, and I highly recommend getting the raw bar which just added to the ambiance during cocktail hour as well! We had a 3 event weekend with a welcome hour the night before, the wedding itself, and then the farewell brunch and it all went off without a hitch. People could not get over the location, views, and overall aesthetic and loved the hotel rooms as well. For our rehearsal dinner in Seaport we were able to go right in the backyard of the hotel and take the Boston Water taxi to and from the dinner which was a major benefit and highlight of the weekend! Then when we got back to the hotel, the welcome hour was all set up and ready for us to have Hors d'oeuvres and a full bar for the remainder of our guests who arrived at the hotel the night before the wedding! We hired a guitarist/vocalist to perform at the welcome hour and the venue space on the 2nd floor veranda was perfect for the event and a huge hit! Another big highlight outside of the wedding itself was getting ready day-of in the Junior Suite. My bridesmaids and the Moms were so comfortable and had a blast getting ready throughout the day in a gorgeous space overlooking the city. We had breakfast and lunch brought into the suite for all the girls and it was delicious. Even the guys had their own private space to get ready as well in a big conference room which was perfect for them. Overall the getting ready experience, the events surrounding the wedding, and the wedding itself was everything we could have dreamed of and I'm so grateful to the Hyatt. We also got so many Hyatt points by having our wedding there that our entire Hawaii honeymoon stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai ended up being covered by those points! It was an incredible benefit and really a cherry on top of our dream coastal/city wedding. We would recommend to anyone to have their wedding at the Hyatt Regency Boston Harbor :)”

“We had our wedding at Woods Hill Pier 4 last weekend and it was the most amazing experience. I wouldn’t change anything. Everything, from food & drinks, to the staff, logistics, and organization, was perfectly executed. I had being hoping our wedding felt like a really nice dinner party and that was exactly what WHP4 provided. From even the first time I reached out to inquire, the staff was attentive, organized, and generous. Working with the team to organize the menu and drinks was easy and fun. Many of our guests said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. I have celiac and the staff made sure we had lots of options to accommodate myself and other guests. We even had a gluten free wedding cake that was some of the best cake we’ve ever had. No one believed that it was GF. We had been hoping for our ceremony & cocktail hour to be outside but had to do it all inside due to the weather. The staff was able to ensure there was no bottle neck at the bar, caviar cart, or raw bar. Our guests didn’t even realize that we had been planning to do it outside. Everything was seamless. The whole night was incredibly magical. We are so grateful for everything that Emily, Courtney, and the team did for us.”

The Barn is decked out with antique decor and has two large fireplaces to help create a cozy New England atmosphere. Four Winds Farm is over 300 acres of land in Southern New Hampshire including forests, rolling hillsides, mountain-views, a wetland walking trail, and all the fall foliage your guests can handle. Our 1700's barn was converted to being a center for theater and productions in the early 1900's and features a fantastic backdrop from a 1920's production. It is lit up with market lights and antique lanterns. We provide round tables and white chairs to be set up however you choose, and we can accommodate whatever vendors and catering you prefer. The grounds of the estate offer magical maple tree ceremonies with mountain vistas, a sunken garden cocktail hour, and an enchanting rehearsal dinner spot. We offer single and multi-day packages so you can keep it simple or make it grand!
