Gillette in the 1920’s by Wallace Neff, architect of California’s Golden Age. The Ballroom seats up to 180 with a dance floor, or you may dine outdoors with up to 275 guests on the expansive Great Lawn with a view of Malibou Lake. Our rates are most applicable for guest counts of 125+ based on day of the week (with an average of 175+ on a Saturday where our rate is the highest). We offer a (non-holiday) weekday Monday-Thursday evening rate that is our most cost effective and a win for clients anticipating fewer than 100 guests. We typically work with events with a minimum guest count of 75 on a weekday.

Built in 1926, our facility has been the setting for hundreds of wedding celebrations, birthday and anniversary parties, celebration of life events, corporate events, and more. The clubhouse includes a ballroom with an elevated stage, tea room, bridal suite, and kitchen. The outdoor courtyard is a private walled area with arched wrought iron gates, large fountain, majestic oak tree, and mature garden. Our venue accommodates up to 130 guests and has a private, spacious parking lot.

For any event, there is truly no better combination of view, privacy, flat space, accessibility, parking, and natural beauty for events anywhere in Malibu! This private venue is not available for use by the general public, and is only available by qualified referrals, and only limited dates are available. The El Rey Theatre is an original art deco theatre in the heart of the Miracle Mile. Upon entering the venue, you are welcomed by one of the most ornate marquees in Los Angeles, as you enter the venue, the walls are painted a deep red and the walls and ceilings are covered in chandeliers that glow with pin spot LED lighting, mixing old with the new.

We are a 20-room resort and can easily accommodate up to 44. We host many events throughout the year and can help make yours one your guests will never forget. We have a two-night minimum and additional nights can be added. It includes 4 event locations and sleeping arrangements for all your guests, 4 pools, 4 jacuzzis and a beautiful white sandy beach. Food and drink are not included and can be customized to fit your needs. If you choose Gran Sueño, we have incredible vendors (event planners, caterers, florists, photographers) we have worked with that we can recommend or you are welcome to use your own.
