The La Cañada Thursday Club is a beautiful, historic gem of a property located in the heart of La Cañada Flintridge. Built in 1926, our facility has been the setting for hundreds of wedding celebrations, birthday and anniversary parties, celebration of life events, corporate events, and more. The clubhouse includes a ballroom with an elevated stage, tea room, bridal suite, and kitchen. The outdoor courtyard is a private walled area with arched wrought iron gates, large fountain, majestic oak tree, and mature garden. Our venue accommodates up to 130 guests and has a private, spacious parking lot.

    Perfect, Dreamy Intimate Wedding Venue

    There are so many positive things that I’d like to share about the La Cañada Thursday Club! I first toured the venue about 2 years ago and fell in love the moment I saw the courtyard. The beautiful big trees, the way the bright pink bougainvillea plants draped around the entrance gates, and the fountain with the beautiful teal Spanish tiles.. it was everything I could want and more! The garden out front is the perfect area to take photos with its shady green trees. My absolute favorite detail are the beautiful deep teal doors! Another perfect area for photos. The ballroom is equally beautiful! While the space does hold up to 130 people, it’s the perfect place for an intimate celebration and I loved that there was a tearoom area for our Photo Booth and dessert/coffee area. We absolutely loved our wedding! We loved working with Ani. You can truly tell that she enjoys doing what she does because she showed us so much care during the planning process, she always made us laugh, always checked in to ask how we were doing/feeling. She was professional and showed great attention to detail, made sure to answer any question we had and most importantly made sure we were happy! She worked well with our wedding coordinator and vendors and worked alongside Jose (venue maintenance worker). Ani even left us the sweetest message on our audio guest book (After the Tone). I’m so happy to have her voice recorded in our messages, she helped make our day so special and I will always thank her. Everything flowed so seamlessly! I also have to give praise to Jose, who does the maintenance and help around the venue. The day before our wedding we were able to access the venue to set up, drop off items, and Jose was there helping our family, answering questions. Even the day of the wedding Jose was there to step in and help and would check in our our guests as well! Our guests raved on how beautiful the venue and how helpful the staff was. We truly feel so blessed to have been able to celebrate our special day at the La Cañada Thursday Club. I wish I could relive our wedding day all over again, you could just feel the presence of so much love in the room. Thank you so much to Ani & Jose for making our wedding so beautiful and special!

No, our clubhouse is available for rent to the public.
Yes, we have a list of approved caterers that you can select from since our club does not have an in-house caterer. Under certain circumstances, we may allow other caterers, but restrictions apply and a $650 catering buyout fee will be charged. Please email us for more information. All caterers must be licensed and insured.
The maximum occupancy is 130 guests (128 family and friends, plus the bride and groom).
The venue rental fee is $6,700 and includes 10 hours of venue access time (time for set-up, reception, cleanup, and breakdown). The following items are included: • Tables and chairs • Wooden podium and pull-down screen • Grand piano on large stage • High boys / low boys / bar • Indoor globe string lights in the ballroom • Lounge furniture • Outdoor market lighting • Bridal suite with powder room There is a separate fee of $250 if you use the Club for your rehearsal, and $300 if you have your ceremony at the Club
We require a $1,000 Reservation Fee to reserve your date. The Reservation Fee is non-refundable and is applied toward the venue rental fee. If you are unable to celebrate your event at the club due to the bride or groom having COVID-19, or because of a natural disaster, your Reservation Fee will be applied toward a future reservation date within 12 months of the originally reserved date.

Yes. The La Cañada Thursday Club permits a variety of wedding vendors (e.g., caterers, florists, DJs, photographers, wedding coordinators). We can provide a list of recommended wedding vendors or you can find your own.
The venue opens at 1:00pm. (For brunch weddings the 10-hour block of time may be adjusted.)
Your reception must end by 10:00pm. A minimum of one hour is needed for cleanup and breakdown, and the premises must be vacated by 11:00pm. This time cannot be adjusted.
Music is permitted outdoors with some restrictions. Ceremony music, background music, or soft acoustic music for cocktail hour is allowed up to the early evening. No dancing is permitted outdoors. Exceptions can be made for traditional wedding dances only (i.e., couple’s first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance).
You will need to provide Personal Liability Insurance, also known as a One Day Event Rider, for $2 Million in general liability and expressly lists the La Cañada Thursday Club as an Additional Insured. This insurance is estimated to cost about $200 for a one-day plan.
Yes, however all alcohol must be served at the bar by a certified bartender. Also, your Personal Liability Insurance must include alcohol coverage, known as Host Liquor Liability. Guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol. In accordance with California law, proper identification for any persons appearing to be under the age of 30 will be required. Please inform your guests and wedding party that they may be asked to show ID to be served an alcoholic beverage. You agree to be responsible for the consumption of alcoholic beverages by all guests and understand that the bartender may refuse service to any guest.
No, self-serve of any alcohol is strictly prohibited. Alcohol must be served at the bar by the bartender. If your caterer offers a wine or champagne pour service, the catering staff is allowed to serve the alcohol to adults 21 years and older at the tables. Guests may be asked to show ID if they appear under the age of 30.
Yes, you must hire a professional wedding coordinator to direct your vendors and manage wedding day activities.
Yes, photo booths are allowed. A 10’L x 10’W x 8’H photo booth may be set up in the Tea Room or in the Courtyard. There are 3-pronged outlets with standard 120V available in both areas. Your vendor should bring all of their own equipment, including any tables and extension cords.
The mantel is 8’L x 10”D. The fireplace is 91”W x 60”H (from the floor to the top of the mantel). The opening of the fireplace is 46”W x 39”H.
Candles must be in glass containers. No open, exposed candles are allowed. Rose petals, confetti, glitter, rice, silly string, bird seeds, sparklers, and fireworks are not allowed. You may use silk petals.
Please appoint an attendant to look after your personal items and gifts. It is your responsibility to collect all items brought in and delivered to the venue All items must be cleared at the end of the event.
