TL;DR: If you're questioning a wedding planner. You found your person in Shelby. She will be your teammate and advocate. Let me start by saying 5 stars is not enough for Shelby. What she was able to do over the course of a few months and the day of our wedding, and even after, is no short than a miracle. My aunt said it best, "She was just meant to do this job", and it shines through every conversation, detail, and edge she was able to walk me back from. I contacted Shelby originally for a month of coordinator. Soon after, I realized even for a type A project manager, I was in over my head planning an Alabama wedding from Philadelphia, PA. She walked me through everything and that's when I said I need her on my team and I need her skills now for everything between today and the wedding day. The best decision I made through the process (debatably even more so than saying yes to my husband) was hiring Shelby. She made the transition from what I prepped and thought I had under control to the most magical day I could imagine. I hired her about 5 months before the wedding. She always made me a priority no matter the occasion or time. I genuinely had the best wedding planner and gained a friend along the way. Planning a wedding 1,000 miles away definitely came with its moments, including a few mini meltdowns, but she handled everything to absolute perfection. I never once felt like I was bothering her or being “too much.” On the day of my wedding, she was nothing short of amazing. She kept me updated, calm, and reassured throughout the entire day. Even right before walking down the aisle, when my nerves were at their peak, she grounded me, soothed my anxiety, and made sure I was present and peaceful in the moment. She didn’t just plan my wedding — she carried the weight of it with care, love, and professionalism. If you are even considering working with her, DO IT! She went above and beyond, offering to bring additional decorations and even showing up the day before to assist with our traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony, which was not even on the same day as our official wedding. Brooke once told me during one of our many consultations, that the name of her business was “practically perfect” because nothing is ever 100% perfect, but her goal is to get it as close as possible. I didn’t realize how right she would be. First off the vendors she chose- the catering, the dj, the hair and makeup artist, the bartender, the florist… every single one of these vendors came through in a big way for me! They all knocked it out of the park, and that’s mostly because of Brooke! She knew what she was doing when she chose them, and she handled pretty much all of the communication. I just had to give approval and tell them exactly what I wanted, and Brooke made sure that happened. You just have to trust that you chose her for a reason and that she is going to make the right decisions. Every single thing about my day exceeded my expectations. Now let’s talk about her professionalism. I had someone at my wedding be… not so nice to her. Not Brooke’s fault. She handled it with grace and professionalism both during and after the situation, and made sure it caused as little of a hiccup as possible during my day. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me that Brooke was there for me every single step of the way taking care of things. Michelle truly went above and beyond just the day-of coordinating. She coordinated a couple intros zooms, got in touch with our venue and all of our vendors beforehand and brought us solutions when we realized we were going to be rained on. The day of she was a straight shooter - direct and ran a tight ship. But she was also warm, friendly and upbeat. Her assistant even took care of my dog for me and made sure he was fed and walked!
