LifeSlice Photography started in 2009 as a part-time business by Mike and Elsie Nordtvedt. We are well known for our ability to capture a couple’s unique and beautiful story. We have a knack for helping the bride and groom feel how beautiful, stunning, and magnificent they truly are. After five years, we became full-time photographers. Wedding photography, take us up and down I-5, all over the state of Oregon and beyond. We have even had the chance to travel to Eastern Europe and work with orphans in Belarus. We believe that everyone has a story to tell. So, let’s get together and talk more. We would love the chance to tell your story, too.

My journey in photographing started when my sister handed me her old 35mm camera and said “Go have fun!”. I was hooked! I haven’t been able to put a camera down since. I love using natural light to create soft, organic and romantic images. I shoot digital now but love tossing in a bit of film every now and then. I love hear couples love stories, their hope and dreams for their lives together. So here is ours! I met my hubby when I was 17. We began our happily ever after 3 years later when we were married at a private home along the McKenzie river in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. We now have two beautiful children and two adorable puppies.

I am a firm believer that friendship comes from learning the weird and quirky about a person, and still wanting to hang out with them after. A POET WITH A CAMERA IN HER HAND: I’m Ayla — pronounced “eye-luh”, like “I love you” — and I never quite grew out of seeing things the way I did as a kid: heart first, bright eyed, curious about everything and particularly drawn to movement and pretty light. My travels, my writing (certified art school kid), and my big family have brought me from that inquisitive, emotional child to the woman I am today: knee deep in wonder & riverbeds, usually mid-laugh, and so full of gratitude for my life I can hardly contain it to language.

Weddings are my passion and capturing love stories is one of my greatest joys. Some fun facts about me, I’m a mother of four and I’ve been married to my husband for about 15 years. Hi there! I'm Hannah! I'm an adventurer at heart- I love backpacking and exploring central Oregon. I'm one of the rare people that is actually from Bend - but I started my photography career in New York City capturing events for Central Park. I met my husband, convinced him we were Oregonians at heart and moved back! My philosophy for photography is that when you look at your photos a few week after your wedding you think not only about how amazing you look- but how natural & wonderful you felt. How many moments were captured that you never even realized. That you cannot wait to frame them & put them on your walls!
