I put so much love into every session from couple’s portraits to full-day weddings and Destination wedding weekends. I pour a little bit of myself into every piece of art I make and I can't wait to learn who you are, and what moves you.

I bend the nostalgic feeling of film and real moments of documentary photography into each of my galleries. I want my couples to experience their wedding day fully and celebrate with their most cherished people rather than it feeling like one big photoshoot.     We hired Val for as our Wedding Photographer and it was truly the best decision we made for the entire wedding. Val was responsive, incredibly helpful, willing to email/call/text throughout the entire process and very knowledgable not just about wedding photography, but about all things planning. Not to mention she has a heart of gold and is truly the most loving, encouraging and supportive person to work with. She gives you her FULL attention, whether in person or on the phone and makes it clear that this is not just a job for her, she is here to experience the day with you. We had an hour long phone call before the day in which she provided valuable insight into our timeline, and helped me flesh out a 12 hour timeline to ensure we got to everything we wanted. She showed up EARLY on the day of, was above and beyond prepared, and treated absolutely everyone, whether fellow vendors or our friends and family with true kindness and respect. She is half therapist half photographer I would say, as she is willing to be with you in moments of emotions to provide kind words and a reassuring smile, but also to capture those moments with her unbelievable talent. NOW TO HER PHOTOS- we were BLOWN away. I am a wedding coordinator myself and I look at thousands of galleries a year, and when I say I have never seen such raw emotion captured, paired with a beautifully creative eye, I mean it. We told Val we wanted less posed photos and more candid shots, and she absolutely nailed it. She sent us sneak peaks less than 12 hours after our wedding ended, and had the full gallery back to us in less than a MONTH. That is unheard of in this business, and Val did not sacrifice a single image quality, creativity or intentionality. We are so beyond happy with our pictures, and so thankful to have had Val by our side for our wedding. She is also amazing at providing prompts that inherit true reactions, which I loved. I gave her a two page long shot list of family photos, and she cruised right through them, without any stress or confusion. She was patient in time when we were running behind, and was flexible to move around timeline items as necessary. We did our private vows and asked her to give us a little space, and I didn't even notice she was there, but she got the MOST beautiful images that did not interrupt our moment by one bit. Val is truly wonderful to work with and I would recommend her to absolutely ANYONE!!! HIRE HER RIGHT NOW!

    A few years ago my husband and I knew we wanted to have our engagement photos in Arizona. We hired Valerie and that was the best decision. Traveling from Texas to Arizona, we weren’t sure where the best place for photos were but she gave so many great options and was even willing to drive up to Sedona and take a hike with us so we could get the great views we wanted. Our photos were amazing and we still get compliments on them to this day. Fast forward a few months and we hired her for our wedding. Valerie stuck with us throughout the long wedding planning process and was always supportive and responsive when I had questions. There was never any doubt that she was in our corner. When my husband and I were having second guesses on wedding decisions due to how they might photograph, Valerie was always there to answer a text or schedule a call to put our mind at ease. During my wedding day Valeria was so attentive, had the most wonderful energy and always reassured us that if we needed anything, just to let her know. Our wedding photos turned out amazing, it was so hard to figure out which ones to frame. Guests from our wedding are still making comments on how wonderful Valerie was and how she made the picture taking process so fun! I would hire her over and over again and she will continue to be our Arizona photographer! 1000% recommend for anyone’s engagement and/or wedding needs!
